Screams and shouts can be heard all around, many begging to stop only for their voice to be silenced soon after. Among all the chaos stands a man, mid-forties with slicked back black hair with a faded scar from his lower left nose running across his cheek and stopping just below his left eye, overlooking a map of a forest, unmoved and uncaring of the noise outside the tent.
"Are you sure we have them? No place for them to run?" Questions the man as he looks up from the map and looking to the other across the table.
"I can assure you there is no way for them to run. All the ways out have been cut off." Replies the man with a grin, body hidden by a cloak that unnaturally hides everything from the nose up regardless of the lighting.
"Good, all of this will end today."
"Sir, here to report." Came a voice from the entrance of the tent.
"Enter."
"Thank you, sir. We have finished rounding up the last of them and are in the final stages. We have also located the leader and currently have him trapped within his home. Awaiting further orders." Reported a soldier wearing a full helm and iron armor, all dyed black and covered by a cloak.
"Good, finish off those you have rounded up and be quick."
"Yes, sir!" Replied the soldier before heading back out the tent.
"Well, shall we get going Brynn. It's about time all of this came to an end."
"Yes... yes it is." Replied the hooded figure now showing a full grin.
-------------------------
"Is everything ready, we haven't missed anything correct?" Questioned a man in his early twenties, wearing a gown with golden decorations and cloak and all in various green tones with a golden crown on his head, nature in theme.
"Yes my king, we are as ready as we can be." Replied a man wearing a full helm with armor covering the chest and sword at his side, all in green tones and nature in theme.
"Then let us not wait any longer, finish before its too la.." Cut off short, he looked down and saw a little figure hugging his leg.
"Where we going?" asked the little girl with long blonde hair and a gown in the same style as the king.
"Somewhere far. A place we can be saf... a grand and magical place. But first, we must make a few stops. So you will go ahead with Nazric first." Replied the king with a tear falling down his eye as he lifts the little girl and hands her over to the knight's hands.
"Why you crying? What about mom?"
"Not crying little one, just... happy to see you. Don't you worry, mom will come with me." Said the king as he kissed the girl in the forehead, pushing the knight towards the center of the room filled with several more people. All of the men and women dressed in similar gowns, with slight fear and panic in their eyes.
"It was an honor serving my king." Said the knight as he stepped into the circle with the little girl.
"It was an honor being your king, sorry for not being able to do more."
"Goodbye, my king." shouted all the individual in the circle, all but one.
"Goodbye? but dads coming wit.." began to say the little girl.

"Love you little one." said the king as he slapped his hands and a circle under them became visible, causing them all to disappear in a flash of light. "And goodbye."
BOOM
Came the sounds as the doors to the room were forced open.
"Hello, old friend. I did not think it was you doing all of this... or maybe it was just my wishful thinking."
"Hello, Yinric." Said the man, followed behind by the cloaked figure Brynn.
"Guess its too late to ask why?"
"You were there with the rest of us. You saw it just like I did."
"So your solution was this, mass genocide, just so you could feel safe again."
"It was the only way. I could not let my people die like that...no matter how dirty this hands must get."
"We could have done something together like we always had. But instead... you cast us all away. How many drinks did we share, how many battles did we fight side by side with our friends? Guess this is all that meant to you."
"It meant the world to me Yinric, but this was the only way. But in the end, talking will get us nowhere. This is the end Yinric....will, you not turn and look at me?"
"As you said, this is the end. I wish to remember who you were, not what you became."
"The old times were great. As hard as it may seem, I truly wish that there was another way." He said as he was pulling out his blade and proceed to stab Yinric in the back.
"Goodbye Yinric."
"Goodbye Elfred." Replied the king with blood dripping down his mouth. Yinric slowly pulled out an orb from under his cloak. The orb, fist-sized but shining brightly like a small sun, was crushed by Yinric releasing a strong and visible shockwave that seemed to pass through all yet not harm anything.
"What did you just do?"
"Noting old friend... just gave life a second chance is all." Answered Yinric as he finally collapsed to the ground.
"....Well, its all over now..." Spoke Elfred as he stared down at Yinric.
"Indeed it is. But now the game is over... what shall I play next I wonder?"
"What are you talking about Brynn?"
"Noting for you to worry about Elfred." Replied Brynn as he withdrew a dagger and stabbed Elfred in the heart faster than he could react. "Noting at all.."
Elfred soon fell to his knees dumbfounded at what had just happened. Looking up he noticed Brynn putting on a plain white mask with two dents on it that would appear to represent eyes. Within seconds after putting on the mask, Brynn's features began to change to that of Elfred.
"But... how.." The last words of Elfred as the world began to go black, Brynn walking away to the doors and out of sight.

"AAAHHH!!" Screamed a boy as he rose from bed with a rush. Sweat covering his body, giving the impression of being ill.
"What's gotten into you boy?" Asked an older man, startled by the sudden shout and rise of someone what moments ago was in a deep sleep.
"I..I. I don't know, Had this dream...... It was so real."
"About what?"
"Not sure, just remember seeing a forest burning. So many people screaming and shouting as they run from these knights in black armor..."
"Just a nightmare boy, now calm yourself and rest. Once morning comes we can talk about this."
"..yeah, alright." Replied the boy, who appeared to be in his teens, slowly falling back into sleep.
