[So you might be a bit confused that this chapter is in the same location as the previous one. You see if it wasn't broken up the chapter would be around twice that of the two before it. Also, although it didn't get a chapter because it was short and mundane, Hunter did go to Nidavellir and then returned to Idavoll. So technically speaking he did change location. Twice.]
A few days of waiting and it was finally about time for Hunter to return. Lady Hel was in the throne room pacing back and forth nervously and annoying Vidar a bit. "Could you stop pacing around like that?"
"I'm sorry, but he should have been back already."
"He's getting an entire group of Dwarves, I'd be surprised if he didn't have to make multiple trips."
"But that would take forever considering the cool down."
"Yeah, and you going back and forth like that isn't going to make things go any faster. At this rate you're going to burn a hole in the floor."
Lady Hel crossed her arms and glared at Vidar when suddenly the two heard a commotion from outside and went to check on it. There was a strange ball of colorful energy shooting lightning in every direction. "What the fuck is that?" Yelled Hel as she shielded her eyes. Then, as suddenly as it arrived the ball of energy vanished. In its place stood Hunter with about a dozen Dwarves all huddled up to him and holding onto him. As soon as they arrived Hunter flopped to the floor.
Hel ran over to Hunter as the Dwarves made room for her to reach him. "Hunter?! Are you okay?!" She lifted his head and held it in her hands. He was still breathing. "You couldn't just take multiple trips could you…"
One of the Dwarves, a female, the same one Hunter saved, walked over to Vidar. "So Hunter here explained everything. We have enough equipment in our storage bags to build two Bifrost engines and maybe some extra stuff if needed."
Vidar nodded in approval. "I'll show you to the boat."
Hel looked over to the Dwarf woman. "So what do we owe you for this? I remember the payment method for your kind not being monetary."
The Dwarf woman waved a hand dismissively as she walked over to the dry dock. "Hunter already arranged payment, so don't worry about it."
With the Dwarves and Vidar gone, Hel carried Hunter to his temporary home where Michael was chilling. "What happened? Why is he out cold?"
"He transported a literal dozen Dwarves in one go."
"A large group for what is, if I remember correctly, a double jump. Moron has no patience. I was about to head out to train more so you'll be keeping an eye on him alone. No funny business without his consent, okay?"
"What… What do you think I'm going to do to him in his sleep?"
"Don't play dumb. Anyway, bye."
"I noticed you spending a lot of time training with Thrud lately. Are you two…?"
Michael shrugged. "I mean… we get along well so it might happen. I'm taking things slow for once."
"Good for you, I think. I honestly don't know much about your dating history."
Probably for the best, because it's a mess. She's definitely my type though. Strong in body and or personality is my jam. My last girl was small but had a big personality. She was what my brother would call "a chihuahua" person. Chihuahua are dogs that are small but bark a lot and tend to like biting ankles."
"Ah, okay. Have fun with Thrud."
"Will do, later tater." Michael leaves with a wave, it's just Hunter and Lady Hel now.
Hel tilted her head at that farewell but then turned her focus to the unconscious Hunter. "You really have to stop pushing yourself so hard." She sat there for hours, eventually falling asleep at Hunter's side.
Hunter wakes up to the sight of Hel sitting in a chair leaned over him with her head in his lap sleeping. He gently puts a hand on her head. "Hey, I'm okay. You can go now."
Hel slowly wakes up and rubs her eyes. After a big stretch and a yawn she punches Hunter on the shoulder. "You had me worried sick. Don't you dare ever do that again. Idiot."
Hunter rubbed his shoulder. "Taking multiple trips would have taken me like two weeks. We need that boat up and running ASAP. Once we have as many of the other realms on board with cooperating we can bring Midgard in on the loop. Trust me, it's easier to save Midgard for last and have it join an existing alliance than to get it to help found an alliance."
"If you say so, I'll trust you." Hel held Hunter tight and hugged him before letting go and standing. "Now that you are up you have an obligation to Vidar that must be handled."
"Right, right. I didn't forget." Hunter gets out of the bed and stretches out before making his exit to find the three children of Thor. Once there, he finds the two brothers sparring with one another and Thrud sparring with Michael. "Michael, what are you doing here?"
"I needed to do something to pass the time so I came over here to train with the warriors. Thrud and I kinda hit it off and have been hanging out these past few days."
