Hi everyone.
Oh, Great! I was Reincarnated as a Farmer just hit the 2400 ratings in the Amazon USA store over the weekend and I wanted to say thank you to everyone here for support my novel. I've been working on becoming a professional writer since the beginning of 2015, trying to develop the skills I needed to be a professional writer. I've literally put my life on hold to follow my dream knowing how rare it is for people to be successful at this career. The plan was always to go the traditional publishing route, but covid changed that.
I've bought and read upwards of 100 books on writing. Spent tens of thousands on writing courses and lived like a poor bum for the past five years, off my previous beekeeping business, so I could become good enough to be a professional writer. I sold up that business at the end of 2019 leaving me with 18 months of my savings to etch out enough time to practice my craft and make my dream possible.
I've spent 60 hours a week for five and half years devoting myself to writing. This was not my first book. It was not my second book. It was my 13th book. I've only written one other book that I felt comfortable charging people for and that one currently isn't finished. I've always held myself to a high standard and will continue to do so. But I want to say thank you. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your kind words. Thank you for the kicks in the butt asking me where the next book is.
I put everything I had into making this happen. My money ran out 3 weeks before this book went on sale. If this book hadn't been the success it is I knew I would have to go get a job and wait another 5 years working on my writing in my spare time. It would have been another 5 years of not being able to do the thing I love every day. But that did not happen.
In four months, my life has completely changed and I no longer have to worry about whether or not this will ever work. So once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
