The inclement weather took a toll on the sailor, who was trying to navigate his way through the torrent weather. He was lost, alone, and uncertain. It was the fight of his will against the chilly, dark, and rainy night.
It was the third day that he have been stranded on his small wooden boat. He was cold. His uniform was soaked in the rain and sea waters. Whenever the tides were strong, the waves crashed onto the exteriors of the only shelter he had. He knew that the waters beneath him were the home to many piranhas, and wondered how long his badly ruined boat will ever get him to the nearest shore. With the commodities that he brought along depleting, he was in hunger. Left with about a half-life bar remaining, he believed that he will get out of the turmoil situation alive. He knew that his loved ones are still waiting for him to be back home safely.
Without any compass to guide his way through the dark-shaded ocean, and the concentrated clouds overcast the stars above him, he was not sure where the gust of wind will bring him to. He did not fear and have no choice but to preserve on. It was his first adventure that he persuaded his parents to allow him to venture out in the wild and wanted to document his brave encounter to find mysterious gems that were out in the deep ocean, that one day he will share with the generations to come.

Eventually, he saw a dimly-lit, yellowish light ahead of him. It was a sign of life. It was what he longed for and glad that his prayers were heard. As his boat drifted nearer to the coast, there was an intermittent burnt smell that came from somewhere around him. Following the scent, it led him to a remote village where he saw a blazing campfire in the bushes. He asked politely, “Hello, is there anyone?”. There was no reply. The sound of owls calling and wolf howling that surrounded him covered his voice. He wiped the layer of dust from the window that obscured his vision and took a sneak peek in.
There were two tall and built shadows in the poorly maintained room. They were communicating something within the room. It seemed that, rather, they were trading illegal goods. Afraid that they will discover him, he stepped back and resorted to fleeing for his life before getting caught.
“What are you doing?” He heard a deep voice from behind. Flabbergasted, he knelt down and lifted both of his hands to surrender. “Jasper?”. He thought, “How do they know my name?”. The voice belonged to his roommate. As he looked at his watch, it was time for them to change their work shifts.