"Well it's nice to see you making friends and all but I've gotta figure out a way to decide who gets the hammer. Apparently Vidar thinks he's unable to do it without bias so he's handed the responsibility to me."
"I'll be over here observing then." Michael goes to the sidelines.
"Alright then, for those that don't know I'm Hunter Steel-Bone. I'm looking forward to working with you today." Hunter then shakes Thrud's hand first as she is the closest then shakes hands with the twins. "I'll be arranging a number of tests that'll help me gauge your physical and mental capabilities in order to determine who the best choice is for giving the legendary weapon to. First line of tests, written evaluation." Hunter's ring glows and he pulls out three clipboards with several papers on them. "We'll start with a simple number puzzle from my world called a Sudoku. I'll explain how it's done then let you complete one on your own."
Hunter ends up explaining how various types of math and puzzles work as he has the three so different kinds of written tests and even has them go through a number of moral dilemmas and military strategies on paper. After a while he looks over all the paperwork from each of the siblings. "Let's see… between the twins you two scored relatively evenly with Magni doing a bit better on tactile puzzles and Modi doing better at the math and memory sections. However Thrud did slightly better at tactile puzzles and just as well at math and memory, doing best at military strategies because you two struggled with the idea of commanding others opposed to just going in yourselves."
Michael also looked over the papers. "So that means Thrud has a lead right now?"
"Yeah, next up is the practical tests. Physical ability with a bit of teamwork exercises. It's not enough to be a good warrior, you need to be able to function in a group." Hunter then started moving stuff around to work as obstacles. "First test is speed and agility. You'll follow this path going under and over obstacles. You'll go one at a time and you'll be timed."
One by one the siblings navigate the obstacle course with Hunter writing down times.
"Okay, next we'll test your strength by having you move around various heavy objects around the city." Hunter leads them to different things from large rocks to tables and even has the siblings throw a hammer as far as they can. Everything is logged and Hunter leads the siblings and his brother to the arena.
"Let me guess, now we are going to spar." Thrud crossed her arms and stated plainly.
"Yeah, one by one you'll each have to fight me one on one. There is a catch. I'll be using two of my shields and you'll be unarmed. The spar will be timed and ends when you manage to get three good hits on me."
Magni protested. "No weapon while you have yours? That hardly sounds fair. How do you expect us to fight you without our weapons? We're nothing without them."
Hunter's tone suddenly got really serious. "If you are nothing without your weapon, then you don't deserve to wield it."
The twins grumbled as Thrud just snicked. "So who's first then, big guy? Will you be using your giant form?"
"No, just my shields. No armor and no Ymir. Magni goes first." Magni nods and moves closer to the center of the arena with Hunter. He put up his fists and readied himself as Hunter pulled out two of his seven shields. "You may begin as soon as you are ready, Magni."
Magni clenched his fists and rushed in, trying to get in close and throw a punch fast enough to get past Hunter's defenses. However his fist catches the shield with a thud, followed by Hunter swinging the shield to smack Magni pushing him back a bit. Magni, in his frustration, stomps the ground. As he does half his body including one of his fists covered in stone like armor.
"Ah, I was wondering when you'd pull out your powers. After all, I never said you couldn't use them." Hunter lightly teased the man.
Magni grumbled and closed the gap once more, this time throwing three punches quickly as he tried to get past the large shield. Eventually Magni stomps the ground with his foot causing the ground to break and shoot up rocks in a line from where the foot stomped causing Hunter to have to jump out of the way. Magni quickly moved to take advantage of this opening and went for a punch. His fist scraped the edge of the shield and gave Hunter a nice big whoop. Magni landed his first blow, with his stone hand no less.
Hunter staggered back but quickly regained his footing. Hunter coughed a few times. "Okay, I definitely felt that one. You just need to land two more now."
Magni tried using the stomp attack again but this time Hunter was ready and more than able to dodge. Magni received a shield to the face as Hunter made an attack of his own. Magni then grabbed the shield's tip after it hit him and swung Hunter around with ease, tossing him down the arena. "I'll crush you like bug, puny man!"
Hunter quickly got to his feet to block the next punch as Magni again rushed in, Magni then kicked at Hunter aiming for the shield intentionally with the stone foot. Magni kicked the shield arm away and went for a punch with his regular arm only for it to meet the other shield. As soon as Magni registered this he stomped the ground to cause the line of earth spikes to be created again under Hunter's feet and this time struck head on launching Hunter to the wall. Magni didn't hesitate to take this opportunity to rush in and punch at Hunter's sternum with his rock fist."
