Ever see one of those infomercials that sound like an amazing idea at 1 am but by noon the next day it is by far the most horrid idea that man kind has ever come up with. In my infinite wisdom… I purchased a device from EA.
The pitch was that it could improve your reaction times by as much as 400%. So I called in and had one on the way as soon as possible. Three days later in my hand I held a bottle of pills. It had one blue pill that you were suppose to take first thing in the morning then the other 10 pills throughout the day. The first pill held the chip the rest were micronutrients that would help it bond with your brain.
Ten hours and multiple bottles of Mountain Dew later and I was finished. I jumped in to start testing its effects immediately. I didn't have to work the next 2 days so I played until I essentially passed out on the couch. At 5am I started hearing this horrible ringing in my head. When I opened my eyes to reach for the alarm clock. In my field of vision was a HUD. It said one thing. “DO YOU WANT TO SNOOZE. YES/NO.” I said yes. A FUCKING SCREEN ASKING FOR CREDIT CARD INFO POPED UP, 4.99 per snooze or I could buy a snooze multipack for $100.

I declined. Every time I started to nod off. It poped up again with its alarms. Until 9pm it went off.
At the time it didn't dawn on me. Monday rolled around and it hit me. I work night. I literally was not going to be allowed to sleep the next day.
I called technical support… nothing I went to Drs they had no idea how to remove it. I'm on day 64 now. I've lost my job. I've maxed out my credit cards trying to get some sleep. I'm near to be done as I can be. I should have learned with battle front never trust EA.
