Chapter 13: Yakushi Kabuto

Chapter 13: Yakushi Kabuto

"You three..."

"It will only bring shame to our Uchiha clan!"

Facing Uchiha Izuma, these clan members who had no restraint.

Shisui scolded in a deep voice, but he felt a sense of boredom and helplessness in his heart.

No wonder everyone in the village had that look when they saw Uchiha clan ninjas.

"Hateful..."

Feeling Shisui's piercing gaze, Uchiha Izuma reluctantly withdrew his clenched fist.

Although he was very reluctant, Shisui, as the clan's genius, was stronger than the three of them.

"Yu..."

"I apologize to you on behalf of the three of them."

After stopping Uchiha Izuma and the others, Shisui approached Yu, his face showing a hint of apology.

"I was not done having fun yet."

In response to Shisui's apology, Yu responded with a displeased tone.

However, despite his words, Yu's right hand, which had been manipulating the parasitic threads with great dexterity, abruptly stopped its movements.

"But, for Shisui's sake..."

"I'll let you three go."

In the future, I might need to show some respect to the renowned "Shunshen Shisui," not to mention that he had just done me a small favor.

For a genius ninja like Shisui, who had an upright character, it was generally difficult for even his enemies to harbor ill feelings toward him.

As he spoke, Yu retracted the parasitic threads he was controlling.

The bodies of Uchiha Enma and Uchiha Yan, who were beside them, suddenly regained their freedom.

"That's quite a powerful ability. Is this the extent of your bloodline limit?"

Yu had just silently controlled two of his fellow Uchiha clan members, which Shisui had witnessed with his own eyes.

At that moment, Shisui was staring at Yu with burning curiosity in his eyes. Clearly, Yu's extraordinary talent and unique abilities had piqued the interest of this Uchiha clan genius.

"Is there a limit to bloodline limits..."

Feeling Shisui's intense gaze, Yu shrugged indifferently.

"If you want to see it that way, then so be it."

In the world of Naruto, a power like the Devil Fruit could indeed be considered a limit of bloodline inheritance, and a far more potent one than most.

"If there's a chance, I really hope to spar with you."

Seeing Yu's nonchalant attitude, Shisui suddenly felt like his fist had hit nothing.

But soon, he changed the subject and his expression grew eager again. "By the way, in two months, the ninja academy will start. I assume you'll be attending as well, right?"

"There might be a chance." Sensing the strong fighting spirit in Shisui's eyes, Yu ambiguously replied with a smile.

"As for the ninja academy... let's discuss it when the time comes."

Yu silently added, with a tinge of bitterness in his heart, that he needed to gather enough tuition fees. It seemed that in the original story, Naruto was so poor that he could only afford instant ramen and still barely afford ninja school. Probably, the Third Hokage and others pulled some strings for him.

"It's getting late; I should head back."

"See you next time, Shisui."

Glancing at the already late morning sky, Yu turned and left before Shisui had a chance to respond, leaving only his waving figure behind.

"Yakushi Yu... What an intriguing individual."

Watching Yu's figure gradually disappear into the distance, Shisui muttered to himself, his black eyes flashing with an inexplicable light.

"It seems like the Ninja Academy won't be as boring as I thought..."

...

Back at the Konoha Orphanage, it was already nighttime.

Urushi and the others had all finished their dinner.

But on his way back, Yu had taken care of his own food and clothing.

"Yu!"

"You guys haven't returned until now!"

Seeing Yu walk in from outside the wooden house, Urushi was the first to stand up.

However, after witnessing Yu's extraordinary performance earlier in the day, Urushi's eyes held a different look than before. There was a hint of fear, envy, and perhaps even desire and longing.

"Well, I practiced a little longer today..."

"And I met an interesting guy."

Yu simply nodded, seemingly unaware of the change in Urushi's demeanor.

Yu had noticed that all the minor injuries on Urushi's body had healed.

In the hall of the orphanage's wooden house, besides children like Mai and Momoka, there was also the silver-haired child who had been rescued the previous day.

"They told me you saved my life yesterday."

"Um... thank you."

As Yu entered the hall, he was greeted by a silver-haired child who stood in front of him.

The wound on his forehead had been bandaged, and he now wore a black samurai helmet. Additionally, a pair of large, round-framed glasses perched on his young nose.

Looking at Yu, who was half a head taller, the child blushed slightly. "And... I have a name now."

"Director Nono gave me a name."

"Kabuto, my name is Kabuto Yakushi, and Director even gave me her own glasses."

It was indeed him...

As Yu gazed at the bashful child in front of him, the image before him finally matched the character in his memory, now that Kabuto Yakushi had donned the glasses given to him by Director Nono.

Deep within his heart, Yu sighed softly, his eyes revealing a hint of complexity.

Kabuto Yakushi, Orochimaru's assistant and one of the three legendary ninjas in the original series. A talented individual proficient in medicine, espionage, ninjutsu, and more.

He was a character that Yu held in high regard in the original story, being both intelligent and thoughtful. When he was first introduced, his strength was on par with that of "Konoha's Number One Ninja," Kakashi Hatake, despite being only twenty years old at the time.

Later, he absorbed Orochimaru's and his subordinates' abilities and successfully mastered Sage Mode alone in Ryūchi Cave, one of the three sacred places of senjutsu. His power once overshadowed the combined efforts of the Uchiha brothers, Itachi and Sasuke.

In the final Fourth Great Ninja War, with a technique surpassing the Second Hokage Senju Tobirama and Orochimaru, Kabuto became one of the major adversaries who initiated the war's climax.

As a child, he had been adopted by Konoha Orphanage Director Yakushi Nono during the Third Great Ninja War. Later, he was conscripted into Danzo's Root organization, which used him to carry out espionage missions by threatening Director Nono.

In the end, knowing too many secrets led to a plot in which Danzo manipulated them into killing each other, and Orochimaru was sent to eliminate them both simultaneously. However, Orochimaru recognized Kabuto's talent and invited him to join the Sound Village.

Kabuto was now standing before Yu, still a kind and timid young man, untouched by the path of darkness.

"Your medical ninjutsu is so powerful..."

"If possible, I'd like to learn medical ninjutsu too, so I can help everyone!"

Saying this, the young Kabuto looked at Yu with a mixture of envy and longing.