Hunter saw the punch coming and his eyes widened as he didn't have the time to do much so he drew on a bit of Bifrost energy and reinforced himself a bit to take the punch. Hunter let out a cough as he got the wind knocked out of him and he put his hand up indicating Magni to stop. Hunter kept coughing for a bit and Magni took a lot at the stone covering his fist. He then pointed to it and showed it to Modi. "It's cracked. This guy managed to crack my stone armor with his sternum. I guess they weren't joking when they named you Steel-Bone."
Hunter got up and cleared his throat. "The earthquake attack counts as a hit since you got me dead on with it making the sternum punch three. You're done. After a short rest Modi goes next."

Magni goes back to the group as Hunter recovers. Michael walks over to Hunter to check on him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "You good?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm not fighting for my life so I'm trying not to push myself too hard. Just wasn't expecting to get hit that hard."
"Well I doubt Modi's fists will be any lighter."
"I imagine all three hit really hard. They are the children of Thor after all."
Michael nods. "I'll leave you to it then." He goes to rejoin the crowd.
Hunter moves back to the center of the arena once more. "Alright Modi, time to show me what you've got."
The other twin moves to the center and readies himself. "I may not be as strong as my brother, but you'll find my ability far from lacking." As he took his step to rush, flames shot from his foot blasting him forward at a much faster speed then Magni moved. Yes, Modi wasn't as physically strong as his twin. What he lacked in strength, he made up for in speed.
Hunter was ready however and the first flaming fist was stopped fast by a tower shield. "I see what you mean, but keep in mind despite my lack of Aesir blood I'm no slouch when it comes to combat."
Modi doesn't verbally respond but instead focuses on fighting. Using bursts of fire to increase the speed of his punches and kicks and even making attacks that caused flames to lash out. Although Modi is still unable to get a solid hit in, Hunter's movements slow as his breath gets ragged. He's sweating like crazy and the heat is taking its toll. This allows Modi to get three solid hits in quick succession. After landing his blows he backs off. Without being able to see the timer however he has no idea if he did better than his brother. It felt close.
Hunter downs a bunch of water and rests for a bit as he tries to recover. He even dumps a lot of water on himself to cool down. "Even with my increased heat resistance that shit got hard to deal with. It's definitely a close one. We have one more spar here before the next test, but I need a minute or two before that."
Thrud started doing stretches. "Take your time Hunter. I'm in no rush."
Hunter had himself a quick snack and washed it down before making his way back to the center of the arena once more. "Okay Thrud, let's do this."
Thrud makes her way to the center. "Before we start, there's something you should know."
"Oh? What could be important enough to delay your test?"
Thrud takes a stance as she readies to rush Hunter, a big smirk grows across her face. "I fucked you brother."
Michael, who was drinking from a bottle of water in the background, choked a bit and spat out water. "Cogh cogh, what?!"
Hunter was taken aback by this sudden confession and almost didn't move in time to block the extremely fast lightning charged attack. Hunter barely managed to push her fist to the side using the edge of his shield. He couldn't help but laugh. "Hehe, that was a dirty trick. But as they say, all's fair in love and war."
Thrud doesn't hesitate for even a moment between attacks. She seems like a solid balance between the twins. Able to increase her strength and speed with her lightning abilities. Although the lightning is definitely conducting to Hunter and doing some damage, that damage is minimal as he's able to absorb and discharge the energy with relative ease. Thrud doesn't shy away from other dirty tactics like kicking up or throwing dirt, fake out attacks, and low aiming sweeps and sliding attacks. After some time exchanging blows the fight stops as she's able to get three solid hits in with various tricks.
Hunter huffs and drunks some more water. "That was one hell of a work out, all three of you definitely have skills at fighting."
Magni stands up having been sitting as he watched the fight. "Is that the last test, are you ready to call this?"
Hunter shakes his head no. "I've got one more thing to test. Busy first, a question. Besides his tendency to drink, can anyone name the two biggest flaws of Thor?"
Modi quickly got to his feet as well hearing this question. "Our dad's flaws? He was the strongest in the realms at the time."
Thrud chuckled "Physically maybe, but let's face it. Our dear old departed dad, rest his soul, had a bad habit of rushing into a fight with no forethought."
