Prologue: The knight, the priest and the princess

Prologue: The knight, the priest and the princess

Facing the young girl kneeling on the ground, the priest raised his palm to the sky as if in prayer.

\\\'To die honourably would be to die in a magnificent way, thus...\\\'. The ground began to glow as the priest thrust his palm to the ground as if pulling something down from the heavens.

Right infront of the girls eyes, something that could only be called a demon rose from the cracked ground as if ascending from the depths of hell.

The giant demon slowly rose up as it pulled back its gigantic fist. Anything hit by something of that of that size would undoubtedly be smashed like glass. A magnificent way to die, or so thought the priest.

The girl closed her eyes, still kneeling in the same spot. Her legs were shaking as she knew that she couldnt run even if she had tried. Her expression full of painfull regret at her current situation.

\\\'Surely if it was still like before, this could have been avoided\\\' The girl thought to herself. Surely if i still had the power i had before. Surely...

But she did not have any power to speak of, all she could was to silently accept her fate.

Her fated end however, did not come. Instead of experiencing the pain of death, the girl instead heard the sound of a deep drum echoing all around her.

She opened her eyes and saw two giants- two demons. One of shining metal, the other of crumbling rock. Fighting each other as they traded blows that could blow buildings into pieces if they missed their target even once.

The ground shook and broke as the demons stamped their legs into the ground in order to keep their balance, causing cracks to form.

In the middle of the epic battle, the girl still kneeled, confused and afraid.

She could feel something on her shoulder. Someone had placed their hand on her shoulder as if to reassure her that everything was alright, And althought She felt like laughing at that idea, strangely enough, she did feel calmer.

The owner of the hand walked up infront of the girl. Shielding her from the sight of the battle.

Thats when the girl realised. The person infront of her was a knight, a knight that was her shield and protected her from the demons.

The knight drew his sword, a magnificent black blade, and pointed his blade towards the figure dressed in red robes.

The priest that had called the demon, wearing crimson robes that seemed covered in others blood.

Before she knew it, the knight had disappeared from infront of her. Appearing in the sky, like a bird of prey.

As the knight fell from the sky towards the blood priest, he raised his blade high above his head, preparing for his first and final attack. The priest smiled and raised his right hand towards the knight. A sudden flash of light prevented the girl from seeing what happened next.

Her mind drifted away, her last thought being of her knight.
