AGENTS: Liberty Squad
MISSION: CLASSIFIED
LOCATION: Syracuse
DATE: CLASSIFIED
'I swear to God, Memphis, if you don't turn that crap off I'm ejecting you out the airlock!'
Memphis rolled his eyes and turned his music off. 'Not my fault you come from an unenlightened era of music, Chicago.'
Chicago sneered from her side of the drop-ship then pulled her wide-brimmed hat over her eyes and closed her eyes. Memphis loved messing with the wannabe cowgirl. There was few things in this world that gave him such pleasures. Not since being forcibly resurrected and recruited into the Agency.
'Lock it down, both of you!' came an authoritative voice from the cockpit. 'We'll be landing in ten. Sync.'
'Sync' said the members of Liberty squad. Memphis looked down at his rifle and ensured it was loaded and clean, not wanting a repeat incident of the last mission. Clip was full, firing pin worked, no issues he could see.
Memphis lowered his visor to double-check the vitals of the squad. He saw his name and a steady heartbeat, then checked on the others. Chicago's appeared to be slightly elevated, though that was likely due to her current mood. Vegas, Anchorage, Honolulu, Hollywood, Salem and Manhattan, all coming through nicely. No issues with any of his equipment.
'Alright,' Vegas said, leaving the cockpit. 'Honolulu is getting us to the landing zone. We'll be entering the facility, then splitting off into four teams of two. Manhattan, you're with me.'
Manhattan, a man with shaved back hair and a goatee ringing his mouth and chin nodded. Manhattan wasn't a fighter, much the same as Memphis, but his skill-set was more scientific in nature.
'Hollywood and Salem,' Vegas continued.
Hollywood was the only agent to not wear armour, relying on his magic to protect him. Sandy blonde hair and a jovial attitude made him the heart of the team. Well, one of them.
Salem, on the other hand, was a dark warrior goddess with snow white hair and a cold attitude. She simply nodded when told her partner.
'Memphis and Chicago,' Vegas said with a smirk.
Memphis groaned. This was likely punishment for riling Chicago up. Hopefully, she didn't get him killed.
'Which leaves Anchorage and Honolulu,' Vegas said, finishing up.
Anchorage nodded from the back of the drop-ship. The only agent to almost always cover his face, a firm believer that with this new life he was someone different now. He nodded.

'Alright, Liberty Squad. You know the mission. Recover the principle and eliminate threats.'
36 Minutes Later
Memphis and Chicago had been on their own for a while, searching the dark and deserted Alliance base. Memphis held his rifle steady, for for any attacker that came his way.
'Stop,' Chicago said into her microphone, holding her hand up. Memphis crouched down in the shadows. 'I see something. Unknown contacts.'
Memphis snuck closer to the door and peered through. Inside, he saw biological monsters of flesh, bone and acid. They had no files on these creatures, but they didn't exactly scream "peaceful".
'You're call, Chicago?' Memphis said. In combat scenarios, always go with the ideas of the seasoned fighter. It hadn't failed Memphis yet.
Chicago nodded ,standing and aiming her gun inside. Memphis took aim at a second target and both agents fired. The bullets hit the two creatures in the heads, and acid sprayed the walls and floor, sizzling through the metal.
'Acid blood?' Memphis said, walking over carefully. As he approached however, a third monster from the shadows leaped onto his back and punctured his suit with a blade of serrated bone. Chicago fired three shots, a hat trick into the monster's back and head, and it slumped off, but Memphis fell forward, his vitals rapidly decreasing.
'This is Agent Chicago, man down, man down. Unknown hostiles. They have acid blood.'
Chicago wasted no time, stripping the acid-splattered armour off of Memphis and tossing it aside. She pulled a canister of bio-foam from her belt and jammed it into Memphis's wound, sealing it shut and saving his life.
'You still with me?' Chicago said, standing up and aiming with her two handguns ready.
Memphis coughed and pushed himself to his feet, though he was in a great amount of pain. He needed a medic. Immediately.
'I can't fight...' he said pathetically. Chicago nodded, understanding. Before they could do anything, however, the vitals for Agent Honolulu went red, followed by Agent Vegas and Agent Anchorage.
'Oh shit,' Memphis said, eyes wide. 'Check, c-can anyone hear me?'
There was no response except the flat-lining of both Agent Salem and Hollywood.
'We need to leave,' Chicago said, holstering one of her handguns and using her now free hand to grab Memphis and walk him out the door.
'What about Manhattan? His vitals are still green.' Memphis said, though he really didn't want to go searching for him.
'You want to save them, at least one of us needs to get out alive. You heard what the President told us.'
'But-' Memphis was cut off by an explosion further up ahead and a god awful shriek of what could be hundreds of those creatures.
'No buts, move now!'
Chicago and Memphis hobbled as fast as they could, Memphis biting his tongue and cheek to blaze through the searing pain. As they reached the hangar, Chicago let go and turned around, pulling her guns loose.
'Get it started, I'll hold them off!'
Memphis limped into the drop-ship and sat down in the cockpit's pilot chair. He madly typed away at the different buttons until he heard the engines turn on. The A.I they had been assigned flashed onto the console.
'5 agents are down. Alert.' it said in a monotone voice.
'I know, we need to leave. Mission failure.' Memphis yelled as he heard gunfire.
'Understood. Extraction protocol engaged. Mission failed.'
Memphis looked out of the drop-ship and saw Chicago backing off slowly to the ship. She'd never make it alone... and Memphis was already here.
Only one of us needs to survive to save the others.
'Sorry, Chicago,' Memphis said, slamming the lock button. The ship's access ramp closed and began to take off. Chicago screamed something at the ship, but it fell on deaf ears. She was being left behind.
'Alert The Everbound, one agent returning... with one hell of a report...'
