Alexander therefore went to the guild of alchemists, although the establishment was located in a secondary city (ugul) the architecture and the level in general was better than Agartha
Mathieu was part of their team, it was he who guided Alexander , they did some scouting before he then waited for him at the entrance to the guild (he would later open a bakery and join alexander spy network in ugul )
at the entrance the receptionist was reading a book on alchemy, she ignored alexander at first, not paying attention to this level 1 mage but then once the invocation came behind her, she immediately straightened her back
the invocation had taken human form and had chosen to transform into an old man, putting himself behind Alexander, he showed everyone present that he was only a servant for this young boy
Alexander therefore walked towards the receptionist and with a dazzling smile asked her what the formalities were to become an alchemist.
after some discussions, Alexander passed the tests which constituted a test of knowledge, a test of mana control and purity (it is here that the examiner can know what is the level of the alchemist and his age because the test is carried out by other alchemists) and finally a test where the apprentice alchemist creates a potion (level 1 in this case )
Alexander asked the receptionist to call her supervisor , which she did without complaint, the manager took them to a room and once inside, Alexander showed everyone the power of a level 6 magician
his goal in coming to the guild was to make connections and what better way to build connections than to impress people
his title quickly changed from "young man with a powerful family" to "old monster who wants to look young"
Alexander was after all only 40 years old and in a world where everyone is more or less an immortal monster, 40 is very young
Alexander asked the supervisor to look for an examiner to test him until the Master Alchemists level 5 because he had worked with his master for over 500.000 years and today he would take 5 different tests ( the master part is half lie half truth )
obviously, by showing that he was a level 6 magician the examiner did not seek to know what the level of purity of his mana was, he was first tested on his knowledge and he was asked different questions, then on his control (because the level of purity was a secret which represented the strength of the magician, the higher the level the more powerful the magician was) he demonstrated a respectable mana control and finally, he concocted a basic level 1 potion, the whole ordeal lasted only 1 hour.
once the test for the rank 1 alchemist was completed, Alexander asked to pass the test for rank 2
the same thing happened and the test was finished in 3 hours
he continued and asked to pass the test for 3rd level
he had come in the morning and had plenty of time to pass 5 different tests (at the same time from level 4, no mage really needs to sleep, even at level 0, spending several nights without sleeping is not a problem)
he therefore took the 3rd test with the same examiner and under his total shock
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
after the 5th test, Alexander relaxed completely, one of the tasks was completed
the examiner introduced himself to him as Zachary, a grand master alchemists (level 6 )
Zachary was happy to talk with such talented master alchemist with such great mana control and being part of a family that had another level 5 as a bodyguard
the two talked for hours and Alexander also appreciated Zachary's modesty, Zachary was a level 6 mage but also a level 6 grand master alchemist, this alone gave him the right to be proud and arrogant, perhaps because he did not have powerful family behind him or that he traveled a lot, he was modest and was easy to talk to
Zachary had several grandchildren who he loved dearly and this was the main reason why he worked in the alchemists' guild, to provide precious potions to his grandchildren (potions that increase the strength and vitality of the magician , they worked up to level 9 and were a hot commodity everywhere in oberon )
the competition in the middle lands was fierce and it was not easy to acquire a land there, let alone acquire a business.
the magicians at the center of oberon were often at war with other worlds, causing the prices of resources to skyrocket
Zachary, unwilling to risk his life, chooses to work for the alchemist guild
after having discussed with Zachary and having set an appointment to celebrate the millionth anniversary of another magician in 3 months, Alexander went to the library of the alchemist guild to increase and improve his knowledge, his goal was to read all the books available
he was surprised by the abundance and complexity of the knowledge, different books which covered similar subjects but with a different approach, would this not be the same as in his previous world? Even if this world is less advanced than the one from which he came from, it nonetheless remains a developed world.
Alexander stayed 3 full months in the library, the oumros knowledge classification system was as follows:
there were different stars which were attributed to different works or researchers, a researcher who had a single star had to use points to consult the work of other researchers but he could only consult papers with the same number of stars ( level 1 star researcher could only look at the 1 star paper and not 2 or 5 stars ),5 stars was the maximum
for example Alexander who had just been promoted to the rank of Master Alchemist only had one star and could only consult works with a single star , he also needed points to access the information , of course there was a lot of work which was free and this is what Alexander browsed
after leaving the library, Alexander decided to concentrate his energy and improve his physical form it was the simplest form to improve ( physical, mental , soul ) because it only required money and a little training
the improvement in one's physical fitness went through 4 different stages: skin, muscle, internal organs and bones and was expressed as a percentage
the magicians of oberon already used something that resembled the internet, except that you had to have a lot of connection and element stones to make it work, you could even transfer objects across great distances but it was necessary to use a lot of elemental stones and obviously objects such as space rings could not be transferred
magicians could access this "internal network" through any branch of oumros, Alexander first read all the free material there and learned a lot from it , he then acquired different formula, one of them being the formula for level 6 vitality and strength potions and a lot of other things were available such as coordinates for others worlds , papers on other life form ecetera ...
contrary to his expectations, the potion was easy to concoct and the recipes for the potion was available , what made the potions expensive was that to concoct them, you had to use 2815 kind of ingredients, the majority were monster parts of level 6 or higher
the fact is that the majority of mages of level 6 and above were almost immortal, which meant that the demand for potions of strength and vitality did not stop but no one wanted to risk their life and searched for more than 2000 ingredients
some families specialized in strength or vitality potions but the supply never matched the demand
before embarking on crazy research, Alexander would try to specialize in the creation of potions, he needed several hundred thousand of them, more than 500,000 if everything went well (for him and his different invocations)
Alexander therefore went to his villa on the edge of Ugul, it was close to the mountains ensuring that its price was not too high and at the same time isolating it from the rest of the city
he then went to Zachary's house to attend the birthday of a level 6 magician.
