“Blake! Wake up! you’ll be late for school!”
Black hair tied in a knot, a strict demeanor. That’s my mom. She’s a bit of a pain but always there when I need her. Back when I needed her that is.
*Groan* “five more minutes!”
Well then, I guess it’s time to wake up. I put on my white jeans with my black blouse and after refreshing myself, head downsatairs. Our house isn’t really that big with two small bedrooms for me and my sis’, a big bedroom for my parents, a kitchen, a livingroom, a toilet and shower which are kept seperated. The bedrooms and shower are on the second floor while the rest is on the first.
“Geez Blake your sister has already left, come your breakfast is cold.”
My sister keeps her hair loose and is a honours student at the local highschool where we both go to. My father keeps his hair short and works as the accountant of a small business.
I hurriedly eat my breakfast after I notice that it’s quarter past eight. I’m supposed to be at school by half past nine.
“Blake you should probably run or you won’t make it. The bus has already left.”
“Shit!” I hurriedly run outside without finishing my meal after sloppily wearing my jacket and schoolbag.
“Have a nice day at school sweetie!”
I continue running to school without watching where I’m going.
It’s a wonder I didn’t get into any accidents.
I barely just made it to school after running fourteen minutes straight. I get into the class while gasping for air and then I hear the schoolbell.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
NAILED IT! I said in my mind while doing an imaginary guts pose.
“Blake, you know what just sit down already”
“Yes sir.”
Our teacher is a nearly bald man in his fourtees which looks more like someone in their fiftees. He’s probably a bit tired of worrying abouut everytime single time. Yeeaaaaah, I run to school while barely making it a LOT!
I walk to my seat which is in the front right corner. I chose this one because it’s closest to the door.
After the lesson ended I walked with my friends to the cafeteria and we got something to eat. When I was about to pay I had a hard time finding my wallet but it seems my mother placed it in my bag before I left. She put a family picture in it. Like, I appreciate the sentiment but it’s a bit embarrassing. We walked to our usual table.
“Hey Blake, Why are you always so bad with mornings?”
“Yeah dude, we also like to wake up later but if you keep doing this you will screw yourself over one day, or like how Moses used to say, don’t ever play yourself.”
“That’s DJ Khaled.”
“Same thing.”
They have average hair, some combed some not. They’re as lively as always, but that liveliness at least keeps it a bit entertaining here.
After school ended it is club period. I’m in the reading club with a couple of other people. While there are girls I’m not really interested, they all look kind of boring with the same cliché hair. I like reading, while mostly reading fiction I’ve been leaning towards non-fiction as well.
Once club period ended I headed back home after taking a short nap in the clubroom. Like always I walk home while listening to some music. And just when I was about halfway there, a pentagram that gave off light and had a bunch of circles in it with tons of strange characters appeared. Everything became white and then black. Suddenly my whole body felt like it was being torn apart. I felt as if I was in a roller coaster but the G-forces were fifty times stronger.
*Vomit noises*
Well there goes my breakfast and lunch.
Or not. O God why. The vomit didn’t fall down as I wish it would’ve. But that at least proves that I’m not tripping balls.
Finally unable to keep up with it anymore I fainted. And woke up again.
I was already in another place. It’s a dark spacious room. The pentagram was starting to dim, partially because the vomit finally started to understand the laws of gravity.
“Greetings hero! Please save our country from the demon king and his troops.”
And there stood a woman with fiery red hair in a white thin clothing with a small crown on her head.
Looks like things are gonna get interesting for a change.
