Clark Kennet still can remember the feeling of a free fall he experienced before his death. No, he didn't kill himself or anything sad like this. Now that he thought about it, his death was even a little bit funny.
Together with his friends and one dog, Clark camped in the mountains and explored the wilderness of Colorado. To enjoy a great view, they climbed a rather steep hill. While everyone talked to each other, Clark temporarily got lost in his thoughts, considering if he should ask Jessica - his female friend he liked- to a date. It was such perfect timing! He was so deep in his mind, that when Hachiko - a cute doggy one of his friends owned - started to bark, it scared him shitless. And so he fell. And so he died in this ridiculous way...
So why does he has the liberty to reminiscent about it now? Could it be he survived the fall and actually fell in a coma? Nah, he still can remember this feeling of having his head crushed, even if it was something he experienced for just a millisecond.
I think; therefore I am, Clark thought in amusement. After all, the thinking was the only thing he could currently do - all his senses were turned off, he couldn't even feel his own body.
After an unestimated period of time, things changed, though. His body suddenly started to appear, as if being created from nothing! Before he knew, he was alive again, his body filled with vitality.
Clark opened his eyes, trying to grasp his surroundings. He stood in the middle of some strange forest. The trees around were nothing he has seen before - each of them was at least 100-meter-tall, their leaves were triangular form and mostly of blue color, their barks were either dark blue or aquamarine. Rather than a forest, it looked more like a sea.
He raised his head, looking at a starry sky. The sky itself was dark black, but stars were multicolored - some of them were bright yellow, some white, some orange, some green, some violet - there were all sorts of colors. It was completely different from Earth's night sky. Moreover, there were two bright moons! One moon was pink, and the other was cyan.
Realization dawned on Clark Kennet - he was in another world! In other words, he was Isekai'ed!
Wait a minute. I died before, so was it reincarnation or transmigration? Hm, my body seems to be the same as when I died, so maybe I was first revived and only then transmigrated here?!
His habit of being deep in thought - the one that cost him his life before, emerged again. Thankfully, before any large forest animal could notice and eat him, something else alarmed Clark.

[Welcome, Clark Kennet!]
Holographic words started to appear on his retina, as if in a video-game. Alongside it, a robotic genderless voice resounded inside his head.
What the hell is that?! Clark was surprised but calmed down quickly. He has read enough popular novels to understand what happened!
I see, now it makes sense! So I was saved from death and then Isekai'ed by a mysterious System?! Could it be, I'm a protagonist destined for greatness?!
Clark read all the messages he received from the System, from that he learned how to check his status.

After reading through his status, Clark understood one simple fact - he was transmigrated to a cultivation world!
Even though I'm currently just an ordinary person, but if this "Fate" section tells the truth, I'll become extremely strong! Pill Emperor? It sounds nice! When I've read cultivation novels, I always liked the alchemy part the most. Moreover, doesn't it mean that I could live for hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years?! Cool!

Just one glance at the choices he had was enough for Clark to chose!
The first and third choices are obviously battle oriented, but I'm not particularly eager to fight. Moreover, my destiny is to become the Pill Emperor! I guess the System just tries to test my IQ? Heh.
Just when Clark wanted to make his choice and experience the change to his Spiritual Root, a strong gust of wind shook the trees around him.
When Clark raised his head to look around, he realized that it wasn't just a wind - it was a flying person!
A young man who didn't look older than Clark glided through the air while standing on his golden sword. The way this man flew reminded Clark of surfing.
The young man wore a blue and red ancient Chinese robe that slightly fluttered when he landed a few meters away from Clark.
So this is a cultivator?! Amazing! What is he doing here, though? Could it be... this is a so-called fateful encounter?! Also... even if he looks young, as a cultivator, his real age can't be determined. He as well can be a ten-thousand-year-old monster!
"H-hello, senior," Clark said with respect.
He briefly noticed that the language he spoke wasn't English, but instead some unknown language that suddenly appeared in his mind. It seems that everything necessary for communication was already integrated into his brain or, rather, soul.
The System sure is considerate!
The young cultivator with a rather handsome face looked at Clark with his deep aquamarine eyes. His long black hair fluttered in a breeze that still remained after his flight.
"Hello, Clark Kennet," the young cultivator said with emotionless voice, "or, rather, should I call you Celestial Pill Emperor?"
Hearing this answer, instantly made Clark lose his composure. It isn't like that he has much of it left after multiple crazy events happening in succession.
"D-do you know me?" Clark asked uncertainly. "C-could it be that you are sent by the System or its owner to be my Master?!"
This was the most reasonable explanation for the current situation. If it were true, then things would be much smoother for him! After reading some cultivation novels, he knew perfectly well how dangerous the cultivation world is. Many arrogant young masters always hold a petty grudge against the protagonist for no reason whatsoever! Having a powerful Master could save him the trouble of dealing with them, right?!
"Master?" the cultivator tilted his head in confusion. "You sure have a vivid imagination. As expected of Pill Emperor."
"Then w-why are you here and why do you know so much about me?" Clark asked with caution.
"Why, I wonder?" the man smirked grimly.
Feeling a powerful malicious intent directed at him, Clark Kennet started to tremble, unable to calm down. Currently, he was just an ordinary person! There was no way for him to resist a powerful cultivator who was already able to fly!
"Sorry, did I scare you?" the cultivator changed his expression, smiling amiably. But to Clark, this genial smile was even more terrifying than the wicked intent he felt before! He couldn't move or say anything in return.
"I guess you deserve some explanation, boy," the man continued. "You see, I have no grudge against you. I don't hate you either. Though I didn't meet you in person, as the Celestial Pill Emperor you were known to be fair and righteous. I respect that. I really do."
The man paused for a minute, waiting for a reaction. But Clark was unable to overcome his fear, and so he remained silent and motionless.
"But you see, Clark - you Earthlings aren't welcome here. You are Cultivation Anomalies that change the balance of our world. Even if you aren't malicious, it doesn't change the fact that your sole existence endangers all Celestial and Mortal Realms. Even if your Alchemy could save millions, it would make billions lose their lives in exchange. In the end, you, Cultivation Anomalies, would be the reason why all of us perish."
The cultivator's gaze penetrated Clark Kennet, making him feel that this man could see through his whole being. Deep inside this cultivator's eyes were the signs of despair, of unwillingness and of deep sadness. Those were the eyes of an ancient existence that once lost everything it cherished.
"Now that I said all of this - are you ready to die? I guess, no. But it doesn't matter, because you have no choice. Sorry, pal. Good night."
Clark Kennet felt that it was unfair and that he was wronged - judged for something he didn't even do! He wanted to resist, he wanted to beg for mercy, he wanted to pray to God or the System, but he didn't have the power even to open his mouth. Before Clark realized, he could see his headless body below his line of sight. His head gently landed on the ground, and he experienced death for the second time.
The legend of the Celestial Pill Emperor finished even before it started. The man destined to become the best Alchemist that ever existed died just like this.
