NEVER AGAIN Godric was the son of a high noble of Cedonia, who when faced with the choice of his family and liege lord or his closest friend, chose his family and liege. Because of that choice, he watched his closest friend, Alaric die. He forever regretted that choice, and no amount of revenge or grieving could bring the dead back, so he was forced to live with that decision for the rest of his life. A life of unimaginable pain and suffering. Even when Godric brought nations to their knees, nor when he avenged Alaric, did he feel even the slightest bit of joy. Like that, he had given up on life, on existence itself and prepared to meet Alaric in the afterlife, when he suddenly discovered a clue that could bring back his friend. To erase the mistake that forever tainted Godrics soul. He gave up all he owned to find the source of the clue, and upon finding it, he wished he never did. Never again would be doubt his true bonds. Never Again. Nonetheless, all bad things, have good endings, right? ----- This story has lots of politics and warfare, and very little High Fantasy or extreme fights. Most characters may be stronger than a normal human, but they wont ever fight or move at god like levels. Fantasy races are included in the story, but the main plot is regarding warfare, intrigue and politics. Also, it may interest classical and ancient history buffs. Please do enjoy.
