Chapter 1

News Chanel 9

"Right now, we are standing in front of a store that will be selling the new game Once Again Online." A man wearing a black suit with an all to bright smile said. "This game has been in the development for over 20 years! Can you believe that? The store will open in 3 hours, but people have been out here for over a day hoping to get there hand on one of the copies of the game." The camera zooms out to a line of people stretching on for blocks. People are sitting in chairs, and some are in tents, all of them insight look haggard. "Let's just hope that people get what they wanted from this game. I will personally be getting one of the copies to play this game. I will see you in-game."

One day later...

Andrew T. Oie was a man with hair as black as night and eyes as brown as oak wood. He was 5.11 feet tall with yellowish-browns skin. Andy worked a job that put him in the middle of the middle class. With the money he earned, he owned a small apartment with three rooms in the middle of Chicago. He owned a good VR pod that served him as his way of having fun. He and many others in his office took the month off to buy and play Once Again Online. The game was said to have a time compression of one day to four. That ment if Andy played almost without stopping, he would get four months in-game break from work. That sounded a-m-a-z-i-n-g to him. So as soon as he got home with the game, he opened it up and put it into the pod. This would take some time to install.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Wall the game was installing Andy decided to surf the web and find out what he could on the game. He soon found out that there were five races you could play in Once Again Online. The five races were commonplace in many MMO RPGs, humans, orcs, elves, dwarfs, and animal people(beast kin). With the five races came sub-races. For example, one for humans might be a half-elf, for the beast kin a wolfman, etc. There was a lot of sub-race you could choose from. Andy also learned that each start is like a tutorial, and at the end of each would be a class that you would get. If you did not like the class you got, you could always reroll for a new class with the same tier. By the time He was done searching the web, Once Again Online was ready to be started.

Walking over to the pod, Andy looked at it. It was a light grey with a glass cover. He could see right to the soft-looking sheet that covered they'd he would be laying on. Opening the pod, Andy got in and laid down. The pod door closed on its own, and when the door was fully closed, Andy heard a voice. Soft and feminine, it said, "Are you ready to start?" Taking a deep breath, Andy said, "Yes."  With that, his mind was inserted into the game.
