The National Monarchy of Texas is in a state of constant war with its neighbors as its legions of magically enhanced soldiers fight to reclaim their supposed birthright and reunite the old territories of the United Empire of America. Amidst the turmoil, 17 year old daughter of a successful military contractor, Lucille Thompson, is forced to enter into the dreaded No Child Left Behind program, where any citizen who doesn't have a career path by the age of 18 is forced to work for the government in jobs where low pay and long hours are the least of their worries.
