ChapterXIIi: Questions, Questions and Oh My Pactio! A Bath! (Final)
Recap: Sage just kissed Negi and the whole class saw. Negi’s roommates are ready to hound him and currently he is strolling to his dorm.
*With Negi*
Negi‘s head was in the clouds as he thought about the kiss that happen a few moments before. He was shock but pleased, weary yet calm. He chuckled at his current mood. Who would think a smooch from his little sister would send him into a aura of peace and happiness. He was so into his thoughts that he barely recognized he was dragged into his room.
Mana shoved him harshly into wall and hissed in his ear as she glared at him with hatred. “Who are you?! What are you?! What do you think when you stroll into a school knowing who you are and what you did?!” Zazie had to pry Mana off the young mage to prevent her from strangling the poor boy because Kaede wouldn’t.
She stared at Negi for a moment before she sighed. “You’re quite a puzzle aren’t you Negi-bozo?”
The red head raised an eyebrow. “Oh? How did you figure that out?”
Mana glared at him. “Ever since we found out that you are ‘Bloody Knockout’ a ruthless mercenary that supposedly retired from the field. They say that you would brutal attack your enemies and drag their unconscious who knows where. A rumor spread that one of your teammates was killed in battle and you stopped fighting all together.”
“Plus you were kissing cousins with your sister. Maybe they should change the expression to kissing siblings just for your case de gozaru.” Kaede inputted.
Negi scratched the back of his neck as he stared at the trio before him. “Ok. How about you asked questions and I answer. Deal.” The girls glanced at each other and nodded. “Might as well take a seat.”
They moved their investigation to the small couch in the center of their shared dorm, although Mana pulled up a chair and Negi sat on the floor.
No one said a word for a moment as they gazed at each other. Surprisingly, Zazie asked the first question…sort of.
“…?” Zazie raised an eyebrow.
Negi smiled fondly. “I not in any romantic relationship with Sage but you stumble on our lovely moments. Sage and I came to terms that we will never be your regular siblings with a love-hate relationship nor Sage will be able to express love well so made a plan to show each other we care five times year. That was our second moment.
Sage kiss wasn’t romantic but it was full of emotions. I felt happiness, love, warmth, sadness, anger and guilt. She wanted to release all her emotions in one memorable moment, what’s better than a kiss? I was the twin who was closer to his emotions, partially love and happiness. During our periods of love, I just let go. When I nuzzle Sage it’s not in a lover fashion, but to tell her, “I feel safe and happy with you.” And she understands crystal clear.
If I could I would be showing Sage in years’ worth of affection but she hates that…she knows I would treat her that way because that’s how I treat my other siblings. What would you do if you only had five moments to show all your love to someone you care deeply for? A moment could last for seconds or an entire day. A simple kiss on the cheek could count as a moment and next then you next you only have four left. Opps! You held hands, three left. I try to show every last feeling in those moments and saver them.”
Mana glare lost some of its potency but she still looked like she wanted to skin him. “Why should I believe you Bloody?”
Negi stared at Mana with empty eyes. “I had to lose some of my humanity in every one of my battles but I’ll tell you, I never killed a person in my life. In fact, they’re still alive and well. My code name was Bloody KO because I have red hair and my purpose in battle was to incapacitate and kidnap my enemies. I would drag their bodies to the next healing and transport unit. My partner, Underground, would inform me of our next mission, where to go, and who to meet. It’s not Sage.” He noticed the look Mana gave him as he was talking about his cohort.
Kaede stood in the background watching everything unfold. She was weary of her sensei but felt he wouldn’t harm them for so mysterious reason. During the interrogation he wants to clear up any bad air or misunderstandings around them. He wanted them to figure him out. Why do he want them to understand him? Why them? Those questions been bothering her for days but she didn’t want to ask because she felt it would take the mystery from Negi.
“Kaede,” She was startled out of her thoughts and opened an eye. She jumped when she saw him staring intensely at her. “the answer to your questions require you to trust me and never doubt. The seed of doubt will prevent you to find the answers.”
The ninja opened both of her eyes and shock was evidence on her face. ‘How did he know?’
Negi stood from his place on the floor and walked towards her until he was directly before her. He had to look down at her since she was sitting on the arm of the couch. “Trust in what you do not understand.” He smiled and offered her his hand. “You’ll be surprised.”
