So, here we are. At the end of the first book of Isaac's adventures. Congratulations! You did it! Yay!
Now what?
By the way, as I suppose you have already deducted, this is not Isaac speaking, this is rober678 a.k.a. Roberto Gil Pita, author of the book.
First of all, I want to thank you for making it to the end and having the patience to devour even this note (I still don't exactly know what this is: an acknowledgement section? A letter of intents for the future? I suppose we’ll see…). The stories of the novels do not unfold on the pages of the books, but in the readers' heads. Thus, it has been you who, thanks to the magic of the letters, have been able to recreate Isaac's adventures in your mind, where you have given them those unique and personal details that have made Isaac, Marcel, Lance and Hara come to life. Thank you for allowing them to exist.
Isaac's adventures emerged in countless walks along the beach, fooling around with the idea of writing my own stories. Little by little the plot took shape, always alive in the depths of my subconscious, until Easter 2021, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, I sat down in front of the computer and after ten days of writing stopping only to eat and sleep, the first draft of the novel you have in your hands arrived.
The novel was originally written and published in Spanish, my mother tongue. I self-published it through amazon (you can easily find it if you are interested), and I got my family and friends to get it and read it. And that was all. In that moment, that was the end. It was until one year later of that (one month ago), that I decided that I also wanted to share it with other people that couldn't speak/read Spanish, and I decided that I would translate it by myself (I don't have fundings for anything else) and give it out for free through several platforms across the internet.
The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.
And, again, we arrive to the first question.
Now what?
I'm really not sure. Are there more Isaac stuff to continue the story? As you can imagine from the ending you just read, the answer is a loud yes. In fact, last spring I started writing a second novel, which became the second installment of the stories of Isaac. In Spanish it’s going to be titled “PNJ: El Rey Nigromante”, which roughly translates to “NPC: The Necromancer King”. It takes place ten months after the main events of the first book, and it's longer, cooler (in my humble opinion), more epic, and more all. In a couple of weeks, I expect to release it through amazon in Spanish. So, if you want to continue Isaac's adventures and you can read Spanish fluently, then that's something you can consider.
I suppose I will eventually translate this second part and continue releasing chapters in this platform for free, but I'm not sure about when or how. What I know is that at this moment it's not going to be possible, since I haven't even finished publishing it in Spanish, and I don't expect to have a lot of free time in the upcoming months to start translating the chapters (you know, petting my cats takes time). But, maybe in a couple of weeks? Or months? Or next year? Who knows. I can only promise that I will eventually try.
Again, thanks for reading and leaving your comments. And if you haven't done it yet, please consider rating it, reviewing it, and sharing it with your friends. All these things are gold to me, and really help me in my process.
I really look forward to hearing from you.
See you around!
Rober
