It was a doorway.
Our class had just finished doing laps around the track, outside my school. We were filing back in through the side door into the building. Instead of gym, we found ourselves inside an enormous white room.
This room had off white walls and huge white tiles. It was as big as a soundstage in hollywood, look it up, it was massive.
My class were standing staring at the milling masses of people and aliens that filled the enormous room, eyes wide.
"Dude, what the fuck?" my friend Kevin elbowed me in the side, gesturing at the milling crowds of people, ...... and things!
There were deffinitely elves, and some admiral akbars kind of, and enormous spiders, bears which stood on two legs with clothes on, and every star trek species you could possibly imagine, plus some you deffinitely didn't want to. Like this slime looking thing, covered in pustules, which pulsed, and burbled, oozing across the tiled floor.
"Have we been abducted by aliens?" squeeked Stephenie Myers.
I'd always hated her, she was a know it all, always looking down on everyone and correcting everybody.
"I don't know Stephenie, what does it look like," I said sarcastically. She looked at me, and lowered her head... score!
She looked frightened, like everyone else in my class.
I was a bit of a fatalist, and this was one of the worst case scenerious I'd ever been in, but we weren't dead yet, so..... yay?
"WTF man," Kevin poked me in the side, "not the time bro."
"Sorry," I said, shrugging.
I don't how to act differently. I am who I am, and I'm not going to change, even if hell freezes over. Considering the circumstances, hell was the least of my concerns.
"We're obviously here for a reason, and we havn't died yet, so just stay on your toes," I said.
"Right on," said kevin and we fist bumped, and nodded to each other.
"What are you doing," said Stephenie coming over, "why aren't you more freaked out by this. What is wrong with you two"
She looked around worried, as did the rest of our class.
They were all clustered together in friend groups in their gym clothes, staring around in shock. Whispering to each like they could make sense of this through normal logical reasoning.
I looked around too, taking in every detail, in case it was important later.
I am 5'5", a normal height, with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. My mom always the contast was handsome, but I put people off because of my fatalistic attitude, and my dark humor.
Keving had blond hair and blue eyes, and was sleightly taller than me, with square glasses.
He'd been my best friend since the forth grade, when my dad's job moved us to colorado, and I'd been playing around in our yard.
"That's my rock," he'd said.
"No its mine," I told him.
"Its my yard from here on," he'd said, pointing to a furrow in the grass.
"No that's my yard," I'd said stubbornly, as only children can. But, then he asked me over, and I'd promptly forgetten all about it.
He lived in my neighborhood, and we'd ride bikes, and play wierd made up games, like wall ball, or star wars. We always lost ourselves in our imaginations, travelling to different worlds, but now we were literally in another world.
It all looked quite real, even though it was exactly like something we would have come up with, for a role playing game.
"Just stay on your toes," I said, looking at kevin and he nodded, and I felt solid, like it didn't matter what happened, as long we had each other.
Just then a brilliant light, brightened the sky above us, even though we were inside a massive building.
It looked like superman, hovering above us, except more like a halogen light bulb instead of a person.
I looked more closely squinting my eyes, and yes, it was a man, floating in the air above us, in the center of this massive room, filled with people.
And he spoke...
"GREETINGS MORTALS!" he said.
It had the quality of thunder, entering your mind directly, his eyes sweeping the audience. His voice filled up the space, as if speakers were all around us, like he was right next to us, and it shook me to my core, an unexpected sadness welling up inside me, tears running down my face.
"What the fuck," I tried to mutter, but my mouth wouldn't work. There was a lump in my throat, like I was looking at God, and he was so bright a beautiful, that I couldn't help but love him, with every fiber of my being. Light blinded me, slowly clouding my thinking, creating a strong desire to bow down to this being, floating in the sky above us.
My fatalistic mind wondered, "Is this how I die, being mind wiped by a alien god?"
I tore my gaze away slowly, and looked around. Shielding my eyes from the light. My classmates looked enraptured, even kevin. Stephenie was staring at the floor, crying sobbing quietly.
I covered Kevin's eyes with my hand, and saw red eyes turn to me in anger. His fist came up, and I woke a moment later on the ground.
"What the fuck man," I muttered. He crouched down, shielding his own eyes.
"Sorry bro," he said, "It got me, I was gone man, hooked, like a drug it was, shit," he said, squinting at me, through his fingers.
"Its ok, this whole thing is fucked up," I said, squinting back.
"It's hard to hold on," Kevin said. Putting his hands over his eyes.
"I want to look, like its calling to me, what the fuck," he said shivering.

