The past week following earth's integration into the UNIVERSE System, had felt for the once apex predator, The Man, to fall in disgrace their power places all around the world falling under the siege of nightmarish or fantasy creatures, depending on how people looked at the invader who destroyed their home, killed, captured and enslaved their loved ones.

Unable to do anything, alas but to escape in the ever-growing green world that started to grow up quickly every passing day, landscapes changing slowly but surely shapes, who had once before been filled with the road connecting cities among them, making the survivors wander around those cities, too afraid to go deep in the unknown and hostile world who was so familiar to them before.

And under this premise the group of Chris who was about to face a possible disaster were starting to once again pack their bags, they knew deep down that it was useless to try and fight back, their heart beating faster and faster as their thought wandered on what to do and why was it so hard to make a choice, like if it was a blade on their necks which wouldn't afford any mistakes.

making their brain a mess, passing back and forth, in the alleyway of the hotel's first floor or their rooms, as some went back and forth trying to figure out what would their lives becomes from today onward feeling desperate with each passing second.

" George should we go find the military and fight with them, like that we would be able to decide where we want to go, this group seems like they would disband it's time we decide what to do we already paid for the help they gave us at that time, now it should be enough"

Kyle hurried footstep could be heard as he entered inside George's room his sturdy body after several leveling just like almost every other human making his body an athletic one, his short black hair messed up as if he just woke up, but he was too stressed to care about such a small thing, Amanda was already there seating on a chair in the living room of the chamber, her figure wasn't particularly beautiful but she had a charm after several encounters with death that makes people look at her twice.

hearing his words, Kyle stopped moving, as he looked at both of them, nodding, Amanda didn't say anything stood up and got out of the room deciding to go talk with the other girls.

Chris was looking blankly at the face of the woman lying on the bed in front of him, looking at her stained body, with her tattered clothing, his mind was filled with different feelings, bitterness and powerlessness that despite being so strong he was unable to use it efficiently, for the only one he felt a connection in this life of his since the apocalypse began

But that small moment of peace he had, was broken as Fred's voice rang from outside. the room followed just after knocks on the door.

" ch...Chris!, dude come on hurry up, things are getting out of control out there "

' for F....god! sake can't you guys leave me alone, ahhhh.....! '

Restraining himself from letting out curses, he didn't know how much, he wanted to spill poisonous curses to those guys.

Standing up, tirelessly as his body crackled from tense muscle, he opened the door slightly and looked at

" yeah what dude, if it's about the choice of what to do y...."

'" Stop bringing everything to you bro, did you get a hero syndrome or what! "

Fred instantly cut Chris from his tirade halfway following just after.

" it seems like the real apocalypse is beginning outside, a soldier shot at a civilian just a minute ago didn't you hear the shot!!, and things are escalating, we need to leave fast from here "

as Chris listened trying to talk as fast he could, his hand shaking as he tried to keep his Ax in his left hand steady, his senses seemed to come back as energy perception and his heightened senses came back, and before he knew it like if it was cut off all this time before since he came back in there room with Lisa.

" AHHHHHH, Helpppppp!!! "

" Ok sigh!! , call the others and tell them to be careful, there is Sky outside and with Lisa's snake with him at the entrance so no one would dare to come close... "

they looked at each other and it seemed the two of them heard the voices that started to rang from outside, as they looked at each other in the eyes.

Mixed feelings of fear and excitement ran for the split seconds they looked at each other.

Fred looking at Chris opened his mouth about to say something but stopped midway, the slightly excited expression from his friend made him feel like he was seeing a new personality of him he didn't know about.

- " No nothing just get ready, and come down "

He didn't take more than a minute or so before most of them went to the ground floor as Fred warned them, Leaving Sarah only upstairs with Lisa, and Eillen which they put in the room of Chris and Lisa.

But when they headed for the exit, no one needed to ask what was happening they all heard the scream outside.

