Aney bag, take some coins out of the bag, put the coins in my fabric hand purse, and put her money bag back into place. I walk up to the door again and knock on it.
The door opens and the girl says, “What do you want now?”
I say, “I have my friend’s money purse, and I’m going to give it to you, so that you let her go. I want all three of you to come out and talk to me. But you must stay at distance from me, and I will throw the purse to you and run away.” I walk away from the house.
They come out of the house, and stand facing me in a line in front of the door.
I say, “You stay where you are while I walk away. Once I’ve gained some distance from you, I’ll throw the money bag to you.”
At about fifty feet distant from them, I throw my purse containing ten quarters far away from them.

As the kidnapers run towards the money purse, I see Tom and Lisa waving for me to come to them from the back corner of the house.
When I join Tom and Lisa, we run into the woods. We keep on running until we’re sure the kidnapers can’t find us, and then we stop.
Lisa says, “Thank you guys for saving me. They demanded I hand over the lottery tickets and money. When I said I didn’t have them, they slapped my face.”
I say, “Oh yes, do you know where your lottery tickets and money are?”
Lisa says, “I threw them to you. I saw you lurking behind trees, and figured it was better you get them instead of the bullies.
I say, “Yes, I got your lottery tickets and money, and hid them in a nest full of fire ants. I used a little of your money to lure the kidnapers out of the house.”
I take the lottery tickets and money bag out of the nest of fire ants to hand them back to Lisa. I see two aggressive spiders with their fangs and stingers digging to burrow in her hair. I snatch a handful of leaves from a tree and brush the spiders off with them.
Her face white with fear, Lisa stares at the spiders scurrying around on the ground, with bubbles coming out of their mouths, their stingers slashing in the air.
“The kidnapers put me in a dusty basement full of spiders spinning their webs,” Lisa says.