"That's definitely one of them. The second?"
Everyone thinks for a bit before Michael speaks up. "I may not be an expert on mythology, but I don't ever recall a story where Thor fought alongside someone. He always rushed in alone and kinda forgot other people besides himself and his opponent existed."
"There was one time dad and I took on a giant together but I'm not sure I'd call that teamwork." Magni added.
Hunter nodded. "He was bad at working with others. A good warrior, a bad soldier. So naturally your next test will be checking how you work in teams. You'll have full access to armor and weapons. Teams of two, Magni and Modi on one team. The second team will be Thrud and Michael. I'll be going all out and both teams will be racing to hit me dead on three times. Both teams will be competing at the same time against me. I'll get Michael equipped so he can keep up with you lot and then we'll get started."
Hunter took Michael to the side and handed him a ring. "This ring is like mine and stashes stuff in it. It's got a set of armor and weapons. Both use ice enchantments for defense and attack. Take it and go back to Thrud to get ready."
Michael grabbed the ring and put it on. "Just to be clear, Thrud and I haven't…. You know, done anything. Yet."
"What and who you do is none of my business man. If she makes you happy I say go for it."
"What about you?"
"What do you mean, what about me?"
"What about your happiness? Don't you think you deserve to be happy for what little time you have?"
"It's not about what I deserve or what's fair."
"Are you going to honestly tell me you don't think you deserve to be happy?"
"Brother, if I'm being honest, there are times I don't even think I deserve to be alive."
"That's… heavy. I guess I'll go get ready with Thrud now, we'll talk more after."
Hunter nodded as Michael went back to the group with his ring. The three already had their weapons ready. Magni had a mace and shield, Modi a sword and shield, and Thrud had herself a mace and sword. "Hey guys, check out what my brother handed me." He shows them the ring and activates it. The icy blue armor was quite a sight with its crystalline spikes on the shoulders, wrists, and shins. The weapons inside were a pair of axes with blunt hammer ends on the back so they could be used for slashing or bashing.
Thrud looked the armor and weapons over. "Not bad, not sure if the ice enchantment suits you personally but the weapons definitely do." She then puts her hand on her chin.
Magni chuckled. "You got a mortal who unlike Hunter has no access to powers outside the enchantments he's been given, you are at such a disadvantage it's not even funny."
Thrud almost completely ignored Magni's teasing. "Hey Michael, is there any way your brother knew what powers me and my brother had beforehand?"
"Eh? I'm not sure. I know your dad's powers are well documented in mythology but I'm not sure about yours. I honestly expected you all to have lightning and thunder powers. Why, something wrong?"
"I was thinking it was strange for him to set it up like he did. Rather than take on each team separately and time it like before, he's trying to take in all four of us at once. Then you have our powers. If you think about it, each of us has a power similar to one of the four tribes of Jotun. Magni has Earth powers, Modi fire, I've got lightning or storm powers, then you e got ice thanks to your new gear."
Michael also found it strange till just now, then he laughed. "Hehe, I'm not sure if the power thing was foresight but you are right about the first part. If he wanted clean info on what team did better he'd test them separately, like with the previous test."
Modi overhearing this tilted his head. "Are you two suggesting that this isn't meant to be a competition, but rather all four of us working together? If that's true, why add the entire first to three hits wins thing?"
“Just think about it, if all four of us are going to be fighting in this upcoming war, doesn't it make sense to get us to work as a team? This'll be the biggest threat the realms have ever faced so the only way to win is together. So rather than fight each other and him we should work together to fight him.”
Michael grumbled. “That seems even less fair than pairing the twins who'd have a natural advantage through twin power. If you are sure about this though I'll go along with it “
Magni crossed his arms. “I don't exactly like it, but I'm willing to go along with it. Let's do this.”
Hunter comes back into the area in giant form wearing his armor, he's got his shields out and Light-bringer is floating around him with its ghost swords floating with it. Butcher addressed the group. “Alright everyone, as I explained before your goal is to try and be the first team to get three hits past my shields. I won't kill you but I won't exactly hold back either. So give it your all.”
All four nod and ready themselves. Getting past seven shields and seven swords will definitely be a challenge but all four were determined to get their hits in as a group. Butcher indicated the challenge would start and rather than wait for them to move he went straight for Modi aiming to make the first attack. Luckily for Modi his speed allowed him to escape being backhanded with a tower shield.