Kaede stared at the outstretched appendage before laughing and accepting his hand. “You’re a weird one, aren’t you Negi-bozo?”
Mana was alarmed. “Don’t you think is strange? A danger, he could turn on us at any moment!”
Zazie noticed that Negi gaze turned to her. She nodded her head and stood up with Negi’s other hand in hers. “…” He smiled.
Their combined gaze went to Man who still was glaring at the red head mage. He released both girls’ hands and went to Mana. The gunslinger glared became more venous the close he was to her.
He stopped when he was an arm’s length away from her. “Mana.” Her hand balled into fists. “I do not know what I did to you nor why you hate me so much but I do know that you dislike the idea that I was a mercenary. It may be from my name or I have wrong you in the past…let me show you I am good. Let us be allies. I want to know you and befriend you. I won’t let you down.” Mana continued to glare at the Mage as he offered his hand. She glances behind him to see a Kaede nodding then back at his determine face.
She closed her eyes and shook hands. “Don’t think you’re safe.” Her eyes burned into his head. “If I even get an inkling that you’re harming someone in this school, I give you two new holes in the side of your head.”

Negi gulped and nodded. Then he glanced at the clock on the wall. “I think it’s time to sleep.” The other residences agreed and left to sleep.
Kaede froze then gave him a fox like smile. “Oh Negi-bozo!” She sang. “You have to deal with class tomorrow because everyone else saw you kiss your sister.”
Negi skin paled and his eyes widen. “G-good n-night.” With that Negi went to sleep with horrible nightmares of his homeroom class.

Chapter IX: Explanation, and the Twins
Thank you for reading another installment of Small Ripples=Big Wave. I know it was late update but I been busy. Good news, someone actually voted on my poll. Thank you!
This chapter is another Negi/Sage sibling fluff.
Summary: Negi was interrogated his roommates.
Negi trudged slowly to his classroom, hoping something bad will happen to him. His hair was frazzled and he had dark bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. His mind was pledged with the word Kaede’s words from the night before.
*Flash back*
Kaede froze then gave him a fox like smile. “Oh Negi-bozo!” She sang. “You have to deal with class tomorrow because everyone else saw you kiss your sister.”
*End Flash back*
He shivered. ‘If the class really saw me, then I’m dead!’ He sighed and rubbed the back. “Maybe I can hide and live in Africa? I think Kenya would hide me.” He mumbled under him breath.
He noticed that he was in front of the Class of 2-A windows. He shrugged and observer at his students. Everyone was quiet and was sitting in their seats, aching to jump him when he enters. Asuna, Chisame and Ayaka were radiating bloodlust, Haruna was having very perverted thoughts, Ku looked confused, and the rest-par Evangeline, Chachamaru, Satomi, and his roommates-looked dejected.
‘This is not going to end well for me.’ He thought with a sweatdrop. He opened the door and faced his doom. Asuna immediately stood up and was about to march over to him until he glared at her. “Sit down Kagurazaka- san.” She hastily sat back in her chair.
He turned to glare at the girls. “I will be answering questions at the end of school. Come back here at 1600 hours. If you don’t know what that means, well your screwed.” He gave them one last glare before writing in the board. “We begin on lesson 5.”
*Time skip*
Negi couldn’t believe it. It’s 4:05 and his entire class was in the room. He stayed true to his word and was ready to answer any questions, but he didn’t expect everyone to come, Eva included.
‘They have no lives.’ He deadpanned before coughed, drawing everyone’s attention. “Since you’re all here, I can guess you have many questions.”
Kazumi Asakura, stepped forward with a large grin and even larger recording device. “For the sake of Madora News, is it true you forced yourself on your sister?”
Negi blanched. “No! I would never do that! Well… Sage might though.” He said with a blush.
His fellow red head inched closer. “So the accusations of you forcing yourself on your sister and making her kiss you were untrue?”
The boy glanced at her then nodded. “Yeah. Sage actually kissed me. I didn’t kiss her back.”
She looked suspects. “Your point is somewhat invalid. Moments before she kissed you, you were romantically hugging, cuddling, nuzzling and holding Sage.”