"Just don't," I said, "think back. Remember when we were kids, and I sat on Michael Boltan and he started crying. You told me that was wrong, and I felt super bad about it." I said
"Not really," said kevin, "I don't remember that at all," he smiled.
Suddenly, the light grew brighter, until everying was in contrast, like a black and white world. My brain grew fuzzy.
"Aaaaaaa," Kevin cried out and I saw his eyes open, and he looked up.
It was like my head was a magnet, being pulled upwards, my eyelids battling with me, to open.
His eyes were squares, like a square power button on a computer.
Bright squares, that you couldn't ignore. Like all the power in the universe was behind those eyes, vibrating. They drew me in, and love was all that was left of me.
And then he spoke.....
"I AM ORDER.............. JOIN ME!"
and it was an offer I couldn't refuse, didn't want to refuse.
Yes...
YES! I'll join you.
I'll do whatever you want, I was hooked.
It was just like Kevin said, he was like a drug, and I wanted to obey.
His eyes had unexpected depth, and I felt like I was falling into them, as he looked at me in one moment.
His eyes sucked me in, into a chamber inside my mind. a prison with four blinding walls.
A cube
The wall in front of me dimmed, showing text.

"FAQ," I said, but when the FAQ popped up, I heard this far away scream.
"Aaaaaaaa," it sounded aweful, but like it was way far away, so I couldn't quite make it out.
I listened more closely, I felt myself being pulled back into my body.
"AaaaAAAAA," it was right next to me now. A horrible, raucous cry ripped into my ears like a chainsaw.
I opened my eyes, and Kevin was on fire.
Brilliant white flames, were burning his body alive.
His skin slughed off, and burnt away as ash.
His horrible scream, tore through me like a knife.
It suddenly stopped, and he fell over onto the ground, collapsing into a pile of white ash.
"CLEANSE CHAOS!" said ORDER, his light flashed and everyone shouted as one, "CHAOS IS CLEANSED!" and everything was right with the world. I looked at Kevin's ashes and I spit upon them. "Chaos must be cleansed," I thought. Even though my best friend was gone, I had a new purpose, and new light inside my mind.
ORDER's light flashed, and he was gone, and an enormous sadness welled up inside me.
"No, no, chaos must be cleansed," I said.
I looked at the pile of ashes, and a single tear rolled down my cheek, falling on where I spit. I stumbled back, shaking.
There was something wrong, but I couldn't place it, as if the light was coming from the wrong direction.
I felt empty inside, as if I'd lost something, but as hard as I tried, I couldn't remember what it was.
I went back to my status, it was easy, with just a thought now I entered inside that cube of light.

"Oh fuck Kevin," I stammered, tears began to run down my face.
"Oh fuck this shit," I said, "fuck this."
Stephanie turned to me, a perfect smile on her face.
"Are you okey Josh," she said sweetly.
"Oh fuck," I said, looking at her blank eyes, and perfect white teeth.
"Oh I am so fucked," I muttered.
"But, that guy didn't look like a god, he looked like a man," I thought.
"So maybe.... maybe........ I can kill that fucker," I grinned quietly to myself.
Goodbye Kevin, my friend. You will be avenged.
"I'm gonna KILL ORDER," I screamed.
Immediately, thousands of eyes were upon me, the whole wharehouse was looking at me.
"Wait..... no I was," I stammered, "a joke, it was just a joke."
"CHAOS MUST BE CLEANSED," shouted the entire warehouse.
"Shit,"
And that's where I died.