Thrud and Michael try to aim for different sides while Magni goes for Butcher’s back, however with plenty of shields he's able to block all three attacks. His frond, however, is left exposed just long enough for Modi to get a hit in despite getting his ribs swatted by the blunt of a sword courtesy of Light-bringer. Butcher pushes everyone back with his shields before sliding himself backwards to get some distance so he can think over his next move. The four were working really well as a four person team rather than two teams of two. Hunter had hoped for but not actually expected this outcome.
Hunter wanted to switch to the defensive but knew that would only drag the fight on longer than it needed to go. This test had already succeeded in doing what Hunter wanted it to. However he already said he wouldn't hold back, so as Butcher he'd still give it his all. Butcher took a stance and readied himself to run and burst at Thrud at blinding speed having launched himself with a burst of flames similar to what Modi does. He grabbed Thrud by the throat and threw her into a wall. Modi however kept pressure on Butcher by hitting him with flames which Michael followed up on by smacking Butcher in the side with the hammer end of his two weapons hitting Butcher with a blast of cold. This causes the armor to crack and chip where hit and Butcher has to once again get distance.
This time the four closed in as soon as they could to try and attack only to be forced back again because ice spikes erupted from the ground around Butcher. Then Butcher looked up and raised a shield to block an attack from above that pushed him back a bit and caused dust to obscure the battlefield. After a metallic clang, Vidar came flying out of the dust cloud having been pushed out by Butcher.
Vidar stood himself up using Gleipnir as energy arched from his boots. “Stand back kids, I'll take it from here. You did well getting it into the arena.”
Thrud and Michael were confused, was this part of the test? That question was answered when Vidar launched Gleipnir at Butcher. Although Butcher was more than able to move a shield to block in time it wasn't good enough. Gleipnir always strikes true, and moves around the shield to pierce Butcher through the side. “Uncle Vidar, what are you doing?!”
“What does it look like I'm doing? I'm saving you from this rouge giant that somehow got into this realm. I get you four thought you could handle it as a team and you were doing well but I'll take it from here. Hunter would be proud to see you four working together like this.” Before letting Thrud respond Vidar ran at Butcher with a loud pop sending a burst of air from where he launched. Vidar kicked the spear the rest of the way through and grabbed it on the other end. He then ran back and swung the spear only to hit the shield and was back by the group. “Why aren't you running? I said I've got this covered. Maybe grab Lady Hel just in case.”
Modi looked at Thrud and nodded. “I've got it.” With a burst of flames Modi ran out of the arena at high speed.
Butcher let out a roar as he pushed Vidar away with a shield. “You're making me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.”
Vidar readied his spear to throw once more. “I won't let you harm anyone in my realm, monster!”
Thrud shouted at Vidar. “Damn it Uncle, just listen to me! You know for someone known as Vidar the Silent you sure have a bad habit of talking over people. If you shut up for long enough for me to talk you'd know that that's no monster! That's Hunter!”
Vidar loosed the spear just as Thrud said the last sentence. “Wait, what?” But it was too late to take back what he did, the spear was already on its way.
When it reaches Butcher he timed his shield movement to smack it away, but it simply flew back and at him once more, this time getting him in the back. The spear went through his kidney and gut causing him to stagger and spit out blood. The spear managed to hit the spot where Michael made a hole so the spear went straight through and back into Vidar's hand.
“Is he possessed or something? Why was he attacking you and what is with him looking like a Jotun?”
“He was running us through tests, this is some sort of power he has. I'm not sure exactly what it is but he had full control of himself before you came along and got all stabby.”
“...Shit. He did say something about having the power of Ymir but I didn't realize this is what he meant.” He then let out a shout to Butcher who was holding the hole in his body and using energy to close the wound. “Sorry Hunter, I didn't recognize you.”
Butcher slowly stood to full height, breathing hard with steam coming out of his mouth. His svelte body grew and changed to be more bulky and muscular. “No more Hunter, only Butcher.” The deep angry voice boomed from him.
Vidar's eyes widened. “...fuck.” was all he could manage as Butcher rushed him and smacked him with a shield sending Vidar into the arena wall.
Michael grabbed Light-bringer out of the air. “I know you're supposed to back my brother up at all times when you're out, but just this once you should sit this one out. Yeah?”
Light-bringer chirped and stood down, floating near Michael.
