After 2-3 days spent in the army base, Darion has started getting used to the daily activities within the facility, and he actually started liking the place.
They wake up very early in the morning and go on a long morning jog. After eating a heavy breakfast, they go to a series of lectures and physical demonstrations, coupled with additional exercises and mind puzzles. After lunch, they go on more of the same until late afternoon, wherein they are given a break until tomorrow, where they start all over again.
At first, the exercise was so demanding that Darion almost always started to collapse, but as the day goes by, he finds that both his body and mind started to adjust until he is used to it, and suddenly, he is taking it in stride.
During lectures, he learned that the physical phenomenon is something common to most empowered beings. "After a while, you will find that you feel lighter, stronger, faster, and healthier than you normally feel," Sergeant Mahoney said. "We found out that the least of you will have generated a body with the condition of an Olympic athlete on his/her prime. So I don't want to hear anyone of you bitching about the exercises that you are getting because it is all good for you."
True enough, Darion finally received a level up in both "STRENGTH" and “CONSTITUTION” by the end of the first week. More importantly, he unlocked another upgrade:
Congratulations! You have unlocked the ability "Hyper Stamina."

"Alright, ladies. That is all for the day. You are now dismissed," The sergeant said. The way he scooped his things up made everyone think he wanted out of that room more than the students themselves. "Remember, bunkhouse, miscellaneous shop, and mess hall only. That is all you guys are allowed to go to at this time. You are not free to wander around the base. Understood?"
A chorus of "Sir! Yes, sir!" answered him, and he was gone.
As the class moved to leave the classroom, Darion stood up, but a petite Asian woman blocked his way. "Hey, telekinetic boy," she said, and Darion raised an eyebrow.
“Me and the guys are talking,” she said. Darion remembered that her name is Akiko. Despite her Japanese looks, her family is also a long time American and a lot of her forefathers serve the country, not in war but in building things. Apparently, one of her ancestors is there when the statue of liberty was erected. Also, his Great, great grandfather died from malaria as they build the hoover damn. At least that is how she introduced herself originally in class. Darion mildly questioned how he remembered all that.
“Scott over there remembered a small town several miles away from here that the bus passed through. Wanna join us to explore some quaint little town’s nightlife?”
“We haven’t been here for more than a week and you already want to break the rules?” Darion asked incredulously.
Akiko scoffed at him. “Like the sergeant said, we are only civilians, We get some slack with all those crappy rules they are imposing.”
“And how are you planning to get there? Boost a military vehicle?”
“We’re superheroes, remember?” She reminded him, smugly. “What is a few miles away compared to us? Come on, it will be fun, be a rebel!” She zipped around him in a blur, like an over-excited puppy.
Darion sighed. “Nah, I’ll take a rain check,” he said. “My life is already complicated as it is. I’m not gonna help revolutionized a town’s nightlife just to stick it to the man”
The Asian chick stared at him for a moment longer. “Soothe yourself,” Akiko said turning away.
“He ain't coming. Dude’s a boy scout,” she said to her other companion. There were some halfhearted jeers and boos but no one gave him a hard time about it, and Darion appreciated it deep inside.
Darion smiled at the other group as he separated from them and he walked alone towards the barracks.
