The revelation about the Ancient Alliance left Lyra and Kane stunned. It never crossed their minds that such a group could exist. According to reports, over the past century, this organization, known as the Ancient Alliance, had gradually introduced its members to the people of Farmir Village. Its long existence, predating even the birth of the new generation of Omega Guardians, hinted at deep roots and well-kept secrets.
The first clue to their existence appeared in a small tavern. A mysterious half-drunk man babbled incoherently, revealing little information about this secret organization. Although it seemed like gibberish, there were enough details in his words to catch Kane's attention. Without hesitation, he decided to investigate further, despite having no concrete plans.
Raksha, their loyal ally, made a suggestion. “Go with Saira,” she said in the blue room near King Inferno's throne. “She is a powerful mage and a mentor who has trained you. She will make a good ally.”
Kane agreed with a small nod. Not far from where he stood, Saira stepped forward with a calm smile. Her reassuring gaze gave Kane a sense of relief, easing the burden of the journey ahead. They quickly received additional instructions from the Inferno King, who mentioned that the Ancient Alliance's hidden headquarters might be in the Zar Desert, possibly in the form of old ruins.
Their journey brought them to the vast Zar Desert. The endless stretch of sand, dotted with towering sand dunes, exuded an aura of isolation and danger. The scorching sun made the air shimmer, and the wind carried sharp grains of sand, adding to the challenge of their journey.
Saira led the way with her fairy wand, emitting a faint glow as it traced a faint trail of Crystalon energy around her. The trail they followed was strange-unstable and occasionally disappearing as if it was designed to mislead them. Kane, with his keen eyes, remained vigilant, constantly scanning the surroundings for hidden threats.
Finally, they arrived at a small building, almost hidden behind a huge sand dune. The building looked dilapidated, with cracked walls covered in dust, yet it exuded an aura of something deeper. The air around them suddenly changed-the air was heavy and cold-making Kane feel as if something was watching them.
Upon entering the main room of the building, they were greeted by symbols in the form of images of building fragments carved into the floor. The symbols formed a large circle that glowed faintly under the dim light. Kane knelt down to examine the markings, realizing that they were no ordinary carvings. The energy emanating from the carvings felt alive, like a trap waiting to be released.
Carefully, Saira touched one of the symbols with her staff. Instantly, the circle lit up brightly, accompanied by a rumbling sound from the surrounding walls. A hidden door slowly opened, revealing a stone staircase descending into the darkness. Without hesitation, they stepped inside, prepared for whatever awaited them below.
The staircase led to a spacious basement. The walls were decorated with ancient paintings and carvings, while the room itself was filled with strange objects: hooded statues, tables stacked with old books, and a large altar in the center. However, their attention was immediately drawn to a hooded figure standing near the altar. Her face was covered by a mask, and the aura she exuded was so strong, that the room felt claustrophobic.
Without much ado, the figure raised his hand. A vortex of dark energy formed around him, shooting towards them at high speed. Kane moved quickly, deflecting the attack with his sword, which glowed with Crystalon energy. A loud crash echoed throughout the room, sending dust flying. Saira, on the other hand, began tracing magical patterns in the air, directing bursts of fire energy directly at her opponent.

The battle began with ferocious intensity. The figure moved with incredible speed, dodging Saira's attacks as well as retaliating with a barrage of dark energy swords. Kane leaped forward right at the figure and quickly opened his palm containing the crimson crystalon to the figure. But within seconds the figure flew past the distance between the two and parried the attack with his precise sword strike. Every collision between Kane's sacred crystal sword and the dark energy sword produced a vortex around the place that illuminated the room.
Saira did not stay still. With one stroke, she unleashed a massive attack. The Crystalon energy she controlled created a fiery, butterfly-shaped wave that shot forward, engulfing the opponent's area. But that figure only laughed hoarsely, summoning a giant shadow shield twice the size of a normal human and devouring the butterfly flames quickly. At that moment, he leapt high into the air as a flick of his finger changed the entire terrain of the area and brought forth a huge shadow vortex that descended like a storm.
Kane and Saira struggled desperately to avoid the devastating attack. Kane, with his agility, zigzagged closer to their opponents but the storm shook the platform and with a difficult range attack plan Kane ended up bouncing off. Saira retreated a few meters from the giant protector's strange storm attack. Kane rose up determined to clean things up, his body quickly passing through the platform and his sword glowing red, each swing releasing a wave of energy that slammed into the opponent's shield. Saira, from a distance, etched a magic circle on the ground, summoning the illusion of butterfly flames that contracted to the massive energy directed at the opponent's side. the butterfly illusion began to dissolve as the magic circle around Saira spread over the platform. the mysterious figure's series of attacks completely stunned Kane because the giant shield was completely recoverable as Kane flowed the sacred crystal sword under the mysterious figure's giant shield. As the butterfly illusion eradicated from the surroundings by burning the area around the figure to get out of the giant shield, Kane shouted to Sira to unleash an attack strong enough to combine with himself and not give the mysterious figure time to recover the surrounding area as well as his extremely troublesome giant shield.
Saira nodded at that, within 5 seconds her fairy wand sprayed out a small fire seed and Saira opened her palm and revealed a mini cube and quickly inserted the small fire seed inside the cube. Kane made a quick decision as Saira placed the seed inside the cube. He pointed his holy crystal sword at the sky “Purification of Life Fire”.
Kane's howl echoed throughout the platform as his sword glowed a very bright red at the same time the accumulated energy reached its limit and he released a fist of energy through his sword at the mysterious figure with lightning speed. Sira wrapped the fire seed in the cube combining it with the mysterious figure's giant shield. “Now Kane, Release your Energy Shock” Saira shouted to Kane as the cube slowly merged with the giant shield. Kane wasted no time attacking quickly around the mysterious figure, the swing of the sacred crystal sword shook as the energy pattern took the form of a dark red slash like lightning that struck the giant shield area's platfom. When their combined attacks finally connected, the figure's shield began to crack. Rumbling sounds filled the room as shards of dark energy scattered into the air. The figure was pushed back but quickly launched a counterattack. He summoned shadow spikes from the ground, aiming to pierce and destroy them. Saira let out a small cry as one spike almost hit her shoulder but the mini-fomation protected her as she quickly retaliated with a burst of fire through her fairy wand, turning the spike to ash.
Kane finally saw an opening. With a determined shout, he lunged forward, channeling all of his Crystalon energy into his sword. He struck the figure with overwhelming force, shattering its shield completely. The figure was thrown back, falling to the ground with a loud thud.
Saira followed up with another attack, releasing a wave of energy that slammed into the body of their enemy. The room shook violently, and the altar in the center almost collapsed. However, before they could approach the figure, she raised her trembling hand, creating a dark portal that spun rapidly.
“You won this time,” she said weakly but with a threatening tone.
With that, he disappeared into the portal, leaving Kane and Saira in the ruined room. Their breath was ragged, their bodies battered and exhausted. The relief was short-lived. Kane's eyes fell on the altar, where a symbol emitting strange energy began to glow. The threat of the Ancient Alliance seemed far greater than they had ever imagined.
