*Scene setting, A girl with a few bruises and pale skin with white hair sits on a hilltop overlooking a ruined city filled with green grass, trees, and wildlife. The wind slowly blowing through her hair, she takes in deep breaths as she relaxes after a day’s hunt. Beside her is a bag filled with meat that is easily double her size. As she relaxes, a darker toned skin boy walks up to her cautiously with a crossbow on his back and a jacket vest covering his chest with a red shirt beneath it. Reaching out he places his hand on her shoulder. Comparably he was more scrapped up but other wise in good health. *

???: “….”

??: “E…”

???: “….”

??: “Hey…Eve!”

???: “…”

??: “EVE! Wake up!”

Eve: “Ah! Im up! Wa…huh? What’s going on? Are we moving again Danny?”

Danny: “Ah no, he-he sorry for waking you. I know how much you like sleeping and all, but it’s getting late. We should head home before it gets too dark. Remember its-“

Eve: “Yes, it’s dangerous cause of the beasts…okay lets head home.” *She reaches over and grabs her bow and satchel of meat. With a huff she places it over her shoulder and starts to head home leading them back down the path they took. *

Danny: “Alright, when we head back, I think I’ll take over cooking tonight for the village. After all we have been kind of lazy about help inside the village.”

Eve: *She nods. *

*The village itself was a ruined warn down small neighborhood. Old houses, a side store which acted as the general storage place for the village. There were kids, teenagers’ adults, and seniors. All doing their part to survive. When the two came back home Eve smiled and waved as two children ran up to her. One with red hair and pink cheeks, and another with blue hair and a freckled dirtied face from playing in the dirt. *

Rosy: “Eve’s back Eve’s back! What did you guys catch this time!?”

Fiona: “Yeah!! I beat she got a bear this time! She’s the best hunter!”

Danny: *Danny sighed. * “Rosy, Fiona, I was there too... come on guys…”

Eve: *With a small smile she pats Danny on his head. * “Danny was…he was backing me up while we hunted, we found this huge Moose. If it were not for Danny here, I would have died probably! He’s the hunter for the day.” *She smiles after finishing. Danny blushed but gained some pride. *

Danny: “Okay come on Eve…being so sincere…Don’t you have to start cooking already?”

Eve: “Yeah yeah…Just make sure to not take too long cleaning up, I’ll get started.” *She pats the children’s heads before heading to the village kitchen with the large sack on her back. *

*The kitchen was in comparison to the outside was cleaner and more well furbished. With a few stoves, coolers, and a long table to prepare the food on. Eve makes her way to the long table spreading the large sack on the table with ease. She was not new to cooking exactly. However, she was not the best, at least she would try today. *

* Spreading the slabs of meat and bones across she starts to clean the meat with access water via a system set up using old world technology. After a few minutes, the water would clean the infected blood out of the meat and cleanse the meat. *

Eve: “Alright Danny should be back by now… I guess I can start with out him.” *She grabs a wide slab with a single hand and moves it to a cleaner cutting board. Taking a large blade, she starts to saw into the meat to slice it up into portions. Taking out any bones she comes across. As she was cutting, she began humming an old tune. One she heard in a radio she found in one of their adventures. *

Danny: “Eve? You still working?” *Danny rushes into the kitchen to find she was still humming and cutting. *

Eve: *She stopped as he entered, talking to her She turned her head. * “Yeah, just passing the time by singing. Care to join me?”

Danny: “Oh come on…You know I’m not that much of a singer Eve.” *he scratches the back of his head. *

Eva: “She laughed at my hair, without knowing me, I am a smart dude, then I came along to see, What the brunette girl with a pretty smile and blue eyes wanted.” *She started to sing slowly an old tune she found interesting to herself…one that both knew. As she sang, she slowly started to cut into the meat while watching Danny to see if he would join. *

Danny: “What are you doing Eve…come on don’t make me do it. You know how bad I am.” *He tried to dodge the question starting to work on his own slice of meat. *

Eve: “We started to talk about crazy things without even realizing it, about our ex's and maybe I should not say, I came from west side and she is a south side girl.” *She continued to edge him on. *

Danny: “Jeez…don’t know when to stop…alright.” *He clears his throat and joins in. * “Girl, woman, who intimidates, attitude, of those who know what they want, even though weather changes, She is sun, is summer, is poetry, is song, That gladdens my heart.”

Both: “Brunette girl, I fell in love with the way you see I freeze time just to remember, About that scene when I was taking your dress off, And you was kissing me on the mouth.” *As they sang, their hands worked wonders slicing into the meat with each passing beat. In unison they rose their voice as the people outside listened as they worked. All chatting about the duo. *

*However midway through their song, Eve cut a bit too fast as the knife slide and sliced her thumb off completely. She noticed. *

Eve: “AHHH! My thumb!” *She dropped her knife and held her hand tightly, wincing at the pain Danny ran over to help her. Only to come across an oddity. *

Danny: “E…Eve? Your wound…its….” *He pointed it out, there was no blood, but sophisticated wiring, synthetic gel and a strange liquid pouring out of the wound to simulate blood. *

Eve: “What… The….” *She felt no pain after seeing the issue, she looked down to find her thumb twitching and sparking and the large knife broken in half due to the cutting of her thumb. She looked back at her wound which stopped gushing the liquid out…with a wide eyed expression as her heart began to race, she slumped over and fell to the ground unconscious as the wound then continue to drain…all while Danny was screaming her name. *

Danny: “Eve! Wake up! WAKE UP EVE!”
