Back Story Part 3

When I came to, the room was beyond cleaning. Mutilated corpse filled the room, it really was a sight to see. The corpses didn't have full bodies. Limbs scattered everywhere.

I didn't feel sick or disgusted. If anything, I felt satisfied, exhausted and confused. Confused about the destruction. We were strong but that could only could be described as a village that fail to defend from a beast invasion. We weren't capable of causing this.

I felt satisfied because it's a fitting end to my family, they won't be fixed up and they can be sent to the afterlife. But something inside was satisfied for a different reason. It's almost as if you finally scratched an itch on the bottom of your foot, or as if you ate a massive meal and ate more than your usual fill.

I tried standing up from being on all fours. I closed my eyes and gritting my teeth because of the burning pain that came from my wounds. I struggled and finally stood up unbalanced and feeling awkward. I opened my eyes to see the cause of the corpse filled room. 4 beasts stood in the room. There was a white wolf with 3 tails covered in blood stains which stood at almost 2 meters tall. Just behind it was 3 other creatures. Standing at 1.5 meters was a pitch black panther with whips of black smoke coming from it. The third figure was the smallest which was at 1 meter and was a bright red slim tiger which looked like it was eating the corpses. And the last figure looked like a small dragon with 4 wings with the 2 bigger ones at its shoulders and the 2 smaller ones more towards its tail. It stood around 1.8 meters.

They were looking at me strangely except for the tiger which continued to eat and smash apart more corpses. It was as if they were concerned about me. Looking up at me like that. Then that dawned on me. They were looking up at me. If they were 2 meters tall and looking up, how tall did I grow. Thinking that, I fell back down on my hands. I looked to inspect my wounds to see if I was fit to fight.

The next thought that ran through my head was, " Am I human?"

I had claws for hands and a hulk like body fit for slaughter. I had black and red swirl patterned fur that still displays my bulk body. I also had hind legs that were full of power as if it was made for speed. I felt my face to find out I had a snout and 2 curved bull horns on my head.

I glanced to the other beasts and they were now inspecting themselves when we heard foot steps and a clapping noise that echoed throughout the room.

"Well done my children, you've truly let the beast out of those pathetic human bodies. You are now the beast that your personality created. A War Dragon built for destroying cities or counties. A Luna Wolf made for ambushing and controlling nature to submit to your wrath. A Blood Tiger designed to slaughter anything in its path. A Shadow Panther to enter the domain of the shadows and assassinate anyone. And lastly but most impressive, a Demon War Beast. Created for destruction and slaughter. 1 War beast can turn the tides of war within seconds, but the rarity of them makes them almost impossible to find. Now this world has never seen a Demon War Beast before. Once again, most impressive."

So these beasts were my family, but where are the other 5 members. There were meant to be 10 survivors.

"Now onto the next part. I said that there would be 10 survivors but there are only 5 here. Where are the other 5 you might be thinking. Well I'm happy to tell you that they turned their back on the only other family they had. Leaving them to death. Let me tell you something about family, we never abandon family. Family is family, you might not have much left but you 4 came back to save 1 member even if that means death. Now those that abandon family deserve nothing but the wrath of the gods."

Well he does have a point. So those 4 came back for me huh. It seems I owe them 1.

"So for their punishment, we have injected them with a new medicine. The medicine needs a body like yours to devour and then anyone can eat the catalyst and grow beyond human capabilities, except in your case, you will grow even stronger and you might evolve into the next form without decades of hard work. But for you to do so, you'd have to eat the bodies of the traitorous family members. Your call."

He then claps his hands twice and 5 bodies drop from the ceiling. They convulsed as they hit the floor. They are screaming in pain and the first to leave us is the tiger, then the dragon followed and the panther left after. It was just me and the wolf left. We glanced at each other, nodded and then darted to our prey. We quickly over took our fellow siblings. The wolf and I started getting competitive and started to push each other to get to them first. We pushed and tripped each other and as I was within 10 meters of the 1st traitor, I felt something on my back and leap in front of me. Really? Did you have to flash that wink??
