Chapter 1: United Breaks Guitars

Chapter 1: United Breaks Guitars

Cyberpunk 2077 was on the steam sale for 29.99

"I mean sure this is an impulse buy however it's been two years and I've heard they have actually been fixing the game since release… worse case scenario I can just return it."

Best video game purchase in recent history since battlebit. The game runs at a solid 73 fps on an aging 1660 TI graphics card 23 hours later and the first play through is done…

(Normal, Corpo level 27 Sandevistan/pistol build)

"That was probably the worst ending I could've gotten. Took the cowards way out and sided with Arasaka… well time for a new save, I wonder what mods there are, and of course I'll do all the side quests this time. This is the most fun I've had in a game since fallout 4 came out. First play through was male, second is female see what's different."

The first play through of a game like this had to be vanilla, as the developers intended. The second one always had mods and the absolute abuse of whatever glitches exist. Make our character as untouchable as possible. While running the highest difficulty possible.

"System Ex? Sure! I can keep my sandy and do a netrunner build. Lets see how much chaos I can cause if I go all out with glitches and no hold's bar."

59 hours later

(Very Hard, Street Kid, Level 50, all attributes Level 20 abusing game glitches, 1000+ skill shards through a duplication glitch. Running two cyberdecks with 12 quick hacks and a Sandevistan, We were practically a demi God.)

I fucking two shot, head shot Adam Smasher with a Specked out Comrade's Hammer doing 200,000 Crit damage.

"See you on the other side." Johnny says as V plugs in the port at Mikoshi

Mikoshi yadda yadda

Issue with DNA yadda yadda

"There might be another way…" Alt says

That was different from the videos I've seen.

"Anything! I need more than 6 months." V responds

"I could merge you with your true self and send you back." Alt says

"Yeah, sure. Whatever it takes." V responds

The windows noise is made followed by a pop up.

Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined. Would you like to send a report?

"Sure I guess, I have a flight to catch tomorrow anyways."

===================

"Good morning everyone! This is your Captain speaking, we have just landed in night city. I would like to thank everyone for flying South Delta West Space lines. We hope you enjoyed your flight, and us here at South Delta West wish to have you travel with us again."

"Uhh what?"

The next few minutes is spent staring at our own hands.

"Ballistic compression, mono wire, and smart link? My voice is different..."

A second later a wallet and iPhone 10 are pulled out of their pockets and opened as quickly as possible.

"Helen Wick?" Helen whispers aloud looking at her brand new ID yet she has her old phone. There was one minor caveat about the phone the calendar on the iPhone said it was 2075.

Everything pointed to the game Helen was playing before she fell asleep.

Apple didn't exist in the world of cyberpunk and she was getting 5g signal with all of the old applications appearing to work including YouTube.

"Okay then…" Helen mutters as her head begins to ring.

Incoming call from Max Tac

"Answer"

"Hello Miss Wick, we just received word that your rocket has landed at the spaceport and we shall be sending an AV to pick you up. We'll have a courier get your stuff as well… I just wish to say welcome to Max Tac, it will be a pleasure working with the Reaper." The call suddenly ended and a GPS appeared on a map in the top right corner of her vision.

"Well, this is a hell of a lucid dream and I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of it"
