Chapter #1: Prolog

*Thump *Thump *Thump *thump

A slow steady cadence of deep drum beats echoed throughout the camp.

A group of 800 goblins all were on there knees in a large circle. Each had a small single drum in front of them, and despite goblins being known for there lack of coordination and precision the goblins were all hitting there drum at the same time consistently and at a steady rhythm.  This could likely be explained by the only non kneeing goblin in the middle of the formation. This was no ordinary goblin but a goblin shaman.

Many many years ago goblin shaman were well not common but every 2000 or so goblins a shaman would be brought up. For a goblin to become a traditional goblin to become a traditional goblin to become a goblin shaman, it first must evolve before 5 years of life and become a hobgoblin. Just as the evolution finishes however another shaman must interrupt the alteration of the brain and have the knowledge to change it's mana pathways. Once this is complete the previous shaman will train this new shaman and the cycle would have continued.

This cycle however got interrupted by the evolution of hairless apes known as humans. The humans were strangely good at channeling mana and were tool user to boot. They soon spread through the world and to concur land for there so called "towns" destroying everything in there way. Goblins were pushed out of there ancestral home and shaman especially were hunted as there vast mana pathways in there body's would form cores.

Now there are barley 1 in 50,000 goblins being shamans, and that being with the decrease in tradition goblin numbers too.

Now one of there extremely rare goblin shamans were performing a ritual that it reformed many times before which was suppose to bring aid to them. But with so few under it's command the magical force behind this spell was so low it should have done nothing. Despite this the shaman said the ancient words it had been taught long ago.

"Whispered winds, forgotten tides,

In twilight's grasp, the secret hides.

Hobgoblin hearts, cores aflame,

Weave the threads of ancient name.

Hairless echoes, human thrall,

Mana's dance, a cryptic sprawl.

Barren numbers, goblin kin,

Chant the void, let power in.

Barley truths, tradition's wane,

Lost in cycles, shadows' reign."

With that a explosion of mana shoots up into the sky. Ordinarily this amount of mana in such a drastic of a spell would do nothing and yet the mana managed to graze a small Gods divinity and in empower it. This was not all as the stream of mana shoots up, it travels into a the pass of a triple soler eclipse not on earth. These two things together formed a powerful spell that even some more notable gods took notice of. the spell as it was designed to do looked for anything to give aid and found nothing anywhere near it that could shave the goblins. Because of it's lucky power it went much farther than intended and was outside of the solar system.  It then continued to go on and on until it found something that could maybe help the goblins, a small blue and green planet called dirt.

The caster knowing non of this just let out a sigh and could only watch as a human city picked up on the blast of mana and be gutted to provide mana cores.
