1.04 In a Dwarven Bar No Less

“Great, on the move,“ Seamus grumbled, draining the last of his ale in one frustrated gulp. “Sorry Aeron, she left quicker than I expected.” He reached into his jacked for his wallet. Only… it wasn’t there.

Aeron raised an eyebrow as Seamus patted down his pockets, his face red with frustration. “What, did you forget your wallet at home?”

“It was here when I entered,” Seamus grumbled. “Dammit, I don’t have time for this.” He glanced at the door.

Aeron’s eyes gleamed with amusement. “Looks like you have been pickpocketed, and in a dwarven bar no less! Oh, that is just too perfect.”

“I’m not laughing,” Seamus snapped, eyes sweeping the bar until they fell on the drunken dwarf from earlier. The same one who had crashed into their table. Except now, the dwarf looked far too sober for a man who had stumbled just minutes ago.

Aeron gleefully chuckled. “I’ll pay for this soirée. But remind me never to let you forget this.” He tossed a few coins on the table and waved his hand. “Now go before you lose your quarry too”.

Seamus quickly weaved through the crowded bar towards the back door, cursing the dwarf named Kegger in his mind. There’d be time for revenge later. As he pushed through the door, his thoughts were focused ahead. He’d lost precious time, and the elf had a head start. He’d need more than luck to catch her now.
