Victorique's Short Stories!

  A Military Matter

“Ugh!” Victorique fumed, “I can never do anything around here!”

“Something the matter, Blancheaur?” Linoch inquired.

“Oh!” Victorique squeaked, “Captain, maybe you can do me a favor!”

“I mean, depends on the favor, but I’ll bite,” He replied.

“Please tell Sebastian to stop babying me! I can do things myself and I don’t need to be told things are dangerous!”

“What were you trying to do?” Linoch asked.

“I wanted to help him on missions he gets up to! But he just said stuff about how dangerous they are!” Victorique exclaimed.

Linoch heaved a sigh and bent down slightly to look Victorique in the eyes, “Sebastian does very dangerous work for us, he’s here to serve you more than us, it’s our responsibility to keep you safe, but it’s his sole purpose in life to keep you safe, happy, and healthy, none of us care about your happiness, and I certainly don’t care about your health, but Sebastian does, remember that,”

  A Customer Service

“Good evening, my lady,” Sebastian said, “How may I serve you today?”

Upon making eye contact, Victorique burst into tears and held her arms out for a hug.

“My lady, I am not allowed to touch you,” Sebastian said.

“Shut-up,” Victorique sniffled, “Come-here,”

Sebastian nodded and walked over to Victorique, immediately embracing her. It took a long moment, but he worked up the courage to stroke her hair as well.

“I’m-so-sorry!” Victorique sniffled.

“It’s okay,” Sebastian replied, “I could never be mad at you, my lady,”

  Noble Suitors

Victorique sat at her desk and rested her head in her arms.

“Urgh…” Victorique groaned, “All these nobles are so old or just weird!” It’s like they’ve never even talked to a woman before!”

A knock was heard at the door. Victorique answered with a, “Who is it?”

“Good evening, my lady, it is your loyal servant, Sebastian Gallo,”

“Enter,”

Sebastian soon entered, “Good evening once more, my lady, I heard you talking to yourself and decided to check on you,”

Victorique heaved a sigh, “Why can’t all these suitors of mine have the same etiquette and care that you do?”

“Don’t say that, my lady, I’m sure that only the best have been chosen as your suitors,” Sebastian said.

“If this is the best this country has to offer, I fear for its future,” Victorique lamented, “I wish you were born into nobility Sebastian, you’d be a good noble,”

“My lady, I’m flattered, but I likely would not be the same person as I am now,”

“I see…” Victorique muttered to herself, “Then, Sebastian, you shall take me out into town! We shall go on a ‘date’ as the commoners call it!”

“As you wish, my lady,”

A Noble Woman's Puppy Dog Love

Victorique climbed onto Sebastian’s back, “My feet are tired,” She said, “And obviously it is the honor of all to carry a brilliant and beautiful noble such as myself on your back!”

“Naturally it is, my lady,” Sebastian replied, hooking his arms around Victorique’s thighs, “Where to first, my lady?”

“Just keep walking, I’ll point where I want to go!” Victorique said.

“Very well,”

Sebastian walked along, he took small glances back to Victorique every now and then. As expected, she had rested her head on his shoulder and fell asleep.

Sebastian cracked a smile and continued walking, “Good night, my lady,”

  One Hell of a Butler

Victorique held onto Sebastian’s arm, doing her best to hide behind him. She pointed towards an ice cream stand, “Sebastian, they have a cake batter flavor! How do people think of these things?” Victorique squeaked.

Sebastian guided Victorique towards the stand, “There are very creative people in this country,” Sebastian replied.

He stopped in front of the stand and nudged Victorique, then nodded to the stand. She glanced at Sebastian before heaving a sigh and walking in front of Sebastian. However, before she could open her mouth to speak, a young-looking nobleman approached them. Completely ignoring Sebastian, he walked to Victorique.

“So, that’s where you ran off to,” He said, “I was wondering where you were, we were supposed to meet up today,”

Sebastian bowed to the two and went to step away, but was stopped by Victorique grabbing his sleeve. Victorique pulled Sebastian in front of her.

“Oh,” Sebastian said, “Greetings, sir, Sebastian Gallo at your service,” He bowed, “I am in service to lady Blancheaur of the esteemed house Blancheaur,”

The noble looked Sebastian up and down before simply scoffing at him, “Count Walsh,” He simply stated,

Sebastian heaved a sigh before pulling a small notebook and pen from his pocket. He flipped through a few pages before he crossed something out.

“Ah, it appears your meeting with Duchess Blancheaur and Empress Eden is canceled today, my apologies,” He said.

The Count opened his mouth to speak before being rushed away by his guards and servants.

Sebastian looked behind him to Victorique, who hugged him from behind. He felt her tears on his back.

“Thank you so much,” She cried.

“Of course, my lady, I’m one hell of a butler, after all,”

  A Mysterious Letter

“Sebastian!” Victorique called out.

Within a few moments, Sebastian was standing in front of Victorique.

“Yes, my lady?” He said.

Victorique made eye contact and immediately blushed, then looked away. She pulled out a fancy-looking letter and handed it to him.

“Don’t read it out loud here! Go elsewhere to read it!” Victorique squeaked.

Sebastian nodded, bowed, and simply said, “As you wish, my lady,”

He took the letter, said his goodbyes and promptly left. He soon opened the letter. The letter read, “I love you,”

Sebastian smiled and carried on, “I love you too, my lady,”

  Social Classes

Victorique flopped on her bed. She squealed around, half excitement, half anxiousness.

“I can’t believe I just gave that to him!” Victorique yelped, “I wonder what he’ll say, I wonder what he’ll do…”

As though he was listening to her monologue, a letter was slipped under her door. Victorique leaped out of her bed and grabbed the letter. She ripped it open. Its contents read, “My lady, I am writing to inform you that your feelings are reciprocated. However, I regret to inform you that due to the extreme difference in our social classes, we cannot be together. I am of common blood, and you of noble… I apologize. Yours truly, Sebastian Renhault Gallo,”

Victorique crumbled up the letter and threw it aside, “That’s a bunch of,,,” She started, “So stupid…”