Negi rubbed his temples. ‘She proves a point. She would be a great journalist one day.’ “Sage and I always had a tight relationship. We don’t show it often because we bump heads more than normal but we are. When we do show that we care, I tend to go overboard. Honestly, I been doing that to her since we were eight years old. After we had an… accident a year later, our relationship changed. So-“
“What accident? How did it change your relationship?”
He ignored her and continued where he was cut off. “So we change the meaning of ‘romantic gestures’ and slowly drifted apart but came back together with a stronger bond. For example, I can hold sis hand and it will mean; ‘stay with me and don’t run off’, ‘hide’, ‘let me do the talking’ and ‘shut up and listen’.”
She looked confused. “Why? For you to come up with an elaborate way of commutation that means you two held hands a lot.”
Negi face turned into a grimace. “We had to. She was stalked by this weird boy who wanted to date her and wouldn’t take ‘No’ for an answer. I tried to make him back off but he accused me of being her boyfriend and was only going to use her. I went with the act and he was watching us 24/7 for two months.”
The red head paled at the idea of being stalked. She looked behind her and noticed a few girls paling too. Then something clicked in her mind. “Why did you have to be her boyfriend 24/7?”
Her fellow red head face darkened. “He installed cameras in my family’s house. We had nowhere but our rooms to hide in. Our oldest sister got tired of seeing us as a couple since she only allowed him to do that to torture us for a few days. We checked all the room and we found out he placed on in Sage’s room.” He gave them an evil grin. “I made sure he would never see again for peeping and my other sisters made it where he would never have children.” Negi began rubbing his hands together with an evil laugh. “No one hurts my baby sister.”
“Baby sister? Does that make you their baby brother?” She asked in a baby talk.
“Nope.” He dead panned. “To earn the ‘baby’ you have to be the weakest and most watched child in the family.” Negi face turned into a smile. “Sage, before she went insane, was a curious girl with a big heart and hated fighting. She was the one in the family who refused to learn martial arts.” ‘or magic.’ Negi thought.
Kazumi nodded. “So as the role as a brother you protected her. And as a twin you never left her side.” She glanced at the twins.
Negi shrugged. “Pretty much.”
She went into his personal space. “But that doesn’t explain why your sister kissed you.”
Negi opened his mouth but was interrupted by an unexpected person.
“Cuz I wanted to.” Sage entered the room in casual clothes, sucking on a lollipop.
“Sage you’re late you should have-.” He was interrupted again when she stuck a loll in his mouth.
She turned to the class with her hands on her hips. “Listen up! I kissed Negi because I wanted to and it expressed my emoticons. I don’t know how to show how I feel well other than acting crazy. We have moments where I’m normal and Negi tries to get me to response to his affections. I go along with it so, hopefully, we would have a stronger bond than before.
I heard a quote it said, ‘The only way too completely break a bond, a connection, is corruption and death.’ I want to reach a point where nothing, even death, could split us apart! We always are twins, but if something happens in our life, will we be family? What happens if we stop being friends and only be connected by blood? Siblings throughout history have started to hate each other and become strangers, sometimes enemies. I don’t want that for us.
I want to stay with Negi no matter the conditions. Everyone in the world could disappear but I can always look up to Negi and ask for help. Luckily, Negi have been beside me every step, showing me love, comfort, and gently pushed me to become who I want to be. And, I will make sure he will stay there! So if I can show him a little love, then darn it! I will! I don’t want him to feel like everything is completely one sided and when the tide comes he’ll be standing alone!”
She suddenly turned towards him and pulled a fist full of his hair. She stopped pulling when their faces were only an inch apart. “If you ever feel like that, I will abandon everything to make you see; I’m here. Do you understand?” She growled lowly so only Negi could hear her.
Negi smirked before grabbing a fist of her hair and yanked hard. In her surprise he let go of Negi. He gave her a cold look and said. “Do you have somewhere to go? If I remember, you’re sick.” She noticed a flicker of love and happiness in his otherwise stone face.
She smirked. The punched him in the stomach and pulled him down. “Don’t do anything stupid.” She whispered fondly. Then she kicked his legs out and ran out the room.
“Told you we have a close relationship. Now leave me be. I want to rest.” Negi said on the floor, not bothering to move.
What do you think about their relationship? Do you think they’re too close or actually in a romantic?
