Synopsis

Welcome to "Pages of Progress," a collection of short stories that embodies my journey of English language development. This book represents my dedication to improving my English writing skills and shifting my mindset from a Chinese writer to an English writer.   Throughout this collection, you will find a compilation of the short stories I have written as I strive to bridge the gap between languages and refine my grammar. Each story reflects a step forward in my quest for growth and improvement.   With the help of ChatGPT, I have been able to revise and enhance my writing, addressing grammar issues along the way. This collaborative process has been invaluable in honing my skills and shaping my understanding of the English language.   "Pages of Progress" is a testament to my commitment to continual development. As I update this book, I eagerly anticipate witnessing my progress unfold.   Join me on this journey of improvement and discovery as we explore the pages of "Pages of Progress: A Series of Short Stories." Together, let us celebrate the power of language and the transformative nature of dedicated practice.   ------------- Yes, the sentences above were all improvised by ChatGPT. And the following texts was my current level. I’ve been struggle in English writing as I have no one to review it (unless I pay someone to do so, of course). Now with the help of ChatGPT, I think I should have some improvement in my writings…I guess? Most of the short stories were written in Chinese few years ago when I was in college. I decided to rewrite all of them in English - rewrite it, not translating it. The rewrite version would be much longer with extended content, and then revised by ChatGPT so that it sound fluent…And I type the revised version word by word into my document so that I could remember which part was edited by the AI. (If you see any silly errors, most probably my bad when I type it into my document.) I hope one day I could write and with enough confidence to say, “This is good enough, I don’t need AI to check on it anymore.” PS: I can’t guarantee on how frequent I could post a new story, but it will be updated once in a while when I have time.
