In his nearly three thousand years of life, he progressed in cultivation faster than any known human in history, founded a kingdom that rose into an empire, and became the first mortal to enter the Immortal Layer of cultivation, the ninth and final layer of cultivation. He became the first mortal to reach Divine Unity, the ninth and final level of the Immortal Layer. He became the first human to finish his final nine Qi compressions, and pass his final nine Tribulations. Tribulations said to be dangerous enough to destroy a continent and crack one of the moons.

It was here, at the end of his cultivation journey, that he received a Revelation from the Heavens. That the journey does not have to end here. He could choose to live out his life as an immortal emperor, ruling mortals and cultivators alike. Or, he could willingly undergo reincarnation, being reborn again, as a stronger baseline. It turns out that reaching the end of cultivation is truly only the first step in cultivation.