Grouping as they went outside, what met their eyes was a bunch of people, who were surrounding Sky and Lisa's snake from a meter or so but despite their fearful movement, they all had faces full of anger gritting teeth as they mumbled words.

, what was more surprising was that there was a body of two soldiers, laying in front of the group, with blood flowing out of their bodies.

' it's them again, should have just finished things the first time they came at us, fucking useless people '

as he was thinking in his mind, looking at the bloodstained road, around the two bodies of soldiers, he looked at his supposed group who stopped him when he wanted to solve the situation the first time they went for them.

And as some of them met Chris's eyes, they quickly looked away.

None of them seemed like wanting to make a move, to talk.

" OK you guys this time, those useless soldiers aren't here to block us we will see how you will stop us from killing those fucking monsters "

but as Chris was thinking that this time, he wasn't about to help them, two men came out of the group of people, but he didn't recognize any of the faces of those guys.

He always didn't remember anyone unless it was really important, as he tried to remember why one of the guys that came out was glaring at him with oblivious content on his face, blood could be seen covering his left hand that was holding a knife, or rather a dagger with how big it was.

" don't look at me like if you don't recognize me, didn't you want to fight last time, here we come there isn't any more hindrance, do you come or not "

the man waved his dagger at Chris as he tried to look past the huge dog as he shadowed, covered him as it bared its teeth at him.

Gulping his saliva, he stopped his leg from going back as he stood straight, he remembered he wasn't alone looking behind him, looking at the guy who had two short swords who was looking at him, with a look of indifference making him only angrier.

" looks like it's because of you again, you tried to fight them last time, now look they came back "

Edward seeing that the man seemed to talk to Chris didn't miss his chance to put all the current situation on his shoulders, a slight smile at the corner of his lips.

This time Chris too had enough first this group of an idiot and now this one behind him, as he looked at him from down the stairs of the hotel entrance.

John interrupted the both of them, but as he was about to continue feeling like him too he had some anger to let out, He saw Lisa's snake moving, toward the group of people a gust of wind blowing his hair as the dust raised in the air.

And with that the scream of the group of people, as he felt a heavy pressure slightly coming from them raise.

And with his last word, cones of ice just like the one Sarah created so many formed behind the group of twenty or so people but compared with Sarah who created only two at the same there were six of them hovering in the air.

And none of them felt good having those things pointed at them;

" Fuck we're screwed how the fuck do they have so many people with the same skill as Sarah."

Emily cursed, she was the one always close to Sarah and the one who could see clearly from behind how much damage it could make, on evolved beast so let's not talk about the human fragile body.

As she finished her phrase, three of the ice cone fell like a meteor toward Lisa's snake While the three ones left went down toward them or more precisely toward Chris who was close to Sky.

The others had already started to retreat to the hotel, the barricade of cars they had placed buying them time, as it blocked some of the people who tried to climb up, the cars.

A look of craziness filled their eyes, as the fear they had for those monsters left the place for hatred, which was directed toward the group of Chris who controlled those beasts.

" So it's Like that you want to play it, Humm... "

Chris despite being fast knew he won't be able to run enough fast to escape the range of those ice cones, and didn't plan on letting Sky alone against those people, a w smile appeared on his face, as he felt his heart beating faster, his hands trembling from both he felt like fear and excitement.

His surroundings and the noise of Sky howl, or Lisa's snake hissing as it got it by the ice cone, slowly lessened.

His body heated up, as he controlled his Bloodline energy spreading it all around his body, by instinct knowing that he would help him reduce the damage he would receive from the cone, and with the knowledge of the New Path, he completed { Energy Mixture } gave him he was able to use barely 1/5 of his reserves of Energy, after fighting with Sarah he started to accommodate with the after effect or her attack just like the others which helped to estimate how much he would need for the incoming attack.

Sky Turned toward Chris and curled up, as his dark fur gave off a slight sturdy feeling as the sun shined on it.

Each of them had found their way to stay out of Sarah's attack range.
