A week slowly passed, and it seems my kingdom hasn't became a wealthy nation yet. Honestly I was disappointed in my retainers. I might have to get things done my self. You would thing being from a more advanced world I could think of something, but I alas barely finished High School. I shoulda been a engineer or something then I would of been prepared for this. Anyways a King's duty was to give orders that his people would figure out how to accomplish right? So I already did my part. Steve Jobs didn't make the Iphone he just thought of it!

Seeing as nothing was getting done I had a backup plan though. There was a group of dark elves living in a nearby forest. If I could recruit them to join the kingdom then we would surely have our fighting power increase. And it was boring in the castle.

Skillfully I snuck out of the castle in the middle of the day, and made my journey to the elves territory. After a few hours of walking I found myself lost in the forest.

"This dam King never learned how to ride a horse." As I cursed to myself I encounter a dark elf on the road.

"Hello mighty dark elf I come in peace." I spoke King like a bowed.

"?"

Infront of me the young dark elf looking to be 13 was staring at me with a confused face, but I knew it all a lie!

"You can't fool me! I know your at least 300 years old oh wise elf!"

As if I would be fooled by such a thing. It's common knowledge elves appearance, and age never seem as they are. As I confidently stared down my elder she suddenly collapsed to the ground with tears streaming down her face.

"Whats going on!?"

For some reason I found myself consoling the elf as if she was a kid urging her to stop crying. Was I fooled?

"Ah young elf girl I am sorry for my earlier remarks could you perhaps show me to your village I am lost."

But the elf wouldn't stop crying. I couldn't be defeated here though, I was a King after all so I resorted to my last plan. Valiantly I got down on one knee infront of the elf, and brushed her long black hair aside.

"Would you like a sweet miss elf?"

I could hear the crying slowly come to a stop as I pulled a cookie from my pocket. No questions. The girls eyes changed, and she pulled the cookie from my hand, as she devoured it.

'Success!' I yelled out inside my head. My skill can't be rivaled in this world after all.

"Your looking for our camp?"

"Yes."

Looking at me a little better she lead me to her camp which was only a few minute from where we currently were. When the girl/wise elf lead me into her camp over thirty elves suddenly pointed their arrows towards me.

"HaHaHa you dare aim your arrows at your King!?" The elves didn't look amused, as they kept their arrows pointed at me.

"W-Wait its true!" The young elf said.

A loud gasp could be heard from the elves. Yes Yes my aura must be immaculate right now to cause such a fear in these dark elves. I will do my best not to betray your feelings as your King though.

"Your highness you!? To this human?"

"Yes he made his vows to me a-and I accepted."

The young dark elf blushed as she finished her sentence which put me on guard. Something is off here, there seems to be a misunderstanding somewhere.

"He suddenly got down on one knee, and asked me to be his sweet."

All of a sudden all the elves had huddled around the girl leaving me outside of the circle, as they talked to her for a while. After their discussion the elves all turned around, and got down on one knee.

"We shall acknowledge you as our King."

Of course of course it must be my Kingly aura after all that has convinced these mighty dark elves to follow me.

They all followed me back to the Kingdom. As we walked back I secretly asked a older looking elf how old that girl was. The reply shocked me 13! But but thats not legal right as long as she was 300 but looked 13 it would of been fine right!? Is there even age of conset in this world anways?? If I wait 5 years it would be fine though right...

And so my long four hour voyage outside of the Kingdom was a success, as I returned home with my elf wife.
