I moved closer to towards the crowd of people gathered around the a small bald and skinny merchant, he stood next to a cage that was covered up with a dirty sheet, he yelled out loud.

"gather....gather noble ladies and gentlemen gather and see one of the most rarest breeds of darkling!" hmm darkling I wonder what that is while I was distracted the crowd whispered to each other "a darkling....they are worth a fortune..as slaves..." then another one whispered "would be nice if it were a female....hehe" he had a lewd smile on his face.

Hmm rare....worth a fortune.....girl? I wonder what this darling looks like when it can cause such a ruckus even awake lust in these humans.

But one thing I am certain the thing that is called darkling and is locked and covered inside the cage is in fact looking straight at me.....I wonder how it can see me from under there.

"And now noble ladies and gentlemen I present to you a darkling with the rarest eyes of them all!!" He removed the dirty sheet......indeed a girl.....but such a depressing sight I can see darklings aren't that different from humans except they have pointy ears like elves.

The darkling has long dirty brown hair and it's just a child....and not even feed well on the child there are just skin and bones stuck together even her face is dried up she wore some torn rags, but now I understand why are darklings so rare....this child's eyes they are completely black even more than my black adamantium body.

"oho!!" the crowd let out a yell "indeed such a rare darkling I give ten gold coins!" one yelled "I give twenty!" and another one "fourthy!" yelled the man that wanted to ravage the poor darkling....disgusting.

"such rare eyes....this darkling is indeed worth a fortune I give sixty!" 

"sigh" I turned around and wanted to leave, but just as I was about to I felt something trying to form a link with my mind, I let it form I didn't really had a reason to not let it.

When the link was done I heard a voice inside my head and I felt weak magic ".....I....Command....you...to...realse...me" I heard a weak voice, I turned around and looked at the darkling, she blinked a few times in conformation.

"hoh so you command me little darkling....you should know that your magic doesn't work on me....sorry....nice try tho" that's right this little one tried to control me but....you can't just control the overlord right?

She widened her eyes in shock, even a few  tears formed in the corner of her eyes "...this...is..it...then.." those were the last words she said before she cut off the link with my mind.

Ah this is my first time talking with a child.....I might have been a little rough I connect to her mind and didn't even wait for her to let me inside I forcefully connected with her.

"now-now that was not nice you destroyed the link you used you last strength to form and didn't even wait for my reply...I just said your magic doesn't work one me" 

"........." The little darkling didn't even respond at first but "...how...can...you...connect...with...me?" she sounded surprised.

"oh well it's easy when you are a being that can destroy the world" 

"........" She just stared at me again.

"....will....you...help...?" 

"well that depends on what you can offer......and what can you offer?" I looked at her.

".....I...have..nothing...except....my....body..." oh my she really just said that....a child...."sigh" I think I joked around too much.

"first of all I have no need for...a females body....second I am not a sick insect-like these humans that would ravage a child even if I had the need for opposite gender...and last how about you serve me....you have some interesting power....mind control was it....tho I have something similar but....lets say different."

".....serve...?" she asked confused.

"Yes I could use a traveling companion....so what do you say?"  

"......." She stayed silent for a moment but she gave her reply soon ".....accept.."

"good to hear that" 

While I and the little darkling were having our mind conversation the merchant saw the darkling looking at me, he approached me with a smile.

"oho knight-sama you look like you must serve some hight ranking noble, and I see this darkling has taken a liking to you how about for two hundred gold pieces I will sell it exclusively to you hehe" he whispered.

"oh thank you for the offer but......I will be taking "her" for free" 

"wha............" the merchant wanted to say something but he was unable to say anything due to the large black sword piercing his chest.

"kyaa!!" the noble women started to scream and they started running away from me.

The black sword disappeared from my hand, I moved closer to the cage grabbed both ends of it and broke it in two.

I reached out and touched the darkling's forehead and spoke inside her mind again "what's your name little one?"

"...dont...have..." hmm now this is a problem...I wanted to for a servant contract with her....all of my generals have one...but she needs to have a name..

"Ok then how about.....Elen?" ah it just popped up....Elen was the first mage that gave her life to seal me away in my old world.

"....Elen..." she just nodded weakly "okay than Elen....do you accept to serve me the overlord Laraeth till the end of time, for all eternity?" 

"....accept..." she responded  "good now raise Elen as a proud servant of the overlord Laraeth!"....."oh this might hurt a little" 

"...huh?....." And it began the contract, a tattoo started forming on her left hand, she opened her mouth from the pain but there was no sound....a soundless scream...the tattoo started extending all the way towards her neck where it stopped.

"it looks like the contract is completed...so how does your new body feel ?" I asked her.

"I can.....I can move..." she moved her legs and arms, she still needs to eat and regain some weight, she is still skin and bones after all...but the contract does give her a small share of my power, so she should be alright for a little longer.

I looked behind me and saw a group of soldiers moving over here and behind them the fat man Steros, seems like the party is about to start.

I grabbed Elen "wahh!" she lets out a little squeak, I place her on my shoulder, she is so small that its like made for her.

"hold on tight....there will be hell here soon" She grabbed my shoulder tightly and grinned "I'm glad master"
