On the edge of the Dark Wood past the Easter Albine slopes lays the frontier town of Fletcher.
For many generations this town served as a major outpost to the frontier. That is until an ancient ruin was discovered. Being high up in the Albine mountains it was given the name Ice Fortress of Lethergy or simply as Lethergy's Folly. Clark V Lethergy discovered these ruins 150 years ago and with it started the 5th Age. The Age of Discovery.
Ancient ruins contain vast deposits of knowledge and technology. Lethergy who was a subpar merchant became one of the world's most influential people overnight. With his discoveries he got a position in the royal court of the Kingdom of Athalir.
Lethergy became obsessed with going deeper into the Ice Fortress. 5 years later Lethergy and 300 some adventures went on an expedition only to be never heard from again...
Over the course of 140 something years the kingdom sent countless number of brave adventurers to their doom

Explosions rung through the town startling people near by people. A flock of birds almost crashed into an observation tower in front of them when they tried to veer away from the directions of the explosions
"Kaw kaw!" The flock clamored as they past by

"Why is he even allowed to live here?..."

Alice called.
Tum: 'what?...Why?'

A chill ran up Tim's spine
Tim: 'Why doesn't nobody kill it?
Alice took on a look of pitty
Alice: '...Last year a group of older kids tried to challenge the demon. They were among best in the Arcadian Academy junior year.....'
Alice put her hands together in a gesture of prayer
Tim: 'W-What exactly happened?'
Alice: 'The demon ate them......'
Tim: '..............'
Tim: 'Y-you don't say....'
Alice: 'Yup! He ripped the meat of the bones and everything'
Alice said with a big bright smile
Tim: '...Blush....I-Im not s-scared of t-this d-demon
Tim tried show off in front of Alice and show her that he wasn't scared

The earth shook with the tremor caused by the blast. Little Tim fell on his but in surprise. He was 20 feet away from the demon's lair.
He heard the towns folk clear around the house
"Its that Damn that kid! Does he want to blow this whole town to smithereens?"
"His father was that traitor...."
"Why is he even allowed to live here?..."
"Shhh, if the demon hears you...."
As Tim was recovering from his shock when the door suddenly opened
Black tendrils of smoke oozed out as if swallowing the light itself. There; In the abyss he saw it. Two round bright red eyes peered out of the endless darkness and Tim turned pale. He didn't notice the wet spot form between his legs
Tim: 'Eeeeeekkkkkkk!!!' 'H-help! The demon is trying to rip my meat off my bones!!!
Little Tim crawled backwards before stumbling on to his feet.
Tim: 'Alice.....run!' 'Alice?'
Alice stood there lifless.
Tim: 'Nooooo. He took her soul.....I-I'll...I'll avenge you!'
Tim ran away screaming in horror

I reached the door. With barely enough energy left, I opened it
'Gaaassp' Tesla gasped as the fresh filled his lungs. The first thing came into his view was a decent looking blond kid sitting on the ground pissing his pants. He looked like someone from middle class home
Tesla: (Huh?.) 'H-he-'
Before Tesla could say anything his ears rung with a shriek.
Tesla started to look around for the source of the scream. It sounded like a little girl being shanked. He had to help her! After searching all around, his gaze fell on the source of that shriek. It was the blond kid who was pissing his pants
Tesla: (This that sound really come out of his mouth?)
Tesla though in wonder
'H-help! The demon is trying to rip my meat off my bones!!!'
The kid yelled
'Nooooo. He took her soul.....I-I'll...I'll avenge you!'
The kid yelled as he was running away crying
Tesla: (.....Huuuuh?)
Tesla's eyes slowly rested on a nuisance
Tesla: 'Alice......'
