As this is my first fanfic please tell me if I did any of my tags wrong or if you find any mistakes in my English as it is not my native language. Other than that, thank you for reading.

My name is Matt, I am almost 1 meter and 85 centimetres tall and have a mix between blond and brown hair and have light blue eyes. And I am 18 years old. I have always been pretty good at sports and kept getting better since I started practicing karate since I was 10 years old, at least until ‘that’ happened.
While me and my parents were on the train traveling to the north to visit my grandparents I was reading about various kinds of muscle cells (I was 17 at the moment). I always had an interest in the human body, particular the cellular level. What exactly happened when you aged and if I could possibly change the way it worked, perfect it and maybe even go beyond the perfection of a simple but complex human body. I just finished the read and was fascinated by it. While fantasizing about what I thought I would be able to do in the future I suddenly heard an explosion and the train derailed. When I turned to look at my parents I could see the terror spreading on their faces. It only took a few moments before we were thrown around in the cabin by the shocks from the train landing again. After that… Well to be honest I don’t remember anything after that, possibly from shock or just simply from passing out but apparently my body survived with only my left arm and leg broken. I was as lucky as one could get. The first three train units behind the explosion had just 1 survivor. And that’s me. The units after that apparently didn’t even get derailed as the emergency brake was immediately pulled and the worst case there was a man with a few broken bones. The cause of the explosion is still not found and honestly, I don’t care, my parents had died and that caused me to sink in depression.

I was never really close with the rest of my family but I still had a few good friends that helped me out. I owe them a lot for that.
Anyway let’s start with the story; we will begin at the end of spring a year after the incident.
