As soon as Leo appeared in this new world, a voice rang inside his head.
“Hey brat, I recorded this message before kicking your ass into the portal, listen carefully. You are at the Eldwin Empire; do not ask me the exact location because I do not know either. There are some methods for you to train your demonic body already inside your mind, and a way for you to contact me if something really bad happens, do not call me for anything stupid or I will kill you. This empire language is already inside your mind too, so do not worry, but the other languages you will need to learn by yourself, I am not your dad. First, enter a magic academy, when you succeed, then you can make the ritual to call me, I will then instruct you towards our goal.”
“You have a 12 years old kid body and nothing but your clothing, so good luck.”
He was completely lost. This bastard sent me to who knows where, without any penny, damn it.
Leo looked at his surroundings in hopes to see someone. Trees and bushes, the only things that entered his sight. A storm of animal sounds resonated through the forest, making him uncomfortable. I need to be careful, animals could be lurking.
He walked slowly, dodging the branches that were on the ground, noises would attract unpleasant guests.
What was that noise? Leo heard a sudden growl, he propped on a tree, hiding. He waved his head towards every direction, trying to found the creature that had growled, but nothing was near him. My demon body sure is impressive, I can hear from afar. Ortan did not lie to him after all.
Using the impeccable hearing, he was able to find a flowing water noise, his face got brighter. A river, which is a good sign, following the river could lead me to civilization. Hastening his steps towards the sound, he managed to arrive without problems.
Let me see how my new body looks like. It had the same appearance as his old 12 years old body back on Earth. Black-pitch hair, amber eyes, a well-shaped face, a thin body along with a small stature due to his age. At least I am not ugly.
The river was right in front of him; he crouched near the edge and drank water, using his hands to catch it. Why do I feel someone is watching me? Leo did a spin, entering a defensive fighting position, his back now facing the river.
A wolf, oh boy, my luck sure is pathetic. The animal was staring at him with hungry eyes, already savoring Leo’s meat inside its head. I do not have a weapon to defend myself, this wolf looks rather scary, and I do not know if I can handle it with my bare fists.
Not waiting for Leo to set up a plan, the wolf rushed towards him, with his mouth wide open, showing its sharp teeth. Fuck, what can I do? Think Leo. The only thing he could do was try to dodge the upcoming wolf’s leap, and so he did. Surprisingly his body responded quickly, rolling sideways.
Wow, how did I manage to dodge that? Back on earth, I was completely sedentary, never practiced any type of sport. Leo was shocked; he rolled like a master despite never having done that before.
A bold thought entered his mind, and he could not wait to test it. Fuck, I need to try this. He rushed towards the wolf, clenching his fist and throwing a punch at the wolf’s face. The punch approached the wolf at a fast speed, giving him no chance to retaliate. A loud noise, the wolf flew backward with blood streaming from his orifices. Oh man, I’m really strong, isn’t that a fang? He is toothless now. Leo felt excited, the power within his body was impressive, far beyond that a normal person.
Unexpectedly, the wolf fled after eating Leo’s punch. Hey big boy, are you not strong? Why are you running? Of course, the wolf did not listen to him and continued to run back to the forest.

Time to follow the river. Leo walked for fifteen minutes before a tragedy happened.
You again little wolf? Are you a masochist? The toothless wolf stared at him, howling. Behind him a pack of wolves appeared, there were eight of them.
Oh no, the puppy called his friends, I should have predicted that. Leo got scared, he couldn't go one versus nine using only his fists. Three wolves ran towards him, preparing to tear him apart.
Using his agile body, he was able to dodge the three upcoming attacks, but one wolf came through his blind spot and bit his left arm.
Aggrr, bastard. Blood dripping in the grass, making all the wolves go crazy. Will I die on the first day? I am so sorry mom… Leo was hopeless when facing many enemies. The universe for once lent him a hand.
Arrows stroke the wolves, causing a few to die instantly, and the rest was injured. A tall man equipped with a spear rushed into Leo’s direction, piercing his spear through the badly injured wolves, not giving them the slightest chance of surviving.
“Are you okay kiddo? Do not be scared, we are not your enemies.” The man asked Leo with a caring face.
“I am ok, thank you. May I ask your name?” Leo was truly grateful to them, but he would not let his guard down.
“My name is Mike, and that woman wielding a bow is my wife, Meredith. We live in a village not far from here. Where are your parents?” The woman approached them showing a lovely smile.
“I never met them, sir.” Leo gave them a sad expression at the thought of his mother.
“Wait, are you bleeding? Let me see.” Mike saw blood near Leo and realized that the boy was hiding the left arm behind his back. He pulled Leo’s arm, and a terrific wound entered his sight.
“This looks bad, come here, we will bring you to the village.” Not waiting for Leo’s response, he grabbed him and started to run south, Meredith following closely behind.
The village appeared soon after. Small, it did not have many buildings; everything was made of wood. The people worn simple clothes, they were all farmers. Kids ran, playful, and chickens roaming free as well.
When Leo arrived, wounded, everyone gave a concerned look; he was a kid after all.
“What happened, Mike? Where did you find this kid? An old man asked Mike as soon as they entered the village.
“We found him while hunting, a pack of wolves were trying to eat him. We will take care of him.” Mike said to the old man.
“Bring him to my lab; I can cast a healing spell to help him out.” The old man spoke sincerely.
“Thank you Rudir.” Mike showed a happy expression after hearing that, he was scared that something bad would happen to the kid, but with Rudir lending him a hand he had nothing to worry about.
They quickly entered a small wooden house; this was where Rudir lived and took care of his patients. Mike put Leo on a table in the middle of the house.
Rudir did not waste time and started to cast a healing spell right away. A magic circle appeared in front of his hands, and a yellowish glow spread alongside. He laid his hands on Leo’s wound, healing it at astonishing speed, naked-eye visible.
“Wow, what is this?” Leo asked Rudir after watching that display of magic.
“You never saw magic before? Where are you from kid?” Rudir got suspicious; everyone at Eldwin Empire and any Empire nearby knew about magic, it was common even among poor people, like Rudir himself.
“I don’t know sir; the only thing I remember is my name.” Leo decided to fake an amnesia, that way he could avoid problems.
“Mike, Meredith, this kid may have lost his memories, what are you going to do with him?” Rudir turned around to face them.
“We will take care of him for now; he is too young to roam around alone.” Meredith was the one that had spoken this time.
“That would be best, and also, if he is interested I can teach him a few spells, who knows maybe he got the talent.” Rudir was also happy seeing a new face around here, hoping the kid would have talent towards magic, that way he could share his knowledge with someone else.
“Tomorrow we can bring him here for you to make your tests, but for now he needs rest. Come, kid.” Mike told that to Rudir, he then grabbed Leo’s hand and went home.
“This is our home, I know it is simple but we are very proud of it. We have an empty room for you.” Leo followed him to a small room, with only a bed, a chair, and a table.
“You can sleep here; Meredith and I will be doing lunch.” Mike left for the kitchen after saying that.
They seem so nice, but I do need to be careful, I have only met them for a short time. Lying on the bed looking at the ceiling, Leo faded, completely tired after fighting the wolves.
“He is sleeping, should we wake him up for lunch?” Mike asked Meredith.
“No, let him sleep for a while, he almost died today.” They felt really close to Leo, maybe because they were together for many years and yet Meredith was unable to get pregnant.
Leo slept from morning to sunset, waking up excited.
All right, it is time to explore this new world baby.
