Kazuki was a young man living in a small town who had always been passionate about video games. Despite his love for gaming, Kazuki struggled in school and often felt like an outsider. Determined to pursue his passion, Kazuki applied to a game design program at a local college. However, the same night he recieve a e-mail approving his admission, he also received a mysterious package containing the alpha build of a new virtual reality game that he had never heard of before. Intrigued, Kazuki decided to give the game a try and entered the character creation process, choosing to play as a demi-human with fox ears and a tail, and also selecting the option to play as female.  After finishing character creation, Kazuki was transported into the game world and found himself in a fantastical and immersive new world. As he explored his new surroundings, Kazuki quickly realized that he was no longer just playing a game - he was actually living in this new world as his demi-human character. Kazuki's status screen showed that the beta test will end in seven months, and that he is the only player online. As Kazuki navigates his new life in this world, learning about the different cultures and societies that exist within it, he knows he must grow in strength in order to be prepared for whatever the end of the beta test may bring.
