Monica

Monica

Grey eyes, pale skin, and a twisted body -

It was the scariest thing Luis had ever heard about in his life. The figure was said to be immensely twisted and there was a look of terror it had that was impossible to miss -

Ms. Monica had died, and in the worst possible way Luis could have ever imagined.

He had of course hadn't actually seen her corpse, but he heard the whispers amongst the people in the crowd - in the apartment.

Monica was quite the extravagant lady who liked doing whatever she liked, whenever she wanted to - which was probably why she had owned that many pets, it was practically an army of feline creatures.

She should have been kicked out a while ago or at least her feline creatures should have been. considering apartment owners were quite sensitive about owning that many pets.

However, Ms. Monica was quite the wealthy lady and paid 3 times the amount of rent to keep her pets around, so what if her cats made a lot of noise for her neighbors and were sometimes found - well, doing excessively disgusting 'stuff' in the hallways? The residents could go to hell - or better yet leave if they had a problem with it, It wouldn't make much of a difference with little Monica around as a cash cow.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

Which was probably why her death spread around the apartment like wildfire - few people liked her and for the majority of the people ? Luis had no doubt that they had deep grudges and hatred held for her ,Luis even heard a few replies from pure seething hatred ;

'She had it coming , Karma finally got to her'

Most of the people said in hushed whispers. However , there was one thing that made Luis' blood run cold -

What on earth did Monica see that killed her in such a horrifying way?

Yes, Monica was not your run-of-the-mill Samaritan, heck - she probably never laid a foot in a church her entire life , but to die like that was a bit cruel, even for someone like her.

Ring-Ring

Luis heard his phone ring and when he checked he saw a text -

'I am sure you've probably heard about the cat-woman living in your apartment by now, I'd love to hear about her - and I am 100% sure the people at work would too. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, don't screw this up.'

Luis put his phone back into his pocket before he picked up a newspaper he had been reading, written by SunRise - a newspaper company.

It was sure going to be a hellish day , more than it already was.
