A Q&A with Ayume

Author: Welcome to our Q&A session, Ayume. I appreciate you stepping out of the narrative to answer a few questions for our readers.

Swapan/Ayume: It's always a pleasure to connect with the audience.

Author: My first question is about your choice of weapon. Why did you choose a chakra to fight demons?

Sapan/Ayume: In the dream world, you can choose any weapon, but it has to be something you've seen in the real world. Essentially, you can only manifest things in the dream world that you've encountered in real life. I steered clear of a sword because it's quite common, and almost every protagonist uses one. The chakra appealed to me for its versatility. Once it's charged with light, it's as effective in close range as a sword, and it can also be used for long-range attacks, similar to a boomerang.

Author: So, you're aiming to stand out as a protagonist? Could you explain to our audience what it means for a weapon to be 'charged with light'?

Sapan/Ayume: The weapon itself is just an object. To function as a weapon in the dream world, it needs to be empowered by a certain kind of light. This 'light' can take many forms, and its power depends on both the dreamer and the person casting the light. For example, if I'm in the dream of an entrepreneur, I might use the light of ambition. I figure the dreamer would have a strong sense of ambition, and personally, my ambition is pretty high too—to defeat the Demon God and eradicate nightmares forever.

Author: Could you give us more examples of what this light can be? And what happens after you cast this light in a nightmare?

Sapan/Ayume: Sure. There are various types of light, like love, anger, and power. If a parent casts a light of protection in their child's dream, for instance, no demon can stand against it. Once the light is cast, it gradually begins to overpower the nightmare, eventually destroying all the demons inside.

Author: That gives us a pretty good idea. All the best on your mission, Ayume. We're all rooting for you to help Mr. Carlos get rid of his nightmares. I hope the audience enjoyed you taking the time out for us and will leave positive comments on this chapter to encourage us to write more.
