Interlude - World map and updates

Private life has been pretty shitty lately, and though I try to write something every day, it's slow going. What I do have is a world map that might help make things a bit clearer! This is mean to be a representation of what a good in-world map might look like, so some things are intentionally not entirely accurate: Scale (especially for Kara and its island) can be off, and the extent of nations isn't always quite true. For instance, the people of Ogwa live along the major rivers within the area marked on the map so most of the shaded area is effectively uninhabited, and much of southern Carpapalpia is autonomous.

Also, just a review of the intelligent races and where they're from. Generally speaking, a person of any species can live most anywhere and there's been a lot of intermingling of cultures and movement of people, but naturally the different peoples make up a majority in their ancestral lands.

Anura: Amphibious, frog-like people who come in a variety of colours and colourations. They are on average a bit shorter than a human, with long, strong legs. Ancestral homes are in Ogwa and Parvo, though the two groups have been separated for millenia.

Centaurs: Half human, half horse people, and about as tall as a human on a horse. Their upper halves tend towards fairly dark, tan skin, while their horse halves come in a variety of colourations. Most tend to keep to themselves simply out of practicality: Most other peoples do not build with centaurs in mind. They hail from the southern half of Carpapalpia.

Coatls: Intelligent, highly magically-skilled serpents. Magically created via ritual, and generally believed to be the descendants of creations by ancient paragons. Primarily live in Coazatlan, which is also where all new coatls are formed.

Crystallines: Mostly humanoid people made from the strange, nigh-unbreakable glass on the Glass Coast around Ianarion in Shaumanor.

Dragons: Not quite a people, exactly, but don't let them hear you say that. They are few in number as the environment cannot sustain a large population, and while they once lived all over the known world Meromernax has forced them to - at least partially - live in her court made from solidified clouds surrounding the peaks of Meromernax.

Droxi: Dragon-like people, though their precise origins are unknown. Some say they are the offspring of dragons mating with other peoples, others that they were made by Meromernax. Their ancestral home is Meromernax, and most consider her a god.

Dwarves: Human-like people, but who rarely reach 1.5 meters in height. They are one of the most widely dispersed peoples, as their homelands were near-abandoned at one point but Moapale is seeing a resurgence.

Elves: Human-like people, though slightly taller on average. Their most notable feature that separates them from humans is gemlike hair- or eyecolours, or else gently shimmering skin, which has given them a reputation for beauty among humans. They hail from Shaumanor and Olumelu.

Humans: Humans, and they dominate the western continent. They have an olive complexion, tending to darker in the south.

Kobolds: Short, lizardlike people with an average height of about a meter, and earth-tone skin. Most live in small, close-knit "tribes" and they have no nation of their own. While today they can be found most everywhere if you look - including some groups in the Shallows - it is believed they originate from the far west of the western continent.

Mikhuq: Puma-like people, with fur ranging from pale yellow to golden, of about equal height with humans. Their teeth and claws are both sharp and strong, and they come from Olotlanco and the northern half of Carpapalpia.

Minotaurs: Very tall people with bovine features: Short fur on most of their body, a snout, and horns, though they do not have hooves. Brown is the most common fur colour, but others are by no means rare. They come from Sunhang.
