I see my family, my fluffy family, my injured mother, and my sisters. You see we aren't humans but instead, we are wolves. We aren't normal wolves however, we are monsters, in particular, frost wolves we live in a cave in the mountains.

We were attacked by humans and father and my brothers died and mother was mildly injured. Luckily we do not need to worry about food for now because whenever we have a good hunt we would freeze all the excess sadly I can't use magic yet due to my magic circuits still being underdeveloped. According to mom, they would normally be finished but in the case of unique individuals, it takes longer.

Something warm is suddenly going through my body and I start glowing.

Mother: "It is happening your magic circuit is finished growing!"

Me: "What do you mean? Somehow power is flowing through me!"

I stop glowing and I grew a couple of inches my muscle mass increased by a stretch.

Mother: "Oh! you ranked up!"

Sister: "Rank up? not evolve?"

Mother: "Yes, ranking up is different from evolving. Ranking up only increases base capability but you are still the same race while evolving completely changes your race and basic structure. If you are a magic fox who has one tail ranking up will make you bigger and have more magic, but you will still be a one-tailed fox. But if you take said fox and have it evolve it will become a two tail fox or if it is really talented a three tail fox."

Sister: "Which is better?"

Mother: "It depends. If you only have to do one I would choose evolution because it also increases your life span, but If you can I would choose ranking up before you evolve. It has a simple reason why though if you are strong before you evolve you will be even stronger after you evolve. that is why if I was in perfect condition I would do training for when I evolve. I'm pretty young you know and I'm almost at my rank up. I have reached my evolution conditions but I decided to put it off for now."

You can understand mother is abnormal, most monsters will just evolve as soon as possible because the danger of waiting is higher most of the time. No, even now it was really dangerous she was wounded and father died. She still seems confident too, well this is normal in monsters society.

Me: "Mom, guess what!"

Mother: "What?"

She genuinely seemed curious about what I was doing as I approached her.

Me: "Watch this!"

I put my head against hers and use a water elemental spell {Water healing} on her wounds sing most of my mental power

Mother: "Huh? Wha-!"

Me: "Sleepy."

I bury my face in mothers fur and fall asleep.

Me: "Where is this? Who are you?"

A human who smells like me is in front of me in this weird white space. He has long black hair, a human face a silver and gold robe. Is that what keeps him warm? That is not the only thing that is weird this space feels calming, like Moms fur.

???: "I am you before you were you, but I am only the remaining ash. I am the wrath left from a life of misfortune, but my job is not to force you into anything. I won't need to even try to convince you because your life is not mine.

...but I believe that you will come to the same conclusion and take actions on your own without my interference.

After him saying this a huge amount of energy flows through me, my senses become sharper, my muscles instead of gaining size it stays the same and become more refined, my skin and hair becomes more resistant. After feeling like I'm rebuilt it all goes dark.
