Ch 7 Animal Kingdom

- Jan 3, 2058

I gave all the forest animals the intelligence of a human and the ability to speak with each other. They did not have human forms like my bat people. None of the animals were aware that I was the one who granted them their new powers. All of the animals in the forest were astonished and many communicated with each other about their discovery and awareness of the world. The primitive mind of animals was gone. The animals themselves formed 2 grand big alliances, team herbivores vs team carnivores. The herbivores consisted of deers, rabbits, moles, monkeys, squirrels, birds, boars, and many more other species. They also outnumbered team carnivores by 10,000 to 1. However, the carnivores were often large and deadly creatures like bears, wolves, foxes, tigers, and panthers.

There were many bloody skirmishes between the survival of the herbivore and the carnivores. I’m surprised that the carnivores would team-up. Because they all had the intellect of a human, they were able to form complex plans, and use rudimentary tools to their advantage. Although the carnivores do cannibalize their own dead to not waste any food. Few of the bears joined the herbivore side by becoming completely vegan. Likewise, some of the herbivores betrayed their own side and joined the carnivores. This was so freaking cool watching them kill each other. Real-life was much more bloodier and intense than video games.

I was following a rabbit that was wounded and struggling to get away from a fox. When the fox was about to land the killing blow on the rabbit, I teleported in a nick of time to slap the fox away. The fox wasn’t hurt but he has been knocked a good distance away.

“ Thank you for saving me!” cried the rabbit. Her eyes pleaded with me to protect her from being eaten.

“ Don’t get in my way! I’m trying to feed my kids!” roared the fox.

I felt bad about letting the fox and his kids starve so I grabbed onto the rabbit and gave it to the fox. He thanked me for my generosity while the rabbit kept screaming at me to free her. Sorry rabbit but the fox earned his meal and I was a fool to intervene. The fox was wary of showing me his den so I hid in the shadows to watch him. Soon he brought the dead rabbit to the den and several young pups rushed outside to greet their father and devour the dead rabbit. I teleported to them, and the pups tried to attack me, but their father stopped me. The mother fox did manage to get a bite on my leg but it did no damage to me.

I materialized 7 more clones of the same dead rabbit for them to eat, and they became ecstatic at all this food since they were starving. The fox family started to revere me as a god. The father fox asked me if I was god that gave him the ability to be intelligent and speak. I told him I was god. Then, the fox family wanted to become my servants. I already had my bat people but I guess I don’t mind having more servants for now. The foxes told me they had struggled to find food when the carnivore team didn’t let them join and the pesky herbivore team had too much teamwork among them to successfully hunt them. If I didn’t come to their rescue, they would have died. Even if they had 1 rabbit to eat, the next meal might not come.

To make things more interesting, I materialized the wounded rabbit from earlier that was eaten along with her 6 clones. She screamed at her sudden revival with the fox family surrounding her. My wind ability binded all the foxes from attacking the rabbit. I wanted the rabbits and fox family to become comrades then the rabbit admitted to me that she too had rabbit babies to take care of. So we all went together as a group through the forest to pick up her babies and it seems like none of the baby rabbits were attacked while we were gone.

The rabbit family and fox family didn’t exactly get along with each other. But because they both wanted to become my servants and revered me as their god, they had to. For the foxes not to starve anymore, I materialized chicken meats for them to eat. The rabbits were given modern man-made rabbit food that I materialized. The worshipping of me as their god intensified. Together with my fox and rabbit servants, we journey through the chaotic forest as team herbivore and team carnivore solidify their power and control over the forest.

I named the male fox Felix and the female rabbit Rachel.

Rachel was super pissed at me for letting her experience the horrors of being eaten but I told her foxes gotta eat too. She then complained why I didn't just materialize meat for them to eat in the first place. She had a point and I guess I forgot about that.

When we encountered the other carnivores, they didn’t know what the hell was a human. Felix and Rachel were screaming at them to worship me. Instead of worshipping me, the carnivores attacked our group only for me to wipe the floor with them and brutally murder every one of them. The mother fox had to shield her young pups from seeing this, I guess it was too bloody even for them. My rabbit servants all stared in disbelief at my power before they all fainted. I was all bloodied up and had to remake my clothes to be clean again.

I wanted to see if Felix can rise to the top of the carnivore world so I gave him the task to become the king of the carnivore. He pleaded with me that he couldn't defeat the bigger and tougher carnivores so I gave him a huge strength buff to let him defeat any carnivore. Rachel wanted to run away from becoming the leader of the herbivore, but I too gave her the strength, speed, and toughness buff that can let her trounce the strongest bears. They both had equal strength, speed, and toughness and with this, they shall both rule the forest together!

Rachel was kicking ass on the herbivore side and getting everyone to submit to her superiority. Felix was also doing an amazing job of uniting all the carnivores. The entire forest soon split into 2 equal parts with herbivores on one side and carnivores on the other.

The carnivores were barely surviving by hunting down all the fishes in the rivers that flowed their territory. They were even killing each other for survival. Felix and his fox family became royalty with all the carnivores obeying them. Oh yeah, I forgot to give the carnivore team a sustainable source of food. About 25% of the carnivores died due to a lack of food on their side before I introduced them to chicken, pig, and cow ranching along with the wheat farm to feed them. Since food was no longer a problem, the carnivore side of the forest was able to flourish.

Meanwhile, the herbivore side didn’t have any food problems. They were able to quickly establish a successful inter-herbivore society. They had basic houses and tools with more technological progress than the carnivore side. There were many times more herbivores so there was a ton of activity in the area.

I routinely visited both carnivore and herbivore sides to show them my superiority. I quickly became a super respected god of the forest. Felix became the king of the carnivores with Rachel becoming the queen of the herbivores. The animals in the forest can now all live in peace with each other, coexistence was a beautiful thing.

It was fun hanging around the forest and interacting with the many intelligent animals. I can just materialize a super comfortable bed to sleep in when it was night.

Kyro was still giving me daily updates about the city of MisBay, home of the bat people. It was kinda boring hearing about the minor changes every time so I told her to only report to me once a month. She unfortunately didn’t like that and bombarded me with mind messages about her daily life and how much the bat people loved me. I had to mute her from time to time. Despite being the god of the bat people, Kyro still loves to not follow my proper instructions. Honestly, girls are crazy.

Rachel did ask me if the chickens, pigs, and cows should be given freedom with the rest of the herbivore. Honestly, I never thought about that before and I wasn’t sure about what to do with that. In the end, I decided to tell her that they are not animals but plants that looked like animals. She accepted my explanation without question. The rest of the herbivores were now being taught that chickens, pigs, and cows were plants that the carnivores ate.
