Omnipotent's Ascension
Shopping and Training

Shopping and Training

It was Tuesday afternoon. Most professors had finished with their lectures and allowed their students to leave. Class 1-D was no exception.

As soon as lectures were over, Lenin, Brian and Aina moved towards the shopping district. Due to the materials gained from the life sucking ant, they had obtained a huge amount of universal points.

These points were split amongst themselves. Technically speaking, even though they each obtained a large amount, cultivators could never have enough resources.

This was barely enough for them. They arrived at the shopping district. Various shops of all kinds were lined up before them.

Shops for armor, weapons, clothes and materials could be seen everywhere.

"Okay we are here now." Brian said excitedly.

"Let's just get this over with" Lenin added.

"We'll split up, since we aren't really getting the same stuff. We'll meet back here in an hour"

Lenin and Brian nodded in agreement.

.......

Lenin walked around scanning the various shops. He didn't really know what to buy.

He had initially intended to use all his points to obtain skills at the merit hall. The merit hall was the area where the students of the Immortal Institute could exchange points for weapons, artifacts or skills of any grade.

When Lenin decided to check out the skills, the points needed were outrageous. It had made it impossible for him to gain a skill.

Lenin was indeed powerful, but if he didn't have a skill to channel his power, it was useless. He couldn't also just swap between practices infront of that huge of a crowd. It would cause an outrage.

Even if he could, he wouldn't last long because of the amount of stamina the other practices drained. He needed a skill.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

'Hmmm... I should be able to dominate the first years with just my power alone. But the problem is the first year King. I don't know how powerful he is. I need a skill just as a precaution'

Lenin inspected the stores for a few more minutes before he found a store that sold skills.

He opened the door and entered. The place was grandeur. It wasn't very huge, but it was beautiful. Gold lined the white walls beautifully. The skills were divided into sections based on their grade. They were placed on the shelves neatly.

Lenin immediately went to the shelf of the uncommon grade skills. He almost fainted when he saw the prices.

'Tch. What are these prices? Its almost as expensive as the ones in school. Well, its to be expected'

Lenin decided to check the common grade skills since he couldn't afford an uncommon grade skill. After skimming through the common grade shelf, he was highly disappointed. He couldn't afford anything!

It wasn't surprising though. In a battle between superpowered beings, those with skills always dominated.

Lenin walked to the counter.

"Errm Miss, is there any skills that are cheaper?"

The receptionist glanced in Lenin's direction. She scanned him carefully before opening her mouth.

"Everyone knows the lowest grade of skills is a common ranked skill"

"So there's no way I can get some for a little lower"

"It's impossible. The only cheap skills are the ones at the very back of the store. But those ones are-"

"It doesn't matter. Please direct me" Lenin said with excitement.

The lady sighed and face palmed.

"Fine."

Lenin eagerly went to where he was directed to. He arrived at a secluded section of the shop. There was also a shelf placed there. Various books covered in dust lay on it.

Lenin arrived at the shelf and glanced through the books. He found books like Universe crushing dragon, shadow sword, aura concealment and other books. All these books were at least uncommon ranked books.

'Damn it. I now understand why they are so cheap. They are all incomplete. Even a genius wouldn't be able to practice these.' Lenin said with a sigh.

He continued to glance through and as he did, his hope also dwindled. Lenin took the last book on the shelf with low expectations.

It was named 'Divinely forged Muscles'. It was a skill that utilized the qi of the body to increase the mass of the muscles. With each muscle's increase, came a set of attack and movement skill. This skill was a treasure.

It was a rare grade skill! Not only that, it was complete. But why was it here if it was complete? Lenin could not understand why anyone would leave a treasure like this. But then he read the last line.

"This skill can only be practiced by people who have a potent energy force from at least the sixth realm"

Lenin read this out loud.

He finally understood why no one had jumped to take up this extremely cheap skill. He could understand them. But this was also good for him. There was no energy out there, apart from demonic energy, that was as potent as god force.

He smiled to himself as he held the skill book in his hands. He approached the receptionist and handed her the book.

"You want this?" She asked with a concerned look on her face. She felt as if she were taking advantage of an ignorant boy.

"Yes. Please"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!"

She nodded and then named the price. Lenin paid and went out.

'Okay! I now have a skill. A rare ranked skill at that! But all my universal points are finished. I was supposed to buy new clothes. Well whatever, I'll buy anything my points can afford.'

Lenin made his way to the boutique and bought the cheapest clothes he could find.

....

An hour passed by quickly. Brian and Lenin stood at the meet up spot. It seemed like Aina wasn't back yet.

"Is that really what you are going to wear Lenin?"

"For the tenth time, yes Brian"

"Oh look. Its Aina"

Brian pointed an approaching figure.

"Okay. Let's go home guys"

She said.

......

The sun shined as bird chirped. The sunlight penetrated through Lenin's room. Lenin opened his eyes, stretched and sat up right.

It was time to train!

The ranking event was in three days. Therefore, Lenin needed three days to reach the first layer of Divinely Forged Muscles.

He had asked permission from Master Vacto to be away from class for a while. He needed to succeed!
