Reincarnating back to the past

BOOM!

A pillar, bright as the sun tears through the sky, driving away the sky colored orange. Flashes of white light enveloped the entire surrounding landscape. From a distance, one could see numerous tiny orbs floating all around the explosion. This was an, to a major of people, magical energy.

"This should be enough. I have already used up every single tool in my arsenal."

A male voice was heard in the center of the pillar. Starkly opposite of his black figure amidst all the white light that could blind a man miles away, let alone in the center of everything. He gets up from his sitting and takes a deep breath. And very slowly, he exhaled. Trying to control the nerves from both nervousness, excitement, and a hint of fear.

"If I die, then so be it." His eyes turned sharp at the mention of death. But only for a split second for him to regain his composure. His hood flings backward to reveal a face. A red hue of orange-colored hair. His face was quite average if that had been the case. On each side of his face is a scar that strikes both sides from his eyes down towards his cheeks. One cannot live such a long life without a permanent scar through battles and loss. If he were to traverse a town, the people would dare not look in his direction lest they would meet both his gaze and scar.

" Let's do as we planned "

Instantly, two black shadows emerged from thin air behind. Yet, the man paid them no heed. As if he was in no harm's way. Instead, he raised his arms and put both his palms together in prayer. Except, he wasn't praying. His eyes lit up into a bright golden light. His own magic was draining at an alarming rate, so quick that within a minute, all his own magical reservoir ran out, and was starting to lose his senses. It was a familiar feeling, one that he knew all too well of what would happen if one overcompensates their magical reservoir, and beyond.

All of sudden, his arms broke off like shattered glass. If people were present, many would scream and imagine all blood gushing out like a waterfall. Yet, out of the ordinary, not a single blood appeared. Instead, his arm continued to break down like fragments. The insides weren't that of blood and gore, but a void of light. This, was a physique that truly, only a small handful of people could obtain. And ever so quickly, his body started to crumble down, becoming one with the light. Until he finally was left to nothing.

At the tip of the pillar, a void began to shape itself, absorbing all the magical energy. A land that for one moment, bright is the sun, vanished into nothing. Leaving only the scars of embers on top of the barren landscape.

Everything went black.

Hmmm? He opened his eyes, slowly adjusting to the light. Finally, his vision painted him the scenery that he thought he wouldn't ever see again. It was a village. A very familiar feeling welled up inside him. He had thought that should've lost such a feeling long ago.

Joy

Along with another emotion that had accompanied him thoughout his later life.

Sorrow

He smiled.

"It's been a while right? Aggen?" A voice towards his right mind spoke. A black figure with a pale face and blonde hair emerged from thin air. This person's, or thing, is named Lennen

" Yeah " Aggen replied.

While Aggen was admiring the view, another voice popped towards his left mind.

"We can enjoy the scenery later since we have enough time for that. Now, we know what period we are in, but we don't know the exact time nor remember what we were doing. For now, let's look around." He was also another black figure with a face, similar to that of Aggen. However, his hair was white. His name is Zan.

Suddenly, a female voice shouted, "Aggen!"
