Everyone’s life is a story, whether it is a mortal who tramples on the ground dreaming of great fame and fortune. Even Great gods whose names have reached all the corners of Heaven and Earth about their great deeds and adventures also started as mere dreams. But this is a story that's been passed down from generation to generation to all mortals of young gods and a mortal who changed the course of history and had their names known throughout all the lands.

“I’m lost” I sigh, scratch my head, and took a look around all I see are trees on my right and more goddamn trees on the left. It’s been over a month since I started traveling. And it’s now almost sundown.

“Oh great Gods of Heaven save your humble servant from this cursed eternal forest" Of course they wouldn't hear I'd been praying like this for a whole month and nothing happened.

Well, I guess I'm spending the night under the stars as usual and I'll probably need a fire some food and the best part of all me crying myself to sleep. I took a sad depressed sit on the tree stub. Maybe if I just…

"Don't you think a mere lady sitting in the woods by herself would be dangerous" a stranger's voice broke me out of my mental monologue. I leaped backward facing the strange man and readying my stance, bringing up my guard. Grabbing the axe from my back hoping to anticipate an attack from the man or any of his ‘hidden’ friends.

"Now that's a fierce way of greeting people" the stranger playfully swinging his sword. He had a carefree demeanor which surprisingly conflicted with me on how he lived for this long with such behavior in these dangerous lands.

“Humph…a woman of few words, I understand, why don't you spend the night with me and my boys, and let's go a couple of rounds it'll be safe" The man chuckled and his accomplices emerged from the shadows covered in all-black attire and unsheathed swords. "I should cut off your tongue for such filthy as you have no better use for it" These words made them all burn red from anger and if they tried to fight me I was confident that I could take on all four of them in a fight.

These people were not the same as the people who raised me. They not only took care of me and my father but rather hid the fact that I was a goddess. Yes, a goddess raised by mortals some would say that this is a change from how the stories usually say that gods come from an upper realm called 'Heaven' but I‘m special as I was born in the mortal realm. I've always had to keep this fact a secret all my life but now I need to make sure this fact is not known as there've been rumors of a mortal who can kill gods a 'god slayer' but enough of the useless thoughts I need to focus on the crises at hand.

Leaping backward making sure not to slam myself into the curtain of trees surrounding this place. I strengthened my legs with power and swinging my axe I chopped one of the bandits in half before he could even respond. His blood splatted across the trees surrounding us, you could see his organs from his once singular torso. This is one of the great blessings I received since birth the ability and raw strength to overpower even 100 men.

“Damn it! Quickly surround and kill her we don’t need her alive only her valuables” he roared from anger and shock from the brutal attack.

“Just kill her already! It's only one woman" They all attack simultaneously hoping that one of them would land a hit but anticipating such a crude attack I jump into the air landing on the tree and maneuvering myself I aimed for my next victim, swing the axe I slashed his head clean from his eyes to the tree behind him. This caused a great amount of dust to form and seizing the moment’s advantage I threw my axe at another bandit separating his torso and the lower half and dragging himself to his boss. “Help me!” he cried his face distorted from pain before dying in his arms.

"Dear god you're a monster," he said with a trembling voice as he abandons his weapon and tried to flee further into the woods but I didn’t let him go I tackled him to the ground. “Please spare me, we were only doing what we're told we rob the people who camp near the town further up north” he cried pleading, begging for my mercy.

“And why spare you” I questioned him while standing at a considerable distance from him I know I should get rid of him for trying to rob me but I think no I was raised to give people a second chance so I ask him why.

"I can provide u with information that u would find most beneficial to you" This is true I had no idea where I was going and getting information about this area can be the difference between life and death in the 'onyx plane'.

“Alright but what makes u think I can trust your information, what if you are lying to save yourself??” saying this statement I fold my arms but keep my axe in my eye view

"Look at us we are in a forest and it is about to be sundown and judging from your attire you aren't a native of this land, so that means you don't know what happens after sunsets or you can correct me if you want" he smirked because he knew that I wasn't a native of the land let alone some acknowledge about this land

“Fine but if your information doesn’t benefit me in the slightest I’m going to leave you crippled and not dead like your comrades, think of it as a punishment for betraying your comrades and try to flee with your life instead of dying in battle like a warrior… oh and remove that smirk I can get information from your mouth and you don’t need legs for that” This warning is important if I intimidate him he won’t think of trying to escape from me anytime soon.

"So what do I even call you??" I needed something to call him.

“They call me Grevan Blackthorn”
