The wind although inconsistent flowed through the large organic structures and brushes the smaller, creating a pattern all thier own.

This one was carefull to record and process this as it continued north.

While constrained on information and isolated from any seed, time was not of the essence and when something so unique is observed it must be documented properly.

The effect of the flexibility of the upper growth caused an almost unpredictable variety in the wind's song.

While less firm than stone and notes less clear the variety more than made up for the lack of direct clarity.

And layered over the wind it was at this point very clear that organic life loved making sound, almost every encountered mobile lifeform made unique tones upon encountering this one.

Based on previous experience most of these sounds were likely reactionary, due to unfamiliar observation of this one's movements. But there were also some forms that seemed to almost always be making sounds, the ones that flew through the air simpley by leveraging on the dense atmosphere.

The first observation of this feat was quite surprising to this one, as it had never seen a life form propell itself in the air via any other mean but magnetic. It garnered a certain newfound respect for the volatile creatures flexibility, in this manner it was clear while delicate and volatile. Organic life is almost certainly more flexible and possibly variable.

This one had cataloged a large variety of organic macro life already, more unique individuals than the total number observed on the third in several rotations! Most immobile elements were differentiated by color and structure patterns on the surface structure, while mobile elements by size number of legs and coating.

There were so far three distinct groups.

The small elements with the firm outside coating, the larger coated with patterned formations over thier entire bodies which had been observed to prey on the smallest, and also seems to universally be capable of flight. And finally the elements that appeared to have the most flexible outer coating with a fibrous growth across most if not all the exterior.

With the exception of the patterned formations the use of these elements currently escaped this one. After observing the elements flight it was simple to determine that the formations were exploiting the increased surface area to achieve better leverage on the atmosphere. Something the firm cased elements also commonly did via a different more reflective method.

These elements would make sense in time.

Although the desire to share these findings with the seed would not be satisfied in the foreseeable future.

This one had also determined that consious sapient life in such a volatile environment was unlikely to develop properly. While the mobile elements of life present showed measures of curiosity and base decision making with significant variance based on individual. Highlighted by some of the flighted elements landing on this one as it traveled. None had attempted meaningful communication.

Such traits were likely secondary or less desirable than those needed for preservation.

This one reviewed its catalog of the local life and assigned some base identifiers to categories.

The 4 so far encountered...

- Hardshells.

While not remarkably hard, the elements all shared a similar firm outer structure, due to accidental fatalities it was also observed that they contained no hard internal structure.

-Song Makers

All observed elements of this category shared a few key features. They all had a covering of these flexible lightweight colored plates on the majority of thier bodies. They all leveraged the atmosphere for unassisted flight. And they almost all produced mass amounts of patterned sound. This one had enjoyed cataloging each variants emissions.

-Fibrous Quadrupeds

The three major similarities shared would be the very flexible outer coating, quadrupedal stance, and fibrous covering.

While they also produce sounds, none have held the same variety or range of the song makers.

- Growths

This one was hesitant to place all the immobile elements into a singular category even only temporarily. But every current examinations findings found them to all be very similar in structure. The largest variance observed were size and pattern. Closer investigation will be nessesary at a later time.

This one approved of the current categories and returned its focus to it's surroundings. Future detail work and precision can wait untill a clearer picture of the ecosystem is present, and that is already appearing to be a very long task.

Based on the sheer density of organic life already observed in such a short time, it is hard to predict where it may end.

The largest numbers by far have been the Growths and Hardshells, but based on sound alone there are numerous song makers outside of my range of direct observation. The least common Fibrous quadrupeds have been the most difficult to observe, as they are the most cautious.

This leads this one to predict that large predators are almost assuredly present on the world, ones likely competing in size with this one. Fortunately every element so far as seemed very delicate. And based on the observed Song maker's predation on the hardshells and one very small fibrous quadruped. Redundant systems do not seem to be present in any of the elements.

Another reason This one is predicting a lack of sentient and sapient life, the first think Beo did upon gaining sapience was begin redundancy. A Beo can be reduced to nothing but a core and still be fully functional, and explorers had to have three separate cores in every instance. The local wildlife lacking this intelligent design did not bode well for the probabilities.

While observing the atmosphere this one noted an anomaly, a darker formation thay appeared to be rising from the surface.

It was likely from some form of chemical reaction, as sometimes observed when researching. This one picked up its speed in order to more closely observer this phenomenon. As most reactions would likely only last a relatively short time.

The source of the phenomena was... entirely different than what this one could have predicted.

It appeared to be the remnants of an Endothermic reaction likely involving the remnants of some growths and the oxygen saturated atmosphere.

But that was not what surprised this one so, there were two structures around the remnants of the reaction, and structures they had to be. While not perfectly symmetrical or refined each was constructed similarly. Made from material taken from the larger growths mixed with what appeared to be mostly unoxididized Metallica. Other materials were present but yet unobserved so gained new entries.

The other surprising factor was the number of Fibrous Quadrupeds that were predating on what appeared to be an element yet unobserved. Based on its remnants it seemed to be bipedal in nature and covered in material present on some of the structures, likely making it constructed as well. This discovery upset all of this one's predictions, but this one was not displeased. Having obviously sentient and sapient life of non Beo origin!

This revelation was interrupted by a change in posture by the 4 fibrous quadrupeds. They ceased predation to move as a group approaching this one.

They made rhythmic sounds as they approached which this one recorded.

Perhaps Fibrous Quadrupeds would only approach after predation? Or was this defensive behavior.

This one determined it was defensive behavior... the information presented by this opportunity is currently far more valuable than observing the behavior of the fibrous quadrupeds. Disuading them from further predation would prove valuable for closer research of the life forms responsible for the constructs.

The closest quadruped leaped at this one's form. After relaying energy internally and then releasing a focused beam with the intent of thermally destabilizing the quadruped the central segment of the quadruped... popped.

The interpretation that the life form was in fact incredibly fragile was confirmed as the other quadrupeds fled after only a moment observing the last movements of the first.

This one assessed them as more intelligent than predicted and examined the exposed and bubbling remains of the now dead quadruped.
