Misdirected

"Is he gonna be okay?" asked the young black haired youth as he watched Bakugo with a trepid face, a small quiver in his vocals paired with a touch of apprehension and worry in his tone. "He doesn't look hurt but his clothes are all ripped and singed. He seems as if he got into a fight."

"He should be fine Takuya," Ms. Ayaka comforted as she ran her hands on the air a millimeter above Bakugo's unconscious figure. "It seems that there's no serious injuries nor any type of illness that's affecting him. I'm not sure how but it seems he's both physically and mentally exhausted which is, most probably, what caused him to faint. Most likely it was from another students quirk.

Takuya let out a relieved sigh as he stood up from the chair situated next to the infirmary bed that Bakugo was lying upon. Soft brown eyes gazed at the school nurse, a gentle and appreciative smile spreading across his boyish face. Even the most unintelligent person in school would be hard pressed to mistake the youths look for anything other then gratitude and admiration, such genuine and pure soul shining through. Even the nurse, who was a good age above the student, was unable to meet the boys energy and enthusiasm, choosing to shyly avoid the boys gaze.

"You're amazing Hanae-sensei!!!" The black haired adolescent gave a bow, his voice slightly raised. "Thank you so much for looking after him!"

Ayaka raised her hands as she stumbled backwards, caught off guard by how polite the boy was. She had a hard time dealing with passionate emotion and now was no exception as she refused to even glance over the teen. "It's really nothing. I'm merely doing my job."

"Still. Thank You!!" Takuya stood up straight, his eyes shining.

Ayaka let out a sigh as she slowly regained her composure, calming down just enough to slip back into a professional set of mind. It was difficult, but she finally managed to grasp her authority as a teacher and put herself back above the boy in front of her. "In any case, while you did a good job of fetching him, classes have yet to end. Head on back."

"Very well," Takuya said cheerfully as he gave a short bow before heading to the door. "Please, take care of yourself."

Sliding the infirmary door open, the small teenager waved towards Ayaka before firmly closing it behind him, cutting off the teacher from view. The moment it was shut, the joyous expression plastered over Takuya's face disappeared, becoming completely deadpan as he began walking down the empty hallway, his pace speeding up the farther he went. Somewhere along the way, the youth disappeared and was immediately replaced with a smirking Kurahira, his orange tail appearing rapidly from the boys tailbone.

"Well, that was fun." The young fox muttered, his tail swishing back and forth as he made his way down the corridor. "Good thing I swiped a strand of hair on the way out of class as a precaution. Saved me a lot of time in erasing my tracks."

-----------------------------------

Quirk: Fox Spirit

Ability: Shapeshifting

Kurahira is able to shapeshift into anyone he pleases as long as he consumes some of the persons DNA (i.e strands of hair, saliva, blood, etc). The amount of DNA taken determines the amount of time he can spend as the person. Cannot be negated by any means but Kurahira's other abilities aside from illusions are restricted until he switches back to normal.

(("My acting could use a little work though,")) Kurahira thought as he walked towards the entrance to the school. (("While Takuya does indeed act like that, perhaps I acted just a tad too overzealous. Of course.....unless that nurse really attempts to dig deep, she won't realize anything is off and, even if she did, there's no way to trace it back to me given all the false trails I planted along the way. At this point, only Kana knows what I've done but she isn't likely to say anything as long as I take her to the water park. Additionally, that she-devil's quirk erased most of the damage done to the surroundings as well as the injuries on Bakugo once we left the bubble. There's no way the nurse will bother to pursue what happened given that there was no serious injury."))

To say that the young fox was meticulous was a vast understatement. When it came down it, Kurahira always made sure he had a way to either cover his tracks or possessed some sort of backup plan should unforeseen circumstances arise. He never went into anything blind nor did he ever expose his other abilities to people without being sure he could properly misdirect them or give an outright lie that seemed believable. To this day, even Kana was unaware of the full extent of his abilities and Kura had every intention of keeping it that way. In order to get away with manipulating events and causing chaos in the future, it was imperative that the young fox keep his other powers a mystery so as to maximize his own innocence should he need an alibi.

Shortly after the fight with Katsuki Bakugo, Kurahira had swallowed the DNA of Takuya Aoi, a fellow classmate who sat near the back of the room. Having swiped one of his hairs on the way out, it had been the perfect way to leave the bubble, appearing as someone else in front of the school's entrance while carrying an unconscious student. All Kura had to do after that was bring Bakugo to the infirmary, run a flawless acting job while maintaining his facade as Takuya before eventually leaving.

With everything taken into account, there was virtually no way to link him to anything that had been done. While the students in his class had watched the entire exchange between him and the fiery blonde, Bakugo had far too much pride to admit what had transpired and would come back to school the next day like nothing had happened. The most the angry adolescent would ever offer if interrogated would be a sound of contempt before telling the other person to mind their own business.

With all his bases covered, Kurahira pushed it all to the back of his mind as he strolled out the front door while at the same time swallowing a strand of hair the youth had stolen from a passing teacher earlier in the day. Though he would've preferred to possess the DNA of someone who wasn't balding, having swiped the hair from a middle aged man with waning brown hair, he reckoned that he couldn't exactly be too choosy.

"So, what's next on the agenda?" Kurahira muttered to himself as his tail disappeared and he grew a few inches taller, hairline receding rapidly. "For now, I guess let's just head on back home and make myself something to eat. Maybe get some training in."

Kurahira had no real interest in returning to boring confines of his classroom.

For starters, it was almost the end of the day, meaning it was essentially pointless to sit down and put himself through the torment of learning something he himself was already well versed in. With thirty minutes left until the day ended, Kurahira wasn't in the mood to put up with the loud clanging of the final bell followed by the hustle and bustle of the students as they rushed to either get home or begin their after school activites.

It was much simpler to just shave off the remaining time and find something much more interesting to do. At this point, he was having an internal debate on what should be done as of next.

"So, I have two options." Kurahira muttered as he left the school property with a confident strut. Once he turned the corner and was confident that no one could see him, he morphed back into his half fox self. "I can either head on home and train some of my abilities or I can head to another town and run wild over there and then be back on time for bed. Either one sounds relatively nice."

"Why don't you let me join you then?"

Kurahira froze midstep, an annoyed look spreading over his face the moment he recognized the voice. Standing up straight, the youth turned his head slightly, using his peripheral to glance behind him. "Is there a reason you're here? Kana? Or are you just here to be a pain?"

"I'm the same as you," Kana Himoa answered as she walked around the corner Kura had just came from. "Just playing hooky is all. I had a feeling you'd skip out after fighting Bakugo due to your habit of avoiding things that disinterest you. So, I left class the moment you exited the bubble and waited nearby. My hunch had a 9% probable chance of being wrong, but luckily my guesses are usually on the mark.

(("Tch! Damned witch."))
