Chapter 3 - Mission System

A figure dashed through the dark tunnel at a rapid pace. It was a youth around 12-13 years old and he had a huge creepy smile on his face as he looked at the hideous lizard before him,that was clinging on its life barely,and chuckled in a weird manner.If anyone was here to witness this scene, they would believe that the youth was a lunatic and should be sent immediately straight to a mental asylum.

The youth was precisely Flint and the lizard in front of him was the beast that chased and nearly ended his life.

Flint arrogantly tutted and murmured “I’m getting a sense of Deja vu, except this time I’m the predator!”

Ever since Flint has eaten the Yami Yami no Mi,his vision and senses in the dark improved dramatically.Looking carefully, he was shock that it was actually a Bronze Crocodile Lord that was at the early Foundation Stage but since it was injured severely, Its combat prowess was at around 8th level of Qi Condensation. Flint himself, although he was from the Stewart Clan ,which was one of the eight guardian powers belonging to the Peace Union, he possessed below average cultivation talent.Furthermore, before he ran away, Flint was at the peak of 7th level but after consuming the three one year cultivation pills,his cultivation base leapt up to peak of 8th realm.

Without giving the Crocodile a chance to fight back, Flint ended its suffering by striking the pitiful Crocodile’s heart and ending its life with one strike

“Shigan!”

Flint dashed like a bullet and vicious stabbed the crocodile with his finger.

Failure to complete all three missions in 2 years will result in death.

A chill ran down Flint’s spine as he blinked and looked at the failure tab.

“This System is f**king sadistic!”exclaimed Flint with a rain of curses “Damn it! 1000 beasts? It took me ages to find at least one beast and I barely managed to beat it even though it was injured!”

“... Although, I can now see better in the dark compared to before.” though Flint, but after a struck of realisation, he slapped his face “Yes! Surely the Yami Yami No Mi has more powers than night vision… Right?”

When you ate the Yami Yami No Mi, your body became darkness itself and because of it, you can control and wield the power of the dark. Under certain circumstances, your body can become intangible however, if your opponent’s cultivation base is significantly higher than yours, the intangibility will have no effect. Discover existing movesor create your own. You can level up the move with points and become more proficient in it.

Flint was astonished, he didn’t realise that the Yami Yami fruit was so fierce! After calming down, Flint opened the shop. A tab popped up and he selected the miscellaneous tab. The shop has 3 sections which was precisely Skills, Weapons and Miscellaneous.

“Now let’s see… What is available...” though Flint as he squinted and focused carefully on every item to see if there was anything useful.

“...” A blank silence entered as well as Flint’s eyes popping wide open

Common Beast Lure- a bait that lures beasts under foundation establishment stage. The powerful aroma will hypnotise any creature to follow the scent except those above Qi Condensation(Costs 250 points each )
