Under a beautiful moon, illuminating the planet with a warm light, two individuals were locked in a vicious altercation. Their surroundings were in severe disarray; buildings were crumbled, and holes littered the ground with blood painting the scenery and adding a horrific tone.
A white and seemingly illusory figure was bathed in blood, broken and battered. Eyes flickering between brown and an illuminated violet, holding fast to its deeper version longer and longer.
The assailant was a large male, also covered in blood, with a crazed look in his eyes, it was evident he was far off the deep end. Both furiously attacked one another.
Moon was tired, so very tired. He had been resisting this barrage of inhuman blows for who knows how long, and he wasn't even sure how much longer he could last.
Seth was dead set on killing him if what he was fighting was even Seth anymore. His hair tinged
But he never felt so alive. The world felt clear, as if he had been living in a haze since his mother's murder. He was in pain, but he was free.
Every hit brought back something he had been suppressing: his mother's mangled and nigh unrecognizable body, her screams, the sounds of her being tortured.
But when he could feel something in his mind begin to snap, a pressure descended upon him. A weight rested itself onto his shoulders and pressed him to the ground, allowing for no room to move.
It was stealing his rhythm of breathing; ragged huffs were all he could manage just to remain alive.
He still had simple control over his head, albeit movements were slow and weak. Moon could see that in front of him, Seth was experiencing the same pressure but seemingly amplified.
The ground below him was slowly caving in while he convulsed with foam dripping from his mouth. Animalistic howls left his mouth as he clawed the ground in a futile attempt at an escape.
"My god you're loud"
A voice casually remarked from somewhere behind Moon, outside of his limited head motion. It sounded casual and laid-back, as if the owner didn't have a care in the world.
Their footsteps were slow and unhurried, they whistled a tune unfamiliar to Moon as they got closer, in no rush to come within his eyesight.
They stopped directly in front of Moon, it was a young man, around Moon's age or a little older with short messy hair. He was more on the toned side with a casual poise about him, like he was in his element.
He squatted down and surveyed Seth with curious eyes.
"You're a mess here pal. You wouldn't happen to know how you evaded our scanners would you?"

Growls and snarls were his only response, either out of spite or lack of human speech, Moon wasn't sure, but it didn't seem like this guy would get what he was looking for.
The man chuckled and with a motion quicker than Moon could even glimpse or comprehend, he pierced Seth's skull and nailed his head to the street below
"I'll ask your friend then," he said with a chilling voice.
He turned and surveyed Moon with indifference, that is, until they locked eyes. Moon could see his composure breaking, the nonchalance falling away, but only for a split second.
"This is going to be a pain in the ass, isn't it?"
He sighed and reached into the robes he was wearing to fish something out. They were midnight black with a golden cross embroidered at the breast, red tinged the edges and he wore them loosely and unprofessionally, but the last thing Moon did was underestimate whoever was in front of him.
Expecting a weapon of sorts to manifest from the man's robes, Moon steeled himself for a fight.
However, his resolve was worked up for nothing since the strange man only pulled out a crystal, around the size of his hand, that began to glow once he held it firmly within his grasp.
Seemingly hesitant, he stared at the crystal for a moment before placing it back within his coat and crouching down to eye level with Moon.
"What are you? No, who are you?"
The question derailed Moon's train of thought. When was the last someone approached with a question of curiosity, simply wanting to know more about him, regardless of the intent behind it.
"I am Moon, who are you"
"My name is Aelius, and I was sent here to kill you, Moon"
Moon believed him, he was entirely capable of it. The way he effortlessly crushed Seth when Moon was starting to have trouble with him, he knew he encountered a fight he couldn't swing his way out of.
"However, killing you right now, would be a waste. So, Moon, tell me your life story and if you leave anything out, this will be your final destination."
Not particularly fond of dying, Moon began to explain his life. Starting with his blissful childhood, living alone with his mother, life was relatively peaceful save for a few odd encounters.
"Explain these odd encounters you speak of, if you're hiding things from me, I will kill you"
Moon could understand his skepticism, however there was nothing to explain, even to this day he has no idea what happened during the few times his mother kept something from him.
"I cannot explain to you the meaning or implications behind them; however, I can describe to you what occurred and what I saw"
He seemed to understand what I was getting at and nodded for me to continue.
"The earliest is also the vaguest memory. I was at an age where I could talk but not yet walk and talk, I did. However, one day while my mother was preparing dinner, all the objects in the room began to levitate and behave weirdly. Some started to stretch out, while others looked impossibly far away, by even hundreds of feet.
Pausing to gauge Aelius' reaction, Moon was aware that what he was saying sounded like a bold-faced lie. Not a soul has ever actually believed him, he stopped trying to explain his weird life many years ago.
Studying his face, Moon searched for traces of doubt, perhaps anger that Moon would sit here and lie to him, and yet, Aelius' just seemed to be intently listening
"What, is there something on my face?"
His confusion was evident as he swiped phantom objects from his face
"You're not suspicious that I'm lying to you? Nothing I'm saying doesn't seem, beyond reason?"
He paused his swiping to make direct eye contact with Moon and take on the same tone he used when threatening Moon of his life.
"When you're in my line of work, doubting something just because it seems unreasonable, will leave you in situations worse than death can offer."
