Report 1
This is PI Sturb. I've been hired by the McClarine estate to track down the missing nephew of Lord McClarine, Augustus McClarine.
The family has informed me that Augustus was an unattached eccentric, no job, no spouse, nor did he attend any social clubs. He became more and more reclusive in recent months. They also said Augustus had a fascination with the occult to the point of sending large sums of money for relics.
They told me his disappearance was discovered last week when servants found his manor abandoned, he so far has neither returned nor been seen since.
My intail theory if his disappearance is he may have been tricked or led on by a party wishing to profit off of him, given his history of poor financial chooses.
So far the family haven't gone to the authorities regarding the disappearance of Augustus in order not to create a scandal.

I was given the key to the manor so I checked it out, in case there had been signs of foul play missed or for a lead.
The manor itself was large and empty, most seemed unused. The hallways were unlight making them seem like an abyss . The tables, chairs and all other furniture were coated in dust.

There were only three members of staff: a maid, butler and chef. They mostly told me what the family already told me. Though the butler informed me that Augustus would occasionally have guests round. All of these guests were into the occult, and would perform ‘rituals’ behind closed doors. This is the only socializing he would do.
I went on to inspect Augustus’ personal quarters. While the bedroom held no leads, surprisingly unused for someone who rarely left the house. The study on the other hand said a lot.
The study was dirty like the rest of the house, but it possessed the uncleanliness gained from frequent use rather than abandonment. Books litter the floor. Bookshelves held volumes crammed into them at every angle and from what I could see of stray volumes, they were dogeared and stuffed with notes. The subjects of books were all of the occult interest: ancient religions, mythology, paganism, rites and alchemy. Though for every ten more respectable articles for hobbyists there was a book on something darker or in a language unfamiliar to me. It seems that the family have heavily understated Augustus’ interest in the occult.
Wading through the clutter I reached his desk. A microcosm of the entire study, littered in books, pages, strange devices and an armada of cups and glasses. Laid out centrally on the desk was another book, it had a battered look to it. Some sheets were stuffed in one of the pages.
I opened the book to that page. The page was a map of somewhere in a desert. There was a small town in the corner, there was a random canyon circled and a route planned out from the town to the circle on the map. Attached to the map by the means of a paperclip was a receipt for ten train tickets purchased two days before Augustus’ disappearance.
I pocketed the map and receipt as evidence. I’ll have to check the station for confirmation but I’m pretty sure Augustus has traveled to this town.
Report 3
I went to Apollo station and checked with the foreman. Augustus was seen here five days ago travelling with nine other men wearing dark robes. Apparently it nearly gave the security guards a heart attack.
I check the rail map and it has one stop in the desert in a small town of Dusthallow same one as on the map. I’m currently on the train travelling there.
