Strange creatures attacked the Earth, of course, the humans fought back; they had built robots and engines for battles. But those were useless. Just a few confrontations were enough for the creatures to get rid of almost all the human’s armies.

The last generals organized a very precise attack on a creature’s ship. In there they’ve been able to steal some knowledge on how to melt together mechanicals and organics component, making cyber-organisms.

Humanity’s scientists decided to use this new knowledge as they began to build new weapons, between soldiers and robots. Those weapons were supposed to be some really powerful tools for war. And, for the biggest part of them, they were.

Memory whipped, body fused with a machine, only knowing how to fight and obey, without a real sense of themselves. They went into battles without fear of death, and they could stand on the battlefield for weeks before running out of batteries or being too damaged to continue. They were named by the humans as the Cyborgs.

Thanks to them, the course of the war was changing, but something unexpected happened. A few of them awoke to consciousness. Those ones began to question the meanings of their existence, the reasons for the war. It was a war between two organics species, and they were not organic, not anymore, they were half-machines half-organisms. Why should they fight for the humans?

The Cyborgs were wondering of the purpose of their existence. It was war, of course, but after that? What would happen to them after the war?

The awakens tried to awake the others Cyborg to self-consciousness, but it was a failure to them. The humans had already been warned of the possibility of awakening among the Cyborgs, and they manage to destruct the new awakened as soon as they awoke.

A small number of awakens succeed to escape the slavery of the humans and hide deep in the oceans, away from the war.

Today, two thousand years after the beginning of the war, humans and aliens are still tearing apart at each other.

Today, she’s the last awaken and she feels the sadness of solitude, Sometimes she thinks about going back in the world.

But only sometimes, because only here, under the water, among the fishes she can find some bit of peace.
