When there is no recourse for our existing plight, we must step up and forge a path toward supremacy. Even if we must resort to violence or force leaving in our wake a sea of blood and a horizon burning with fire.
The young elfling sprint though the overgrown vegetation unleashing a volley of arrows at an approaching predator. The beastly mega lion rushed at him teeth bared and deadly. He quickly evaded reaching for his dagger but before his fingers meet it hilt he was dead.
"Damn it!"He slammed his hands down on the laptop.
The springs reverberate faintly beneath his hand and the fan whirled to life, giving a harsh puff. A dim message was displayed on his screen.

It was the third time he had perished due to that horrid lion and he hadn't even reached the main objective a measly witch.
"I give up." He sighed closing down the window.
He had loved this game although it was ancient, 2D and had terrible graphics. It was nothing compared to the new splitting edge games that were released today including the new vrmmmorp New Horizons. He had finally reached level one hundred and three after ten years of constant grinding and monthly renewable subscription. His friends had called the game outdated and lame but he had lost himself in the adventure.
"Kier, there's a delivery at the door for you." His roommate yelled at him.
Delivery? what delivery? I didn't order anything... He thought to himself.
He raced down the stairs curious about what waited for him at the door. The wooden stairs groaned underneath his weight as if to protest its grievances and scorn. He was a chubby pubescent teen who hadn't quite grown out of his awkward faze. In his hast he dropped his glasses down the stairs.
"You got to be kidding me!" He shrieked.
"That's what you get for running around piggy." His other roommate ridiculed him.

Once Kier reached the bottom of the stairs he picked up the remains of his shattered glasses. As he stood back up his roommate scrunched up his nose and taunted, "Oink! Oink! Did piggy lose his glasses?" He laughed.
"What an ass..." He swore under his breath.
Tyler was one of the cool kids at the doom. He didn't have the best grades but he had money and looks. His blonde hair hung in his eyes which he styled back to show his blue eyes. Kier's other roommate Saber wasn't very sociable, matter of fact most kids called him the creepy ghost kid because he moved swiftly and silently. Saber wad the complete opposite of Tyler with his long black hair and violet eyes.
They really couldn't be anymore polar than they already were. Kier shook his head heading to the open door.
"Hello! How are you? Your Kier right?" The overzealous deliveryman asked.
"Yes? But I didn't order anything and I defiantly don't have any money." He replied.
"No problem! Kiddo! Its completely free, its the prize for the game survey you completed."
Game survey? Oh that's right! He did do something like that, just for the fun of it. What was the prize again?
"Sign here and I'll set up this brand new capsule for New Horizons for you." The deliveryman said shoving a slip at him.
New Horizons? Tyler and Saber both had capsules but he hadn't had any interest. He led the man upstairs to his room and watched as he set to work setting up the shinny metal contraption.
"Alright! All done, have fun." The man waved and left.
Excitedly he climbed into the machine but before he could start he was interrupted.
"Don't let Tyler know about this because once he finds out he'll make your "lives" both here and there living hell." Saber warned.
"I wont." I replied.
Saber was gone once he finished speaking.
Do you wish to connect to New Horizons