Vidar climbed his way out of the rubble and rubbed his head. “Okay, I'll let that one slide but you really should stand down. I apologize for the misunderstanding.”
“Rip and tear. RIP AND TEAR!” Was all that came out of Butcher's mouth as he continued his pursuit, Vidar doing his best just to avoid another hit.
“Have you completely lost it?! We're supposed to be on the same side here. I said I was sorry already, what more do you want?!”
“Blood and gore, guts and tears!” Butcher belted as he continued his rampage, all sense seemingly gone. “I'll rip out your heart and feed it to you!” Butcher went for a heavy punch, the tip of the shield aimed right for Vidar's head when suddenly Lady Hel ran in-between them and reached out her hands.
In a simple quick move Hel slipped her hands under the helmet and slipped it off. Gently caressing Butcher's face. “Shhhh, it's okay now. You're safe. I know you've been holding a lot in, but you can let it go now.”
Butcher had stopped right in his tracks. He looked Hel right in the eyes. His hand slowly reached out to her face. Vidar yelled out to her “watch yourself, he's lost it.”
Hel looked over to Vidar. “Not lost, just scared.”
Butcher's hand gently touched Hel's half mask. “No more hiding, no more deception.” He slipped the mask off her and a green energy moved over her body. Her skin changed to a pale shade of green, her eyes a yellowish green over black skalera, small horns on her forehead poking out slightly. Butcher put his head on her's. “I see you.” A green wave goes over Hel once more and her appearance returns to what it was. A light envelopes Butcher as he stashes his weapons and armor. He then falls to his knees as his body glows before shrinking to its normal size.
Hel drops with him and puts Hunter's head on her chest, shushing and rubbing his head. Hunter softly sobs into Hel's lap. “I don't want to do it, I'm scared.”
“Shhh, it's okay. What is it you don't want to do?”
“I don't want to die, I saw how it ends, I felt it. When that net hit me and caused a feedback I got flashes of different things across time. Everything was out of order, but three of the things I saw were more vivid than the rest. I saw and felt the fight Ymir has with Odin, I felt his body as it got split apart. I saw and felt myself dying, at the end of the war yet to come. I saw a strange tree in a lake, mannequins in rags hanging from its branches.”
“Calm down and slow down, one thing at a time.”
“I know what I have to do, for the good of the realms, but I don't know if I'll be strong enough to do it. I don't want to go, I'm not ready.”
Vidar takes a step back. “He's been holding in a lot for a while, hasn't he.”
Michael steps closer to Hunter. “And here I thought you weren't freaking out because you'd gone completely numb. Turns out you just bottled it all up like you use to when you got bullied when we were kids. I've told you that you don't have to carry the entire burden on your own Hunter. Even if the end is set in stone, you can lean on us till then to make things easier.”
Hunter lets out another soft sob. “I wanna take a nap now.”
Hel lifts him off the ground and carries him. “I'll take you to your bed, and if you want I'll stay with you and help you through this. It's okay to be afraid of death, most people are.” She continues rubbing Hunter's head as she moves him to his temporary home and into his bed. She stays with him till he's asleep.
Vidar lets out a loud sigh. “Ffffffuck. What a mess.”
Thrud lets out a nervous chuckle. “I hope he'll be okay. We kind of need him.”
Michael pats her shoulder. “He'll power through and be ready when we need him. He's just got a lot of pent up shit to work through. All we can do is be there for him and back him up.”
Thrud nods in agreement. “Emotional struggles and internal battles have been the downfall of many great warriors. If my father had proper emotional support when he needed it he probably wouldn't have turned to drinking and self destructive behavior. If we are going to be his shield siblings in the outer battle we may as well also be so in the inner battle.”
Hunter napped with Hel by his side, in the morning he'd let Vidar know his thoughts on who should get the hammer. Thrud was clearly the best choice but all three had proven worthy. After taking care of that final business he went to prepare himself to take Hel back to her home with the dwarf team. However Michael had a small surprise for Hunter when he went to pack things up.
“He bro, uhhh… so two things. First the dwarves gave me my own auto translator. Second…. I'm staying here. Thrud and I have kinda hit it off and I want to see where that goes.”
“Ah, I see. Good for you. I wish you the best brother and I'll see you again.” The two shook hands then hugged with back pats before a final wave goodbye. With that done Hunter took Hel and the second team of dwarves to Helhiem to start on the second boat.
